DCS simulation modeling and development for ethylene cracking plant

On the basis of the analysis of ethylene cracking process, equipment, process control and operation conditions, using process control system simulation platform, Ethylene cracking plant DCS modeling and simulation training system were developed. Using continuous modeling method, combined mechanism modeling with test data analysis, DCS control system mathematic model was established, by which normal operation, start, shutdown process and accident treatment process were simulated. The online evaluating system was developed too, which supply a virtual platform for the training of ethylene cracking process. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Using virtual reality computer simulation technology, by researching of the ethylene production process equipment and production process, Ethylene cracking plant modeling and simulation training system development were completed. Ethylene cracking device 3D modeling development scheme and process were introduced, which include the use of 3DMAX software for 3D modeling design, combined with the virtual reality software realization of human-computer interactive function design. Based on Virtual reality technology, 3D simulation system of ethylene plant was realized. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Relay selection (RS) and power control are two essential parts in cooperative cognitive relay network. RS is equal to power control in the condition that a relay cooperates with its full power or doesn't cooperate at all. So the optimal signal-to noise ratio (SNR) value is described as a 0-1 nonlinear programming integer problem (NLIP). In this paper, a multiple relay selection (MRS) scheme based on artificial bee colony algorithm (ABC) is proposed that can fully obtain optimal SNR value. Simulations show the performance of MRS scheme by ABC algorithm is better than that of exhaustive search, single RS scheme and other sub optimal MRS schemes.

This paper proposes a fuzzy PI hybrid speed controller for a PMSLM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Motor), which is based on a friction disturbance observer. It can improve the problems caused by the friction disturbance and the system parameters perturbation. Also the problem of the blind area for fuzzy control is eventually eliminated, because of the introduction of the PI control. Finally, through the simulation test and comparative analysis with the traditional PID control method, the validity and rationality of the control scheme is illustrated.

Base on the the high performance requirements of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) speed servo system for non-sinusoidal oscillation control system of continuous casting mold, a global dynamic sliding mode(GDSM) control method is proposed, The reaching law of the sliding mode is designed by exponential fast terminal sliding mode(EFTSM) method and the controllers could effectively diminish chattering by designing the first derivative of control output which contains discontinuous function of sliding mode control; Considers the time variation of parameters perturbation and load disturbance of PMSM, a extended state observer (ESO) is constructed to observe the dynamic observation of total system perturbation and conduct feedforward compensation; theoretical analysis shows that the closed-loop system is global bounded stability; The simulated results show that the static and dynamic performance of the PMSM speed servo control system can be significantly improved by using the proposed method.

This paper presents a methodology of the dynamic analysis and control for a novel hybrid humanoid robot arm. The hybrid humanoid robot arm under consideration consists of a spherical parallel manipulator (SPM) connecting two revolute pairs in series form. The dynamic model of the hybrid humanoid robot arm has been set up based on the lie group and lie algebra combining with the principle of virtual work which can avoid processing of constraint reaction and the division of logic open-chains, as well as a great quantity of differential operation. Aiming at the parameter uncertainties and disturbances, an adaptive backstepping sliding mode controller is developed. Compared with PD control in trajectory tracking simulation, the results show the advanced of the controller.

The hydraulic system's reliability is a key factor to ensure the reliable operation of equipment and it is very important to evaluate reliability of hydraulic system. The paper describes a reliability prediction method that may be used to evaluate the reliability of hydraulic systems for industrial applications. The proposed method takes advantage of fuzzy set theory. The aim of this method is to minimize the deficiencies of the traditional reliability prediction methods treating a failure rate as fixed value due to insufficiency practice data. Triangular fuzzy number and Gaussian fuzzy number are used in the application of this prediction method, where environmental factor, derating factor, and other factors are considered. Finally, an example of type crane's hydraulic system is given to verify the feasibility and practicability of the method.

In order to overcome the difficulty of constructing the multi-state system's reliability optimization model, and the shortage of premature convergence of PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm, a new reliability optimization method based on T-S fault tree and EPSO (Extended PSO) algorithm is proposed. According to the T-S fault tree and T-S rules of the events, the multi-state system reliability optimization model is constructed, at the same time, given constraint conditions on the system cost, weight and volume, and combined with the death penalty to construct the fitness function. Furthermore, EPSO algorithm based on the attraction and repulsion forces in the artificial physics is applied to the reliability optimization of multi-state hydraulic system. Comparing with PSO algorithm, the results of EPSO algorithm are in a better performance in obtaining global optimal solution.

This paper is concerned with the demand side management problem in smart grid, where consumers are served by multiple energy providers. In order to match with the supply, we propose a Real-Time Pricing (RTP)-based energy consumption scheduling scheme, which consists of energy consumption allocation, energy provider selection and real-time pricing. Specifically, the energy scheduling problem is first cast into a combinatorial optimization problem. Then, a distributed algorithm is designed, where energy providers and consumers jointly compute the optimal energy consumption allocation, energy provider selection and price. The algorithm can maximize the aggregate utility of all consumers in the system in a fair and efficient fashion. Simulation results confirm that the proposed distributed algorithm can potentially benefit both consumers and energy providers.

Aimed at decreasing the tension variation during transforming process of "1+4" aluminum hot rolling mills unit in one factory of Henan,we analyzed the factors affecting tension variation and improved the tension formula of hot rolling mills process considering the influence of tension on forward slip *** tension forming process of hot rolling mills from stand 1 to stand 4 is simulated,and the tension structure diagrams of the four-stands are *** to nonlinear characteristics of the aluminum hot rolling mills tension system,conventional PID controller could not meet the requirement of the *** we proposed the mixed control of Cerebellar Model Articulation controller(CMAC)coupled with PID to solve the problem of online parameters control and we used Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm to optimize PID controller *** simulation,it could be found that the using of PSO+CMAC significantly reduced surplus adjustment and transition time,and strip tension coupling degree among stands was also reduced.
