HIFI-Stego: A High-Fidelity Embedding Audio Steganography Based on Audio Features Decoupling

The higher audio quality of steganography is directly correlated with the increased resistance to steganalysis tools. The advancement of generative AI technologies, particularly those that decouple style features from content, has shown promising developments by facilitating the creation of superior media content. This paper introduces the concept of audio decoupling and presents HIFI-Stego, an embedding audio steganography technique that aims to improve security while maintaining elevated stego audio quality. HIFI-Stego comprises a generator based on the encoder-decoder architecture and a secret message extractor. The encoder of the generator decouples the original audio, yielding the content vector, while the vocoder WORLD is employed to extract the style vector to preserve high-quality audio related features such as timbre and tone. Subsequently, the decoder embeds the secret vector into the decoupled content vector and then couples it with the style vector to generate high-fidelity stego audio. As embedding is not done in traditional time domain or frequency domain, existing analysis tools targeted at traditional steganographies fail to effectively detect the presence of the hidden message. The secret message extractor reuses the generator encoder and augments it with a single-layer convolutional neural network, resulting in a simplified structure suitable for lightweight deployment. Experimental results demonstrate that HIFI-Stego outperforms traditional generative and embedding steganographies in terms of audio quality, steganographic capacity, anti-analysis ability, and concealment.

Lung diseases such as pneumonia and tuberculosis present significant global health challenges, leading to millions of deaths annually. Chest X-ray imaging is crucial for diagnosing these conditions, but interpretation often relies on specialized radiologists, creating barriers in resource-limited areas. This study introduces a novel framework integrating topological data analysis (TDA), deep learning with ResNet-50, and contrastive learning to enhance the accuracy and computational efficiency of chest X-ray analysis. TDA captures global topological structures, while ResNet-50 extracts detailed local features. Contrastive learning then optimizes the feature space, enhancing the model's discriminative power and generalization capabilities. Comprehensive evaluations on multiple datasets demonstrate the framework's robustness and effectiveness, showing substantial improvements in diagnostic performance and computational efficiency. These findings suggest that the proposed approach is well-suited for real-time clinical applications, especially in resource-limited settings. Future work will focus on further optimizing the model and exploring its application to other medical imaging modalities, broadening its clinical utility. © 2024 IEEE.

Accurate short-term electric load forecasting is crucial for ensuring the stability and efficiency of the power grid. This study proposes an innovative dual-branch electric load forecasting model that enhances the accuracy of predictions by processing global and local features in parallel. Global features are extracted through the Savitzky-Golay filter and a linear model to capture the overall trends of the load data. Local features are identified using the Convolutional Self-Attention Module, which integrates the local perception capabilities of Convolutional neural network with the self-attention mechanism of Transformers. By employing a Weighted Feature Fusion Network, we effectively integrate global and local information to enhance the performance of load forecasting. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model significantly outperforms existing models in predictive performance. The model presented in this study offers a new perspective on electric load forecasting and has the potential to become an effective tool for power system planning and scheduling. © 2024 IEEE.

Sequential diagnosis prediction (SDP) is a challenging task, aiming to predict patients' future diagnoses based on their historical medical records. While methods based on graph neural networks (GNNs) have proven successful for this task, they typically focus on modeling pairwise diseases using a global disease combination graph. However, these approaches neglect the fine-grained higher-order relations among persistent and emerging diseases within a single visit, which may contain crucial clues to predict the next diagnosis. Additionally, they fail to fully leverage patient-related clinical information present in electronic health records (EHRs). To address these challenges, this paper proposes a novel approach called the fusion of Dynamic Hypergraph and Clinical Event (DHCE) for sequential diagnosis prediction. The proposed method aims to exploit the fine-grained higher-order relations among diagnoses within a visit and leverage clinical event information from EHRs to improve the accuracy of predicting the next diagnosis. Specifically, DHCE categorizes diagnoses within a single visit in a fine-grained granularity into persistent and emerging categories based on a patient's historical diagnoses. It then constructs dynamic hypergraphs to capture higher-order disease relations within each visit. Next, we design a transition function to extract the transitional context from previous visits in order to generate the visit representation. Furthermore, to fully leverage patient-related clinical events in a visit, we utilize Bio-Clinical BERT to encode them and generate the clinical event representation for each visit. Finally, we combine the visit representation and event representation to generate a comprehensive patient representation, which is then used to predict the patient's next diagnosis. Experimental results on two benchmark datasets consistently demonstrate that DHCE outperforms state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Electronic voting plays an increasingly important role in both economic life and social activities. The electronic voting scheme based on one-time ring signature and blockchain solves the problems of voter anonymity, double voting, and public verification, while achieving the openness and transparency of voting. However, it is not applicable to the multi-round voting scenario where the voting group is relatively fixed, nor does it consider the need for anonymous accountability and differential privacy protection. In this paper, based on one-time ring signature, stealth address, blacklist and whitelist, an improved accountability anonymous voting scheme is proposed to enhance the practicability of the scheme. The security analysis shows that the scheme confirms to the basic security standards of an electronic voting system.

The integration of video information for the purpose of detecting students' behavior in the classroom, with the aim of enhancing teaching efficiency and maintaining a stable classroom environment, offers significant assistance. However, existing models usually struggle to achieve good accuracy due to the lack of datasets, dense targets, interclass occlusion, and other issues. To address these difficulties, the CD-YOLO classroom behavior detection algorithm is proposed in this paper. And the classroom behavior dataset (DSL-Dataset) is created. We propose a loss function named VAIoU, which can be combined with vector ratio to filter the prediction box. To further improve the detection accuracy of occluded targets, we propose an attention module CM module with command feature fusion. Moreover, in this paper, we improve the convolutional kernel to design a lightweight convolutional kernel FFconv. Experimental results on DSL-Dataset show that CD-YOLO outperforms existing one-stage detection models in terms of detection accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Over the past few years, "Pre-training + Fine-tuning"has been highly successful in Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks, but it has limitations in few-shot tasks and zero-shot tasks. Recently, "Prompt-based Tuning + Pretrained Language models (PLMs)"has achieved great success in few-shot stage and zero-shot stage, including few-shot text classification. Prompt-based tuning wraps suggestive characters and [MASK] tokens into a raw input sequence. Additionally, Prompt learning uses a verbalizer to map the semantic information of the [MASK] position to the final classification prediction. The verbalizer contains manual verbalizer and automatic verbalizer, etc. However, manual verbalizers are too dependent on human experience and external knowledge, while automatic verbalizers still face significant challenges. In this work, we introduce a novel approach for constructing a verbalizer termed as 'virtual class representation'. This method entails assigning a fixed-length sequence of digits to represent each label in the dataset. We train a small-scale randomly initialized embedding mechanism to achieve preliminary semantic information for each class when virtual class representation is introduced into the embedding mechanism. The semantic information of each category is then further extracted by a convolution operation, and the final model regression value is obtained by calculating the similarity between the last hidden state of PLM and the semantic vector of the class. Our extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method on few-shot text classification tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Label-specific representation learning (LSRL), i.e., constructing the representation with specific discriminative properties for each class label, is an effective strategy to improve the performance of multi-label learning. However, the generalization analysis of LSRL is still in its infancy. The existing theory bounds for multilabel learning, which preserve the coupling among different components, are invalid for LSRL. In an attempt to overcome this challenge and make up for the gap in the generalization theory of LSRL, we develop a novel vector-contraction inequality and derive the generalization bound for general function class of LSRL with a weaker dependency on the number of labels than the state of the art. In addition, we derive generalization bounds for typical LSRL methods, and these theoretical results reveal the impact of different label-specific representations on generalization analysis. The mild bounds without strong assumptions explain the good generalization ability of LSRL.

This paper introduces a system for the classification and decomposition of electrical loads, addressing the shortcomings of current non-intrusive load decomposition methods that are prone to errors. We propose a method that first classifies electrical loads and then performs decomposition, along with the corresponding system workflow. Initially, we collect household electricity consumption data using a proprietary load collection device developed by the company, constructing an electrical load dataset. Subsequently, we train classification and decomposition methods using this dataset, conducting comparative experiments with various methods to select the most effective one. Based on the trained electrical load classification and decomposition models, we develop an electrical load inference program. The key implementation lies in applying the electrical load classification and decomposition inference program to edge devices. Leveraging the cloud server hosting a backend web service for the mobile app, we interact with users through the app, achieving precise decomposition and monitoring of electrical loads. Integrating edge computing and cloud computing, coupled with a mobile app serving as the interaction platform, this paper presents a high-precision, simplified, and highly scalable solution for electrical load analysis and management. In experimental comparisons, we find that using the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) method from deep learning and the Sequence-to-Point Neural Network (Seq2point) method outperform other methods in classification and decomposition, significantly improving the accuracy of electrical load classification. Therefore, we select the GRU method and Seq2Point method as the core techniques for the electrical load classification and decomposition system.
