Existing indoor visible light positioning methods, such as those based on fingerprint database algorithms, are complex to construct and consume significant resources. In response to this issue, the text proposes an end-to-end indoor visible light positioning method that samples continuous signals at a small number of random coordinate positions in indoor environments. Through a deep learning method based on attention mechanism, a nonlinear mapping between the received signal and spatial position coordinates is constructed, and the time series properties in the received signal are encoded as a feature in the data. The method is further improved by combining residual networks to improve accuracy. Through simulation experiments, it has been verified that the deep learning based localization method described in this article can achieve sub meter level accuracy on small sample datasets, and it has been proven that time series features have a significant impact on localization accuracy in indoor visible light positioning algorithms based on deep learning. © 2024 IEEE.

Image-text matching is an important problem at the intersection of computer vision and natural language processing. It aims to establish the semantic link between image and text to achieve high-quality semantic alignment between the two modalities. However, the existing methods have the problem that the meaning expressed in the image or the complex narrative in the text cannot be fully understood due to insufficient feature extraction. Moreover, due to the essential modal differences between images and texts, how to effectively and accurately align the semantic contents in images and texts has become the key of research. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a method based on feature enhancement and relationship interaction. When processing images, the proposed method fuses labeled features, region features and location features to represent images. When processing text, a combination of Bi-GRU and self-attention mechanism is used to represent the text. In order to further align the semantic content in images and texts accurately, this paper improves two relational interaction mechanisms by identifying connection relationships and learning association relationships. Thus, the relation enhanced embedding is obtained. Finally, it calculated the similarity of the enhanced embedding to judge the matching degree of the image and text. Extensive experiments on the public datasets Flickr30K and MSCOCO demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 2024 IEEE.

Chinese short text similarity computation stands as a pivotal task within natural language processing, garnering significant attention. However, existing models grapple with limitations in handling intricate semantic relationships, such as the challenge of discerning subtle semantic nuances in text, inadequacies in effectively integrating diverse levels of semantic information, and the struggle to capture polysemous meanings accurately. In addressing these issues, this paper introduces an innovative Chinese short text similarity computation model, SMGC-SBERT. This model addresses shortcomings of the existing models by employing a multi-module fusion strategy, thereby enabling a more precise measurement of semantic similarity between texts. Primarily, the model incorporates SAT embedding to acquire phrase-level semantic information and leverages the MS-BERT model to encode text, improving the model's comprehension of textual polysemy and obtaining richer semantic representation. Then, the fusion of module features, including multi-branch convolutional networks and mix pooling, enables the extraction of textual features from varied levels, bolstering the model's representational capacity. Additionally, to further reduce overfitting risks while improving accuracy and other performance, a multi-layer feature adjustment network is utilized for short text similarity calculation. The final resultant experimental findings showcase the superiority of the SMGC-SBERT model over other neural network models, demonstrating significant advancements across both Chinese-SNLI and CCKS2018_Task3 Chinese short text datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Multivariate Time Series (MTS) forecasting has gained significant importance in diverse domains. Although Recurrent Neural Network (RNN)-based approaches have made notable advancements in MTS forecasting, they do not effectively tackle the challenges posed by noise and unordered data. Drawing inspiration from advancing the Transformer model, we introduce a transformer-based method called STFormer to address this predicament. The STFormer utilizes a two-stage Transformer to capture spatio-temporal relationships and tackle the issue of noise. Furthermore, the MTS incorporates adaptive spatio-temporal graph structures to tackle the issue of unordered data specifically. The Transformer incorporates graph embedding to combine spatial position information with long-term temporal connections. Experimental results based on typical finance and environment datasets demonstrate that STFormer surpasses alternative baseline forecasting models and achieves state-of-the-art results for single-step horizon and multistep horizon forecasting. © 2024 - IOS Press. With the rapid development of the new generation of information technologies, including cloud computing, 5G, and the Internet of Things, data outsourcing storage in the cloud has brought great convenience to data storage or access anytime and anywhere. Due to the separation of ownership and management of outsourced stored data, it faces data security risks, including data loss and personal privacy disclosure. The third-party audit of data operational behavior by logs is often employed to strengthen the security of outsourced data. However, some privacy breach incidents in recent years show that third parties who may leak information about data and users' identities are not always trustworthy. To achieve data security and privacy protection, an operation behavior auditing scheme for outsourced data is proposed with the blockchain rather than third parties. The data operation behavior audit is carried out from three dimensions: integrity of the operation behavior log, the credibility of the operation behavior information, and compliance of operation behavior. The security analysis and experiment results indicate that this scheme is secure and feasible. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-instance partial-label learning (MIPL) is a paradigm where each training example is encapsulated as a multi-instance bag associated with the candidate label set, which includes one true label and several false positives. Current MIPL algorithms typically assume that all instances are independent, thereby neglecting the dependencies and heterogeneity inherent in MIPL data. Moreover, these algorithms often prove to be excessively time-consuming when dealing with complex datasets, significantly limiting the practical application of MIPL. In this paper, we propose FASTMIPL, a framework that employs mixed-effects model to explicitly capture the dependencies and heterogeneity among instances and bags. FASTMIPL is able to learn from MIPL data both effectively and efficiently by utilizing the predefined dependencies modeling module and leveraging the posterior predictive probability disambiguation strategy. Experiments show that the performance of FASTMIPL is highly competitive to state-of-the-art methods, while significantly reducing computational time in benchmark and the real-world datasets. ENHANCING TWITTER BOT DETECTION VIA MULTIMODAL INVARIANT REPRESENTATIONS

Detecting Twitter Bots is crucial for maintaining the integrity of online discourse, safeguarding democratic processes, and preventing the spread of malicious propaganda. However, advanced Twitter Bots today often employ sophisticated feature manipulation and account farming techniques to blend seamlessly with genuine user interactions, posing significant challenges to existing detection models. In response to these challenges, this paper proposes a novel Twitter Bot Detection framework called BotSAI. This framework enhances the consistency of multimodal user features, accurately characterizing various modalities to distinguish between real users and bots. Specifically, the architecture integrates information from users, textual content, and heterogeneous network topologies, leveraging customized encoders to obtain comprehensive user feature representations. The heterogeneous network encoder efficiently aggregates information from neighboring nodes through oversampling techniques and local relationship transformers. Subsequently, a multi-channel representation mechanism maps user representations into invariant and specific subspaces, enhancing the feature vectors. Finally, a self-attention mechanism is introduced to integrate and refine the enhanced user representations, enabling efficient information interaction. Extensive experiments demonstrate that BotSAI outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods on two major Twitter Bot Detection benchmarks, exhibiting superior performance. Additionally, systematic experiments reveal the impact of different social relationships on detection accuracy, providing novel insights for the identification of social bots. © 2024, CC BY.

With the development of information and technology, especially with the boom in big data, healthcare support systems are becoming much better. However, an early diagnosis is not an easy task because it is hard to find out the hidden patterns in the disease. The symptoms of heart failure are usually non-specific. Therefore, this study aims to devise an early prediction model for incident heart disease based on machine learning algorithms. In this study, we compared several powerful models, including support vector machines (SVM), k-nearest neighbor (KNN), decision tree, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), random forest, gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT), categorical boosting (CatBoost), light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM), and choose two best models, namely, XGBoost and LSTM as our prediction model. The XGBoost algorithm was used to extract a subset from the data of patients, which will be fed into the LSTM-XGBoost model for training. An experiment comparison is conducted based on the data from Kaggle. Experimental results demonstrate that the LSTM-XGBoost model can operate effectively with a prediction accuracy achieving 0.9896 and a loss rate achieving 0.0105, which is much better than XGBoost or LSTM, respectively. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Active power dispatch of wind farms plays an important role in power grid scheduling. In this paper, a data-driven active power dispatch strategy for wind farms is proposed, which uses the key point of minimizing the standard deviation of wind turbines' output power series to reduce their fluctuations. First, to build the optimization problem, the historical active power output data of each wind turbine is collected from the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Then, the objective function is developed based on the idea of minimizing the standard deviation of the output power time series. Meanwhile, considering the constraints of wind turbines' output power and active power balance of the grid, the feasible domain of the cost function is constructed. Further, to solve the proposed nonlinear optimization problem with equality and inequality constraints, the trust region interior point method (TRIPM) is employed to explore optimal solution within the feasible domain. Finally, actual data collected from wind farms is used to test effectiveness of the designed approach and experimental results show that our method can achieve better output power smoothing performance than conventional Proportional Dispatch (PD) method. © 2024 IEEE.
