The rapid advancement of IoT, AI, and edge computing has led to a significant increase in consumer devices and computation tasks, with new electronics incorporating these technologies to enhance services like VR/AR and autonomous driving, requiring real-time processing for safety and efficiency. However, recent research has focused on optimizing IoT task scheduling and resource allocation through various methods, yet overlooks the dynamic nature of IoT environments, fails to adapt to changing device counts and movements, and often ignores task completion rate in favor of minimizing latency and energy cost. In this context, an adaptive task scheduling and resource allocation strategy is proposed for Edge IoT systems, based on the designed Graph-based Proximal Policy Optimization (GPPO) algorithm. Firstly, the GPPO algorithm enhances PPO for adaptive task scheduling in the fluctuating MEC scenarios, adjusting for the varying number of nearby edge servers. Secondly, it accounts for consumer mobility by opting for local task execution if the consumer risks moving outside the edge server's range, ensuring result reception. Thirdly, it prioritizes task completion rate to increase the number of tasks finished within their acceptable duration. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method outperforms traditional methods. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

VT-SGN:Spiking Graph Neural Network for Neuromorphic Visual-Tactile Fusion

Current issues with neuromorphic visual-tactile perception include limited training network representation and inadequate cross-modal fusion. To address these two issues, we proposed a dual network called visual-tactile spiking graph neural network (VT-SGN) that combines graph neural networks and spiking neural networks to jointly utilize the neuromorphic visual and tactile source data. First, the neuromorphic visual-tactile data were expanded spatiotemporally to create a taxel-based tactile graph in the spatial domain, enabling the complete exploitation of the irregular spatial structure properties of tactile information. Subsequently, a method for converting images into graph structures was proposed, allowing the vision to be trained alongside graph neural networks and extracting graph-level features from the vision for fusion with tactile data. Finally, the data were expanded into the time domain using a spiking neural network to train the model and propagate it backwards. This framework effectively utilizes the structural differences between sample instances in the spatial dimension to improve the representational power of spiking neurons, while preserving the biodynamic mechanism of the spiking neural network. Additionally, it effectively solves the morphological variance between the two perceptions and further uses complementary data between visual and tactile. To demonstrate that our approach can improve the learning of neuromorphic perceptual information, we conducted comprehensive comparative experiments on three datasets to validate the benefits of the proposed VT-SGN framework by comparing it with state-of-the-art studies. © 2008-2011 IEEE.

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology can significantly increase access volume and spectrum efficiency. The introduction of NOMA technology into the mobile communication system can significantly enhance communication performance. The power allocation technology can greatly improve the performance of NOMA systems and has become a research hotspot. However, many research schemes currently have many problems, such as poor system performance and inability to balance between user fairness and service quality. Therefore, this article studies the intelligent optimization for mobile NOMA network using improved Monarch Butterfly Optimization Algorithm(IMBO). First, an $\boldsymbol{N}-\mathbf{Nakagami}$ channel-based mobile cooperative NOMA multi-user network is established. Then, considering the non-ideal communication condition, namely imperfect channel state information (ICSI), the exact expressions of outage probability (OP) for the mobile cooperative NOMA multi-user communication system are derived, and the relation between user power allocation coefficient and the performance of OP is investigated. Finally, an optimization algorithm of power allocation based on the IMBO is put forward, which can get the optimal power allocation coefficient. Simulation results indicate that, compared to the monarch butterfly optimization algorithm(MBO), the artificial fish swarm algorithm(AFSA), and the firefly algorithm(FA), the IMBO is at least 30% more efficient, thereby enhancing the performance of the communication system.

Considering the high costs of satellite manufacturing and launch, as well as the complexity of in-orbit debugging, pre-launch emulation on the ground will significantly reduce the development costs of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks. LEO satellite network emulation faces challenges in emulating mega-scale constellations in a lightweight and scalable manner, as well as efficiently handling the frequent link on/off switching for both inter-satellite networks and terrestrial access networks. Existing simulation/emulation tools, such as NS-3, Mininet, QualNet, fall short in addressing these issues effectively. In this work, we propose a lightweight satellite emulation testbed based on Docker containers and the VLAN protocol. In the data plane, our testbed uses Docker containers to emulate satellites/terminals, and uses VETH-pairs and bridges to emulate inter-satellite networks and terrestrial access networks. Furthermore, these virtual network elements can horizontally scale across multiple servers for mega-scale constellation emulation. In the control plane, the real-time constellation topology changes are efficiently emulated through the configuration of VLAN segmentation according to satellite movement patterns. Evaluation shows the testbed's low resource occupancy and high efficiency, with 100 nodes consuming only 1000MB memory and 100 links switching in less than 2s.

Long-tail learning primarily focuses on mitigating the label distribution shift between longtailed training data and uniformly distributed test data. However, in real-world applications, we often encounter a more intricate challenge where the test label distribution is agnostic. To address this problem, we first theoretically establish the substantial potential for reducing the generalization error if we can precisely estimate the test label distribution. Motivated by the theoretical insight, we introduce a simple yet effective solution called label shift correction (LSC). LSC estimates the test label distribution within the proposed framework of generalized black box shift estimation, and adjusts the predictions from a pre-trained model to align with the test distribution. Theoretical analyses confirm that accurate estimation of test label distribution can effectively reduce the generalization error. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms previous state-of-the-art approaches, especially when confronted with non-uniform test label distribution. Notably, the proposed method is general and complements existing longtail learning approaches, consistently improving their performance. To address the problem that the lateral wind in atmospheric turbulence is the main factor affecting the laser transmission in the atmospheric channel, a method based on PIV particle image velocimetry is proposed to obtain the lateral wind in the laser transmission path. The theoretical calculation of the moving displacement of the spot image using the PIV particle image velocimetry technique is carried out, and the results show that the method can well reflect the influence mechanism of the lateral wind in the process of measuring the lateral wind, so that the change of the displacement vector can also be reflected while calculating the change of the lateral wind speed.1 © 2021 IEEE.

Despite the notable advancements of existing prompting methods, such as In-Context Learning and Chain-of-Thought for Large Language Models (LLMs), they still face challenges related to various biases. Traditional debiasing methods primarily focus on the model training stage, including approaches based on data augmentation and reweighting, yet they struggle with the complex biases inherent in LLMs. To address such limitations, the causal relationship behind the prompting methods is uncovered using a structural causal model, and a novel causal prompting method based on front-door adjustment is proposed to effectively mitigate LLMs biases. In specific, causal intervention is achieved by designing the prompts without accessing the parameters and logits of LLMs. The chain-of-thought generated by LLM is employed as the mediator variable and the causal effect between input prompts and output answers is calculated through front-door adjustment to mitigate model biases. Moreover, to accurately represent the chain-of-thoughts and estimate the causal effects, contrastive learning is used to fine-tune the encoder of chain-of-thought by aligning its space with that of the LLM. Experimental results show that the proposed causal prompting approach achieves excellent performance across seven natural language processing datasets on both open-source and closed-source LLMs. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***).
