The formal representation of topological relations plays a very important role in process of spatial query, spatial analysis and spatial reasoning. Most current models support a single representation of geometry and topology at a fixed resolution. While it often happens that different applications take into consideration spatial data/topological relationship, with the same 3D scene date, under different viewpoints, in different geometric forms and/or with different resolutions. In this case, a topology model for multiple topological representations is needed. In this paper, we propose a new approach based on combinatorial maps, which focus on both multiple topological representations under the situation of LOD and Feature semantic/spatial aggregation and the consistency of topology.

We propose a fast and simple application system of 3D model reconstruction. We acquire range images by using a combination of a regular camera and two types of depth sensors. The reconstruction of a 3D model consists of four key steps: (i) Initial alignment either feature tracking or the 4-points congruent sets algorithm is used to align surfaces captured at different frames. (ii)The iterative closest point (ICP) method is applied to further align the piecewise surfaces from the last step, (iii) The surfaces are merged into a whole 3D model by the volumetric method, (iv) In the refinement step, we fill holes and produce a complete 3D model that approximates the original model with robust repair of polygonal models. At last, we present the experimental results which show that the errors between our reconstructed model and the ground truth are less than 1%.

The 3D reconstruction based on the video image in real-time is an important problem, such as computer vision, computer graphics. The accuracy of the model is even the center issue of these fields. After considering the polyhedral visual hull (PVH) reconstruction method, this paper introduces a model optimized method based on the image feature points matching. In this paper, we present an algorithm that extracts the feature points from the public visible field of neighbor images, and finds the matched feature points by utilizing the epipolar relationships and the photo-consistency, and optimizes the original model by utilizing the matched feature points achieved and the original space location. The experimental results show that this method optimizes the original model efficiently and make the optimized model more accurate.

Mobile device is an important interactive platform. Due to the limitation of computation, memory, display area and energy, how to realize the efficient and real-time interaction of 3D models based on mobile devices is an important research topic. Considering features of mobile devices, this paper adopts remote rendering mode and point models, and then, proposes a transmission and rendering approach that could interact in real time. First, improved simplification algorithm based on MLS and display resolution of mobile devices is proposed. Then, a hierarchy selection of point models and a QoS transmission control strategy are given based on interest area of operator, interest degree of object in the virtual environment and rendering error. They can save the energy consumption. Finally, the rendering and interaction of point models are completed on mobile devices. The experiments show that our method is efficient.
