Synchronization decay of resting state EEG has shown that cognitive dysfunction in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) was relevant to a loss of functional connectivity in intermediate frequency bands. A new estimator analysis method called new S estimator (NSE) proposed recently by us quantifies synchronization between neuronal signals at multiple *** paper meant to explore the behavior of synchronization of multichannel EEG in MCI and healthy normal controls at rest, and preliminarily make clear the clinical significance of the NSE in MCI *** (EEG) were recorded from 10 MCI patients and 12 age-matched healthy normal controls (NC). NSE values were computed both across the all frequency band and separately in the delta, theta, alpha, beta (including beta1, beta2 and beta3), and gamma bands. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was used to assess the symptom severity of MCI patients and *** values in the alpha and beta1 bands were significantly lower in MCI patients than in NC. NSE values in the alpha and beta1 bands were positively correlated with the MoCA scores in all participants (MCI and NC). In MCI patients, NSE values in the alpha and beta1 bands were also positively correlated with MoCA *** results suggest that NSE values are a useful correlate of EEG synchronization in MCI patients.

Most of algorithms based on bit vector for mining frequent pattern always produce candidate itemsets and scan the same data repeatedly;this increases the running time and the space consumption. In this paper, an algorithm BVDAHL based on bit vector decomposition and hash linklist for mining frequent patterns on data streams which solves the above issues, is proposed. The itemsets (transactions) whose corresponding number of 1 is k, denoted as k-one itemsets (k-one transactions). The arrival transactions are converted into bit vectors, and permutations and combinations are used to decompose converted results, then the decomposed itemsets are stored in the hash linklist. In hash function, according to the position of 1 of bit vector to compute the address, if the transaction has same address and same content that already exists in data domain, then the value adds one in count domain, otherwise the pointer in pointer domain points to the next node directly, it is no need to deal with conflict. Afterwards the property of anti-monotonic will be used to prune the k+1-one transactions in bit vector table if there exists infrequent k-one itemsets that decomposed by such k+1-one transactions. Then the algorithm repeats the above processes until the transaction in bit vector table can not be decomposed. Finally we will receive the frequent itemsets by comparing the obtained value of count domain in hash linklist with minSup. Experiment results show that BVDAHL is very efficiency and scalable.

We present the design of time parallel trace-driven cache simulation for the purpose of evaluating different cache architectures. Due to the long simulation cycles, traditional sequential simulation methods are no longer practical. An obvious way to achieve fast parallel simulation is time parallel. It splits the whole trace into small slices which are assigned to parallel processors for concurrent simulation. In this paper, we introduce a novel time parallel multiconfiguration simulation on single pass method. It exploits time partitioning as the main sources of parallelism and takes the full advantage of the computational capability offered by the Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) on the GPU. Our experimental results demonstrate that the cache simulator based on GPU platform gains 1.91x performance improvement compared to traditional serial algorithm.

A hierarchical residual network with compact triplet-center loss for sketch recognition

With the widespread use of touch-screen devices, it is more and more convenient for people to draw sketches on screen. This results in the demand for automatically understanding the sketches. Thus, the sketch recognition task becomes more significant than before. To accomplish this task, it is necessary to solve the critical issue of improving the distinction of the sketch features. To this end, we have made efforts in three aspects. First, a novel multi-scale residual block is designed. Compared with the conventional basic residual block, it can better perceive multi-scale information and reduce the number of parameters during training. Second, a hierarchical residual structure is built by stacking multi-scale residual blocks in a specific way. In contrast with the single-level residual structure, the learned features from this structure are more sufficient. Last but not least, the compact triplet-center loss is proposed specifically for the sketch recognition task. It can solve the problem that the triplet-center loss does not fully consider too large intra-class space and too small inter-class space in sketch field. By studying the above modules, a hierarchical residual network as a whole is proposed for sketch recognition and evaluated on Tu-Berlin benchmark thoroughly. The experimental results show that the proposed network outperforms most of baseline methods and it is excellent among non-sequential models at present. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. Model checking is one of the most important technology for automatically verification. So this paper generally proposed a method of combining CCS and Z language, to perform model checking. It combines the advantage of current CCS and Z systems, where CCS is good at describing concurrent systems, also Z is a good tool for data structure. As a result, form the new system CCS-Z. Then we give the syntax and semantics of it, at last give the model checking *** advantage of this paper is combined data stucture on the famous system CCS, and increase the capacity of system description.

Occlusion avoidance approach based on depth image of visual object

Occlusion avoidance is a more challenging problem in visual field. An occlusion avoidance approach based on depth image of visual object is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the occlusion detection is implemented for the depth image of visual object in current view, and then the occlusion boundary and nether adjacent boundary are obtained to construct occlusion region. Secondly, the occlusion region is segmented into several sub-regions by connecting the corner of occlusion boundary with its nether adjacent boundary point, and the triangular mesh model of each sub-region is established. Thirdly, the candidate observation direction set is determined by utilizing the normal vector of each triangle in triangular mesh model. Finally, the next best view is confirmed based on the candidate observation direction set to realize the occlusion avoidance function. Compared with the existing methods, the proposed approach does not need the priori knowledge of visual object or limit the camera position on a fixed surface. Experimental results demonstrate its feasibility and effectiveness. © 2015 ICIC International.

The social networks with the complex user relations and huge amount of data and hidden information, bring new opportunities and challenges for the study of information diffusion and influence maximization. In recent years, there are more and more researches on the influence maximization of topic preference. However, most of the existing researches only take the topic as an attribute of the users, and the importance of the topic in network structure is not considered. In view of this situation, firstly, this paper constructed a new topic attention network model fusing the social relation and the topic preference. Secondly, based on connected degree of set pair and Markov random walk model, we propose the calculated method of the topic preference for users, and then mining the seed set with influence by the greedy strategy. Thirdly, we propose the calculated method of the activation probability of the user based on the user relation and the topic preference, and propose the influence maximization algorithm TAN-CELF in topic attention networks. Finally, on Dou-ban network dataset, from three metrics ISST, ISRT and ISRNT, compare with algorithm L-GAUP and CELF, the experimental results show that algorithm TAN-CELF that is proposed by this paper has a higher performance on influence scope. © 2017 Totem Publisher, Inc. Skin panel design for a morphing mechanism

A segmentation method is proposed to aid rigid skin panel design for an existing modular morphing wing mechanism. The method divides the surface of the modular morphing mechanism into panels through geometry discretization, and then the skin which is made up of these rigid panels will have better rigidity and it will morph more free without any gap. The method comprises three basic morphing types based on the motion of upper platform. Wherein, the mechanism side is firstly divided into a plurality of panels and each of them is approximated to flat, and then shape changes of one panel before and after morphing are analyzed. Therefore, panels can be designed as moveable and fixed patches to achieve seamless morphing. At last, computer simulation is set up to further verify the correctness of the method. © 2016 ICIC International.

Lettuce height is one of the important lettuce phenotypic parameters, plant height can not only reflect the basic growth of lettuce, but also provide data support for the monitoring and early warning of external environmental variables. Therefore, the real-time acquisition of lettuce plant height has certain significance. The traditional method of measuring the height of lettuce is to use an instrument for manual measurement, but this is greatly affected by human error. However, the automatic methods mainly rely on expensive sensors such as unmanned aerial vehicle LiDAR and binocular stereo cameras. Moreover, since the process of obtaining plant height may work with multiple sensors at the same time, its operation has a certain degree of complexity. At present, it is the most convenient and quickest ways to evaluate plant height information based on RGB images. However, these tasks usually require complex camera calibration operation or a reference object with a known height, which is somewhat restrictive. Therefore, we try to exploit deep neural networks to solve this problem, using its powerful ability to feature extraction and expression, without camera calibration and reference objects, directly obtain the height of lettuce © 2022, The Authors. Frequent closed itemsets mining using ITBitree

The set of frequent closed itemsets is much smaller than the one of all frequent itemsets. Meanwhile it retains the completeness. In this paper, we propose an ITBitree-based algorithm, called ITBitreeFCIM (ITBitree Frequent Closed Itemsets Miner), for mining the frequent closed itemsets directly. A novel structure termed ITBitree (Itemset Tidset Binary Tree) is defined to store the transaction and itemset information. Frequent closed itemsets are generated directly by searching the right nodes in each layer and the right nodes in their respective search space deeply from this tree using top-down strategy. For the items with same support in the adjacent layers or the items with the same Tids, we use item merging technique to prune the search space. The searched space is used to avoid the generation of duplicates and enormous closure checks. In the process we do not need to check whether a candidate itemset is closed, so we save a lot of time. The experiment proofs the efficiency of the proposed approach.
