In order to improve shortage of Lxical Binary Pattern(LBP) algorithm in the field of facial feature extraction,this paper uses Lxical Directional Pattern(LDP) algorithm to extract the facial features about age estimation and gender *** gradient information is more stable than gray information,LDP algorithm is not affected easily by *** preprocessing images,we use block strategy to represent facial features more *** then,we extract features of each block with LDP algorithm,storing the LDP histogram Finally,we obtain age and gender identification results by Support Vector Machine(SVM).Experimental results on FG-NET face database show that this method has a good effect on age estimation and gender classification.

In order to solve the robustness issues for single training sample face recognition under occlusion conditions, this paper presents a recognition method based on adaptive weighting and fuzzy fusion. In our method, the information entropy expansion mode is introduced in sub-mode method and via adaptively assigning the weights corresponding to each sub-model can reduce the impact of occluded region. In addition, through summing the similar blocks in face images can make up for the defect of the sub-model which ignores the integrity of face. Finally, the method based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is utilized for decision-level fusion to the outputs by these two ways of classification. Experimental results on AR face database show that this method has state-of-the-art classification accuracy and also robustness to occlusion.

The two 3-CRU TPMs have identical kinematics, but some differences exist in terms of the chain arrangement, one is in fully symmetrical chain arrangement, called symmetrical 3-CRU TPM, the other one is in asymmetrical chain arrangement, called asymmetrical 3-CRU TPM. This paper focuses on discussing the differences between the two 3-CRU TPMs in kinematics, workspace and performance. A new improved hybrid optimization algorithm - PGATS algorithm, which is based on toy off-lattice model, is presented for dealing with three-dimensional protein structure prediction problems. The algorithm combines the particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA), and tabu search (TS) algorithms. Otherwise, we also take some different improved strategies. The factor of stochastic disturbance is joined in the particle swarm optimization to improve the search ability; the operations of crossover and mutation that are in the genetic algorithm are changed to a kind of random liner method; at last tabu search algorithm is improved by appending a mutation operator. Through the combination of a variety of strategies and algorithms, the protein structure prediction (PSP) in a 3D off-lattice model is achieved. The PSP problem is an NP-hard problem, but the problem can be attributed to a global optimization problem of multi-extremum and multi-parameters. This is the theoretical principle of the hybrid optimization algorithm that is proposed in this paper. The algorithm combines local search and global search, which overcomes the shortcoming of a single algorithm, giving full play to the advantage of each algorithm. In the current universal standard sequences, Fibonacci sequences and real protein sequences are certified. Experiments show that the proposed new method outperforms single algorithms on the accuracy of calculating the protein sequence energy value, which is proved to be an effective way to predict the structure of proteins.

In this paper, a new compliant parallel mechanism driven by piezoelectric actuators is designed, which is a modified structure from our previous designed stage. In order to compensate the limited stroke of PZT, the secondary amplification mechanism was adopted in this design, and also the matrix method is utilized to calculate its stiffness and compliance for this compliant mechanism. In practical application, the accuracy of mechanism is an essential index that we wish to achieve, meanwhile the parasitic motion analysis, dynamic and static analysis are also presented in this paper. The method is validated by finite element analysis to demonstrate its effectiveness.
