This paper proposes a novel method for friction-induced chemical reaction machining of single-crystal 4H-SiC wafer using a pure iron. Material Removal Rate (MRR) and surface quality of single-crystal 4H-SiC were studied, and the results demonstrate that both high surface quality and MRR (Ra: 2.2 nm, MRR: 375 nm/min) were obtained. The mechanism of material removal during friction was investigated by examining the critical roles of friction speed. Solid-state chemical reaction between metal and SiC surfaces can be induced by friction, and the subsequent removal of reactants resulting in a near-damage-free machined surface. A removal mechanism model of friction was established, which reveals that both the rates of solid-state reaction and reactant removal significantly impact the final removal rate of friction. © 2023, The Authors. For modal analysis of longitudinally invariant optical devices, the compact-finite-difference time-domain is an efficient algorithm for alleviating the large amount of storage space and computing time under the 3D complex structure simulation. However, this algorithm needs to scale down the time step to mitigate the numerical dispersion errors while simulating optical waveguide working at high frequency. Here, a novel high-order symplectic compact FDTD scheme is proposed, which is attributed to the theory combination of the fast-spatial scheme and stable temporal scheme. The research results not only verify the effectiveness by numerical experiment on a planar dielectric waveguide with complex cross section, but also provide efficient theoretical guidance for the design and optimization of optical devices at the nanometer scale.

Facing the challenge of frequent changes on aircraft models，it is necessary to achieve rapid design for aircraft assembly tooling. Aircraft product assembly tooling design is a long-term and high-cost tasks. designers invest significant time and effort in tooling design，heavily relying on personal experience，with limited support and inheritance of tooling design knowledge. To address this issue，this study proposed an assembly tooling design knowledge recommendation approach based on knowledge graph and user behavior feedback. First，a knowledge document repository and a domain knowledge label network are constructed，forming a knowledge graph. Then，by constructing and activating a knowledge push scenario model，the priority of knowledge documents is computed based on their relevance between the knowledge push scenario and knowledge tags. Additionally，a knowledge push adjustment mechanism is proposed，and the priority of the knowledge documents will be adjusted based on user behaviors. Using aircraft wall panel tooling design as an example，this study validates the effectiveness of the user behavior-based parameter adjustment mechanism in knowledge recommendation. The example demonstrates that the accuracy of the proposed method in pushing the top 5 relevant knowledge documents is 0. 83. Results also show that tags with higher search frequency are ranked higher，and user ratings of"helpful"significantly increase the priority of recommended knowledge under the same recommendation frequency. Additionally，a prototype system for aircraft panel assembly tooling design knowledge push is developed on the CATIA platform，applying the method to facilitate designers’efficient access to relevant tooling knowledge. © 2025 Chinese Society of Astronautics. Human pose estimation in image is an important branch of computer vision and graphics research. In this paper, an improved modular convolution neural network is proposed to solve the problem of human pose estimation in static 2D images. A cascaded three-stage full convolutional network (FCN) can learn the non-linear mapping from image feature space to human pose space in an end-to-end way. In order to improve the accuracy of predicting joints, the method of multi-feature source fusion is adopted to improve the estimation process of the human body posture. The first two stages of the network focus on learning local image features and joints neighborhood pixel features, and these features are merged in the third stage of the network. Finally, the coordinates of human joints are obtained by regression of the merged features. In our experiments, using the strict PCP criteria on the full body pose dataset LSP, the average prediction accuracy of our method is 79.3%. In addition, using the PCKh standard on the upper body pose dataset FLIC, our method achieves an average prediction accuracy of 93% without additional training. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

According to the idea of "Emerging Engineering Education" talent training model of Ministry of Education, students should be trained to have "metaphysical" concept, connection, imagination, macro thinking. Project-driven experiment teaching focuses on a project, and the goal is the completion of the project; the student is the center of teaching activities, which is supported by the inquiry process. This study analyzes the significance of the project-driven method in experimental teaching. This paper describes the implementation process of experimental teaching in the field of energy and power engineering in terms of project design, teaching system construction and so on under the project-driven method. By analyzing the results of a questionnaire survey distributed to students of energy and power in the College of Mechanical Engineering at the Tianjin University of Technology, it is found that the students are satisfied with the effects of project-driven experimental teaching, and the use of experimental teaching has greatly aroused the students' enthusiasm for learning. The ability of the students to engage in autonomous learning, engineering practice and innovation has been greatly improved, and a good teaching effect has been achieved.

A Cost-Driven Fuzzy Scheduling Strategy for intelligent Workflow Decision Making Systems in Uncertain Edge-Cloud Environments

Workflow decision making is critical to performing many practical workflow applications. Scheduling in edge-cloud environments can address the high complexity problem of workflow applications, while decreasing the data transmission delay between the cloud and end devices. However, because of the heterogeneous resources in edge-cloud environments and the complicated data dependencies among the tasks in a workflow, significant challenges for workflow scheduling remain, including the selection of an optimal tasks-servers solution from the possible numerous combinations. The existing studies have been mainly done subject to rigorous conditions without fluctuations, ignoring the fact that workflow scheduling is typically present in uncertain environments. In this study, we focus on reducing the execution cost of workflow applications mainly caused by task computation and data transmission, while satisfying the workflow deadline in uncertain edge-cloud environments. The Triangular Fuzzy Numbers (TFNs) are adopted to represent the task processing time and data transferring time. A cost-driven fuzzy scheduling strategy based on an Adaptive Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization (ADPSO) algorithm is proposed, which employs the operators of Genetic Algorithm (GA). This strategy introduces the randomly two-point crossover operator, neighborhood mutation operator, and adaptive multipoint mutation operator of GA to effectively avoid converging on local optima. The experimental results show that our strategy can effectively reduce the workflow execution cost in uncertain edge-cloud environments, compared with other benchmark solutions. Despite remarkable achievements in neural network applications using spin–orbit torque (SOT) devices, current research predominantly focuses on unimodal classification tasks, while cross-modal learning tasks often suffer from suboptimal generation quality. To address this limitation, we employ generative adversarial networks (GANs) based on CoPt-SOT to achieve cross-modal learning and generation from speech to handwritten digit images. Initially, we explore the field-free switching characteristics of single-layer CoPt devices, developing spin-based implementations of Scaled Rectified Linear Unit (SReLu), Sigmoid, and Tanh neuronal functions. Simultaneously, we leverage the nonvolatile multistate characteristics of CoPt devices to realize excitatory-inhibitory synaptic plasticity. Subsequently, for the first time, we construct half-spin and full-spin GAN networks using these spin-based neurons and synapses, enabling cross-modal learning and generation between speech and image domains. Finally, we evaluate the performance of these networks through handwritten digit recognition tasks, achieving impressive recognition accuracies of 93.78 % and 88.61 % for half-spin and full-spin implementations, respectively. Notably, this work overcomes the existing bottleneck in SOT device applications, which have been largely confined to unimodal classification tasks, and demonstrates significant potential for expanding the scope of SOT-based technologies.

In recent years, Text-To-Speech (TTS) technology has developed rapidly. People have also been paying more attention to how to narrow the gap between synthetic speech and real speech, hoping that synthesized speech can be integrated with real rhythm. A rhythmic feature embedding method for Text-To-Speech was proposed in this thesis based on Tacotron2 model, which has arisen in the field of TTS in recent years. Firstly, rhythmic feature extraction through World vocoder can reduce redundant information in rhythmic features. Then, rhythmic feature fusion based on Variational Auto-Encoder (VAE) network can enhance rhythmic information. Experiments are carried out on the data set LJSpeech-1.0, and then subjective evaluation and objective evaluation are carried out on the synthesized speech respectively. Compared with the comparative literature, the subjective blind hearing test (ABX) score increased by 25%. At that same time, the objective Mel Cepstral Distortion value (MCD) declined to 12.77.

The brain-computer interface (BCI) plays an important role in assisting the disabled in life support and entertainment. In this study, a wireless retrieval robot system for steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) based BCI system was proposed. In order to improve the recognition accuracy and system stability of BCI system for subjects' instructions, in this study, offline and online experiments are used to study and solve the performance parameters, obstacle avoidance and retrieval performance of BCI respectively. In the offline experiment, 5 types of SSVEP data of 4 subjects were used. Based on CCA algorithm, the multi-channel fusion recognition accuracy, time window length (TWL), command activation margin and other aspects are studied. The optimal experimental parameters are determined. Online experiments are based on the optimal test parameters of offline experiments, 8 subjects were used to study the performance of obstacle avoidance and retrieval. The online experiments achieved an average accuracy of 87.89 ± 6.62% with an ITR of 23.6 ± 4.76 bit/min. Furthermore, the rate of success in grasping three kinds of different difficulty preset targets was 61.38%.
