This paper proposes a robust iterative learning control method for the refining furnace alloy weighing process to solve the problem of the poor control accuracy and stability caused by the changing of alloy properties and the frequency of the vibration feeder. First, a two dimensional（2D） weighing model was established based on the analysis of the dynamic characteristics of alloy weighing process. Second, a control scheme is proposed for the 2D model of alloy weighing ***, a robust iterative learning controller is developed and a stability condition of the 2D system is derived through linear matrix inequality（LMI） obtained by a 2D Lyapunov-Krasovskii function. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed method can sufficiently improve the control precision of the alloy weighing process.

The fixture is an important equipment, and is widely used in the auto-body panels to be assembled and welded. However, most fixtures, which installed on the production lines, are special to make the production cost higher and the production efficiency lower. Therefore, the reconfigurability of the fixture becomes a key factor that effects the production efficiency of automobiles. To handle the above problems, the new reconfigurable fixture robot is proposed in this paper, which can meet the handing, assembling and welding requirements of different automobile's sheet parts on the automobile production lines. First, the three-dimensional model and the kinematic equations of the proposed reconfigurable fixture robot are established. Then, the working space of the reconfigurable fixture robot is also obtained. Finally, the modal analysis of the reconfigurable fixture robot is performed to determine the cause of resonances. Reconfigurable fixture robots are capable of gripping the auto-body panels with the different radii of curvature, which can also meet the work scopes on the production lines.

The convolutional neural network(CNN) has received an excellent performance in the recent tasks of image retrieval and image classification. Besides, some local coding methods have been focused on because of their outstanding local description. In this paper, we present a novel method for palmprint recognition, which combines CNN and local coding techniques. We conduct feature extraction on palmprint images using the pre-trained networks and obtain the local convolutional features. Then three different local coding methods are adopted to code the features from CNN, including Bag of Visual Word(BoVW), Locality-constrained Linear Coding(LLC) and Vector of Locally Aggregated Descriptors (VLAD). The features extracted from CNN have better representation. Meanwhile, the local coding makes local features more important. Hence the combination of them can get the anticipated better results. The proposed method is extensively evaluated on the PolyU palmprint database and PolyU multispectral palmprint database, illuminating the remarkable performance on palmprint recognition. © 2017 IEEE.

We have analyzed the stability of interactional genetic regulatory networks with reaction-diffusion terms under Dirichlet boundary conditions in this article. Corresponding to interaction between unstable genetic regulatory networks and stable genetic regulatory networks, the model is given, and a stability criterion is proposed through construction of appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions and linear matrix inequalities (LMI). By means of a numerical simulation, we have proved the effectiveness and correctness of the theorem, and we analyzed the factors that influence the stability for interactional genetic regulatory networks. © 2017, The Author(s).

Solving probability reasoning based on DNA strand displacement and probability modules

In computation biology, DNA strand displacement technology is used to simulate the computation process and has shown strong computing ability. Most researchers use it to solve logic problems, but it is only rarely used in probabilistic reasoning. To process probabilistic reasoning, a conditional probability derivation model and total probability model based on DNA strand displacement were established in this paper. The models were assessed through the game "read your mind." It has been shown to enable the application of probabilistic reasoning in genetic diagnosis.

This paper presents details of our winning solutions to the task IV of NIPS 2017 Competition Track entitled Classifying Clinically Actionable Genetic Mutations. The machine learning task aims to classify genetic mutations based on text evidence from clinical literature with promising performance. We develop a novel multi-view machine learning framework with ensemble classification models to solve the problem. During the Challenge, feature combinations derived from three views including document view, entity text view, and entity name view, which complements each other, are comprehensively explored. As the final solution, we submitted an ensemble of nine basic gradient boosting models which shows the best performance in the evaluation. The approach scores 0.5506 and 0.6694 in terms of logarithmic loss on a fixed split in stage-1 testing phase and 5-fold cross validation respectively, which also makes us ranked as a top-1 team1 out of more than 1300 solutions in NIPS 2017 Competition Track IV. DNA codes have a significant effect on the efficiency of DNA computing and other applications. designing DNA codes is to obtain a certain sets of DNA codes with satisfying certain combinatorial constraints. Most works focus on algorithmic design for DNA codes. In this paper, Simulated Annealing and Clique Search are modified and combined into an iterated hybrid search to improve the lower bound for DNA codes set. Over 160 instances are considered, and the iterated hybrid search method is able to yield improvements for some lower bounds with n ≤ 16. Comparing with previous works, the proposed algorithm is more efficient for constructing DNA codes set.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has been widely used in clinical application and pathology research by helping doctors make more accurate diagnoses. On the other hand, accurate diagnosis by MRI remains a great challenge as images obtained via present MRI techniques usually have low resolutions. Improving MRI image quality and resolution thus becomes a critically important task. This paper presents an innovative Coupled-Projection Residual Network (CPRN) for MRI super-resolution. The CPRN consists of two complementary sub-networks: a shallow network and a deep network that keep the content consistency while learning high frequency differences between low-resolution and high-resolution images. The shallow sub-network employs coupled-projection for better retaining the MRI image details, where a novel feedback mechanism is introduced to guide the reconstruction of high-resolution images. The deep sub-network learns from the residuals of the high-frequency image information, where multiple residual blocks are cascaded to magnify the MRI images at the last network layer. Finally, the features from the shallow and deep sub-networks are fused for the reconstruction of high-resolution MRI images. For effective fusion of features from the deep and shallow sub-networks, a step-wise connection (CPRN S) is designed as inspired by the human cognitive processes (from simple to complex). Experiments over three public MRI datasets show that our proposed CPRN achieves superior MRI super-resolution performance as compared with the state-of-the-art. In this paper, a novel over constrained 2-RRU&RSR parallel manipulator is proposed and analysed. This mechanism is composed of a moving platform and a base, which connected by two identical RRU limbs and one RSR limb. Here, R stand for the revolute, U and S represent universal and spherical joints respectively. Three revolute joints, fixed on the base, are set to be actively actuated. The moving platform of the structure can realize two rotational and one translational freedoms. The design process and kinematic performances are studied in this paper. Firstly, the configuration design and structure characteristics of the mechanism are expounded. Secondly, the number and the properties of degrees of freedom (DOF) of the mechanism are analysed using screw theory. Thirdly, the kinematic problems, including the inverse analyses and the forward position analyses, are solved analytically. Then, the performance of the mechanism, such as reachable workspace, transmission capability, are analysed. Finally, some numerical examples and conclusions of the mechanism are pointed out, and the potential applications of the mechanism are suggested.

In this paper, a nonlinear system with time delay mode for DNA strand displacement based on toehold exchange firstly is proposed. The boundedness of all the state variables of the DNA strand displacement system is proved. After that, local stability analysis is performed around the positive equilibrium point to obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for local stability, which depend on the coefficients of the characteristic equation corresponding to linearization of the system. In addition, the existence of the Hopf bifurcation is analyzed, which shows that the time delay parameter will guarantee that the system is stable within a certain range. However, Hopf bifurcation and chaos occur when the time delay parameter increases continuously and even exceeds the critical value. At last, numerical simulations have verified the correctness and validity of the DNA strand displacement studies.
