In the urban water supply system, the location and quantity of the pressure monitoring nodes play a significant role for the monitoring effect and the response warning of the pipe burst. However, most installation of pressure monitoring nodes are based on human experience, which cannot totally present the whole water supply system condition. In view of the unreasonable layout of pressure monitoring nodes, this paper presents a solution Integrating sensitivity analysis, genetic algorithm, hydraulic model calculation and pipe network topology. Then optimize the number of pressure monitoring nodes by considering the amount of water covered and the number of associated nodes. This solution offers a relatively accurate and reasonable way to optimize the layout of pressure monitoring nodes in large-scale site selection, presenting better comprehensive effect compared with previous layout. To a certain extent, this optimized layout of pressure monitoring nodes reduce the impact of human factors and improve the monitoring of water supply network operation results.

A Command filtered backstepping control augmented with disturbance observer(CFBC+DO) is presented to deal with the problem of robust trajectory tracking for unmanned helicopters. The main work relies on the way to reduce the control calculation works and compensate the disturbances acting on the helicopter, which are the main reason of causing the tracking errors. Firstly, a nonlinear DO is presented to estimate the lumped disturbances which are composed of external disturbances and neglected model uncertainties. Then a CFBC is designed for the helicopter's trajectory tracking. Since the CFBC uses a command filter to calculate the derivatives of the virtual control signal, instead of using the analytical differentiation, it significantly simplifies the backstepping implementation. Furthermore, by integrating the estimated disturbances into CFBC, the global exponential stability of the compensated tracking errors are proved by using Lyapunov theory. At last, simulation results illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
