This study aims to deeply explore the impact of mobile edge computing based on extended reality technology on the multi-person linkage of the Zhijiang Peace Culture Memorial Hall under the immersive experience. In the part of research background and significance, it discusses the rise of the application of XR technology in the field of culture and education, emphasizing the importance of education on the history of revolution and its value in the social sense. Then, it expounds the core topic of this research aimed at integrating XR technology with education on the history of revolution, and presenting visitors with more realistic and immersive historical scenes by creating an immersive experience of multi-person linkage. The use of these technologies enables visitors to transcend time and space barriers, directly participate in historical events, and deeply appreciate the intrinsic value of red culture. In order to achieve multi-person linkage, this study adopts mobile edge computing technology to ensure that multiple visitors can realize real-time interaction in the virtual scene and jointly build a collective experience of the Metaverse. This research has achieved positive results in the fields of XR technology application, education on the history of revolution, and mobile edge computing. It provides a useful reference for the modernization and upgrading of the Zhijiang Peace Culture Memorial Hall, and also provides a new paradigm for the cultural promotion of multi-person linkage experience in Metaverse. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT have exhibited remarkable performance in generating human-like texts. However, machine-generated texts (MGTs) may carry critical risks, such as plagiarism issues, misleading information, or hallucination issues. Therefore, it is very urgent and important to detect MGTs in many situations. Unfortunately, it is challenging to distinguish MGTs and human-written texts because the distributional discrepancy between them is often very subtle due to the remarkable performance of LLMs. In this paper, we seek to exploit maximum mean discrepancy (MMD) to address this issue in the sense that MMD can well identify distributional discrepancies. However, directly training a detector with MMD using diverse MGTs will incur a significantly increased variance of MMD since MGTs may contain multiple text populations due to various LLMs. This will severely impair MMD's ability to measure the difference between two samples. To tackle this, we propose a novel multi-population aware optimization method for MMD called MMD-MP, which can avoid variance increases and thus improve the stability to measure the distributional discrepancy. Relying on MMD-MP, we develop two methods for paragraph-based and sentence-based detection, respectively. Extensive experiments on various LLMs, e.g., GPT2 and ChatGPT, show superior detection performance of our MMD-MP. Gland instance segmentation is an essential but challenging task in the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma. The existing models usually achieve gland instance segmentation through multi-task learning and boundary loss constraint. However, how to deal with the problems of gland adhesion and inaccurate boundary in segmenting the complex samples remains a challenge. In this work, we propose a novel geometric feature named displacement field (DF), which can represent the geometric information such as shape, size, and orientation of the glands. Based on the explicit constraint of DF, a displacement-field assisted graph energy transmitter (DFGET) framework is proposed for solving the above problems. Using such graph framework, the gland semantic segmentation map and the displacement field of the graph nodes are estimated with two graph network branches. With the constraint of DF, a graph cluster module is presented to improve the intra-class feature consistency and inter-class feature discrepancy, as well as to separate the adherent glands. Extensive comparison and ablation experiments on the GlaS dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the displacement field and the superiority of DFGET. Compared to the best comparative model, DFGET increases the object-Dice and object-F1 score by 2.27% and 3.11% respectively, while decreases the object-HD by 15.58, achieving state-of-the-art performance, which indicates that DFGET can serve as an auxiliary tool for the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma. © 2024 IEEE.

In many 3D reconstruction, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), AR, and VR systems, the camera focal length constantly changes slightly due to loose hardware, causing their performances to deteriorate. To address this problem, we propose a novel camera self-calibration method that incorporates clustering prior and nonlinear optimization. By leveraging the Kruppa equation, we roughly estimate multiple analytical solutions for the camera focal length from an image sequence. Then, robust clustering based on the Gaussian mixture model is introduced to obtain an initial camera focal length value. Finally, a nonlinear cost function is proposed to refine the initial camera focal length value. Extensive experimental results on simulation and real data demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, exhibiting good robustness and high accuracy. Recently, diffusion-based deep generative models (e.g., Stable Diffusion) have shown impressive results in text-to-image synthesis. However, current text-to-image models often require multiple passes of prompt engineering by humans in order to produce satisfactory results for real-world applications. We propose BeautifulPrompt, a deep generative model to produce high-quality prompts from very simple raw descriptions, which enables diffusion-based models to generate more beautiful images. In our work, we first fine-tuned the BeautifulPrompt model over low-quality and high-quality collecting prompt pairs. Then, to ensure that our generated prompts can generate more beautiful images, we further propose a Reinforcement Learning with Visual AI Feedback technique to fine-tune our model to maximize the reward values of the generated prompts, where the reward values are calculated based on the PickScore and the Aesthetic Scores. Our results demonstrate that learning from visual AI feedback promises the potential to improve the quality of generated prompts and images significantly. We further showcase the integration of BeautifulPrompt to a cloud-native AI platform to provide better text-to-image generation service in the cloud. © 2023 Association for Computational Linguistics.

Dynamic graphs (DG) represent evolving interactions between entities in various real-world scenarios. Many existing DG representation learning models employ a combination of graph convolutional networks and sequence neural networks to capture spatial-temporal dependencies. However, this hybrid approach often fails to effectively capture the spatial-temporal continuity inherent in DGs. In this paper, we propose a novel approach called the Tensor Graph Convolutional Network (TGCN) to learn DG representations within a unified convolution framework based on tensor products. Our approach is founded on two key principles: (a) representing DG information in tensor form, and (b) leveraging tensor product operations to design a graph convolutional network that simultaneously models spatial and temporal features. Experimental results on three real-world DG datasets demonstrate that our proposed model achieves state-of-the-art performance. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, there has been a tremendous interest in military individual radio in wireless communication. To obtain sufficient operating distance and long standby time, the output power and efficiency of power amplifiers have become the research focus by some of the research teams. GaN has higher electron mobility and forbidden bandwidth than other materials. Nowadays, GaN has become the mainstream key technology for radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers in 5G communication systems. In this work, a 500MHz~2500MHz GaN-based HEMT wideband cascaded power amplifier was designed. The output power of the driver amplifier is 36.6dBm ± 0.5dB, the input return loss is 20%, the DC power consumption is 10 dB, input voltage standing wave ratio © 2024 IEEE.

Weld seam grinding is a crucial process for welding cast products. Not only are the polished welds more attractive and durable, but they also have superior stress effects. However, the workplace is harsh and can significantly impact health. The first task for automated weld grinding is weld detection. This paper, a pyramid feature fusion network (YOLOv5-BiCA) learning model with embedded coordinate attention as a weighting condition that fully utilizes the shallow and deep network information. An online data augmentation strategy employing Mosaic+Mixup is proposed to address the problem of insufficient sample size. We use Focal Loss to enhance the classification function and increase the positive influence of positive samples on the loss function during the training process to address the problem of an imbalance between positive and negative sample. Our proposed YOLOv5-BiCA performs better in weld detection, mAP improves by 3.5%, and recall improves by 7.97%, according to experimental results based on homegrown datasets. © 2023 ACM.

In the image restoration task, how to make full use of spatial and channel feature information to improve the reconstruction quality of the model without significantly increasing the computational complexity is an important research issue. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a CS module (Channel Compression and Split-Attention) specifically for optimizing image denoising tasks. The module first compresses the features through a preliminary convolution operation, then introduces the split attention convolution mechanism to split the features by channel and dynamically weight them, thereby enhancing the model's adaptive attention to different feature channels and improving feature expression capabilities. Through experiments on multiple image denoising datasets, the results show that the CS module significantly improves the image reconstruction quality, especially in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). At the same time, the introduction of the CS module does not lead to a significant increase in computational complexity, maintaining a high computational efficiency, which verifies the practicality and superiority of the module in image denoising tasks. © 2024 IEEE.
