Public bicycle sharing services are becoming popular over the past decade. The behavior of using public bicycle system(PBS) produces numerous hire records involving citizens' movement. This paper presents a visual analytics system-Touching PBSData, to help both traffic administrators and ordinary citizens visually explore and understand PBS data on multi-touch devices. Tasks and design principles are put forward firstly. Four views are designed to show different aspects of the dataset, including the geographical distribution, the spatio-temporal pattern and personal relevant information. In order to enhance the flexibility and usability of system, the organization mode of views and rich user interaction suitable for multi-touch device are further studied. By adopting real PBS dataset, the results of case studies certify that our method is able to help analyzers to find stations' main function and citizens' travel habits. Moreover, the feedback from the participants with various backgrounds is very affirmative through the user study.

In this work, we calculate the CP-averaged branching ratios and direct CP-violating asymmetries of the quasi-two-body decays B(s) → P'(1450), Pp'(1700) → Pππ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization approach, where P is a light pseudoscalar meson K, π, n, and n'. The considered decay modes are studied in the quasi-two-body framework by parametrizing the two-pion distribution amplitude P ππ. The P-wave timelike form factor Fπ in the resonant regions associated with the pp'(1450) and p'(1700) is estimated based on available experimental data. The PQCD predictions for the CP-averaged branching ratios of the decays B(s) → Pp'(1450) pp'(1700) → Pππ are in the order of 10-7-10-9. The branching ratios of the two-body decays B(s) → Pp'(1450), Pp'(1700) are extracted from the corresponding quasi-twobody decay modes. The whole pattern of the squared pion form factor |Fπ|2 measured by BABAR Collaboration could also be understood based on our studies. The PQCD predictions in this work will be tested by the precise data from the LHCb and the future Belle II experiments. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Face photo-sketch synthesis aims at generating a facial sketch/photo conditioned on a given photo/sketch. It is of wide applications including digital entertainment and law enforcement. Precisely depicting face photos/sketches remains challenging due to the restrictions on structural realism and textural consistency. While existing methods achieve compelling results, they mostly yield blurred effects and great deformation over various facial components, leading to the unrealistic feeling of synthesized images. To tackle this challenge, in this work, we propose to use the facial composition information to help the synthesis of face sketch/photo. Specially, we propose a novel composition-aided generative adversarial network (CA-GAN) for face photo-sketch synthesis. In CA-GAN, we utilize paired inputs including a face photo/sketch and the corresponding pixel-wise face labels for generating a sketch/photo. In addition, to focus training on hard-generated components and delicate facial structures, we propose a compositional reconstruction loss. Finally, we use stacked CA-GANs (SCA-GAN) to further rectify defects and add compelling details. Experimental results show that our method is capable of generating both visually comfortable and identity-preserving face sketches/photos over a wide range of challenging data. Our method achieves the state-of-the-art quality, reducing best previous Fréchet Inception distance (FID) by a large margin. In this paper, we propose a general framework for constructing IGA-suitable planar B-spline parameterizations from given complex CAD boundaries consisting of a set of B-spline curves. Instead of forming the computational domain by a simple boundary, planar domains with high genus and more complex boundary curves are considered. Firstly, some pre-processing operations including Bézier extraction and subdivision are performed on each boundary curve in order to generate a high-quality planar parameterization;then a robust planar domain partition framework is proposed to construct high-quality patch-meshing results with few singularities from the discrete boundary formed by connecting the end points of the resulting boundary segments. After the topology information generation of quadrilateral decomposition, the optimal placement of interior Bézier curves corresponding to the interior edges of the quadrangulation is constructed by a global optimization method to achieve a patch-partition with high quality. Finally, after the imposition of C1/G1-continuity constraints on the interface of neighboring Bézier patches with respect to each quad in the quadrangulation, the high-quality Bézier patch parameterization is obtained by a C1constrained local optimization method to achieve uniform and orthogonal iso-parametric structures while keeping the continuity conditions between patches. The efficiency and robustness of the proposed method are demonstrated by several examples which are compared to results obtained by the skeleton-based parameterization approach. A new generation memory, Non-Volatile Memory (NVM), such as Phase-Change Memory (PCM), has been adopted together with DRAM in the main memory to form the hybrid main memory for low energy consumption and high capacity. The biggest challenge of hybrid memory is how to decrease the average memory access cost for the higher cost of NVM's read/write operation. Currently, most researches are based on migration. However, the page migration itself is a high cost operation. And the migration based policy produces many migration operations, which induces high cost in memory access. Therefore, in order to decrease the cost, we present a virtual page behavior based page management policy (VBPM) in this paper. According to the virtual pages' behavior, we allocate virtual pages into DRAM or PCM physical pages correspondingly. The whole process is migration independent. The experimental results show our VBPM decreases the average memory access time by 24%, moreover, VBPM improves real-time performance in critical path. © 2016 IEEE.

Many migration strategies have been proposed forPrisoner's Dilemma game on square lattice, such as randommigration, success-driven migration and adaptive migration. Inthis paper, we introduce three novel migration strategies: failure driven migration, hate-driven migration and global-scope migration. Based on the length of migration, individual with one of the first two strategies decides when and where to move into empty nearby places based on its performance in current site, while individual with a global-scope migration can move to anywhere. Then we compare them with the cases of no migration, random migration and success-driven migration. The simulations show that the failure-driven migration has the best performance in most circumstances. While defectors dominate in success-driven migration cases.

A Grand-canonical Monte-Carlo simulation method extended to simulate a mixture of salts is presented. Due to charge neutrality requirement of electrolyte solutions, ions must be added to or removed from the system in groups. This leads to some complications compared to regular Grand Canonical simulation. Here, a recipe for simulation of electrolyte solution of salt mixture is presented. It is then implemented to simulate solution of 1:1, 2:1 and 2:2 salts or their mixtures at different concentrations using the primitive ion model. The osmotic pressures of the electrolyte solutions are calculated and shown to depend linearly on the salt concentrations within the concentration range simulated. We also show that at the same concentration of divalent anions, the presence of divalent cations make it easier to insert monovalent cations into the system. This can explain some quantitative differences observed in experiments of the MgCl2 salt mixture and MgSO4 salt mixture. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this work, we calculate the CP-averaged branching ratios and the direct CP-violating asymmetries of the quasi-two-body decays B(s)→P(ρ→)ππ by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach (here P stands for a light pseudoscalar meson π, K, η or η′). The vector current timelike form factor Fπ, which contains the final-state interactions between the pion pair in the resonant region associated with the P-wave states ρ(770) along with the two-pion distribution amplitudes, is employed to describe the interactions between the ρ and the pion pair under the hypothesis of the conserved vector current. We found that (a) the PQCD predictions for the branching ratios and the direct CP-violating asymmetries for most considered B(s)→P(ρ→)ππ decays agree with currently available data within errors, (b) for B(B→π0ρ0→π0(π+π−), the PQCD prediction is much smaller than the measured one, and (c) for the B+→π+(ρ0→)π+π− decay mode, there is a negative CP asymmetry (−27.5−3.7+3.0)%, which agrees with other theoretical predictions but is different in sign from those reported by the BABAR and LHCb Collaborations.
