In this paper,we focus on the tracking performance(TP) limitations of networked control systems(NCS s).The control system considered is a multi-input and multi-output(MIMO) discrete-time network control system with time delay,channel noise,packet dropouts,and logarithmic quantization communication *** modeling the channel,we assumed the channel noise to be additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) and used a binary random process to model packet dropouts and a logarithmic quantizer to model the quantization *** explicit expression of the TP limitations of NCSs utilizing the two-degree-of-freedom(TDOF) controller is then derived using the frequency-domain approach,coprime decomposition,and Youla parameterization *** results show that the essential characteristics of the plant(locations and directions of nonminimum phase zeros and unstable poles) and network constraints(time delay,packet dropouts,quantization,and noise power spectral density) are closely related to the TP limitations.

Modeling route representation aims to obtain contextual representations of an entire route for various traffic-related tasks. In reality, spatial-temporal data often exhibits multi-scale characteristics, which are utilized by many studies to enhance their performance. However, there is still a lack of in-depth research on how to effectively incorporate the multi-scale spatial-temporal information into transformer structure to adequately model route representation. In this paper, we propose a novel hierarchical route representation framework called RouteMT, which effectively captures multi-scale spatial-temporal characteristics of routes and leverages a mixed-scale transformer architecture to fuse intra and interroute features. Experiments on real data confirm RouteMT’s superior performance and versatility.

The emergence of SARS-Co V-2 variant of concern omicron BA.2 led to high infection incidence rates as well as reduced severity of COVID-19 during the Shanghai Spring epidemic of 2022 [1]. We assessed the role of viral pathogenicity and the effectiveness of inactivated vaccines in a retrospective observational study including 10 258 confirmed COVID-19cases identified between April and June of 2022, from four COVID-19 designated hospitals located in two areas of Shanghai, namely the West Bund and the East Bund, where the populations’ demographic characteristics varied significantly (Table S1, Fig. S1).

Unraveling tensor structures in correct-by-design controller synthesis

Formal safety guarantees on the synthesis of controllers for stochastic systems can be obtained using correct-by-design approaches. These approaches often use abstractions as finite-state Markov Decision Processes (MDPs). As the state space of these MDPs grows, the curse of dimensionality makes the computational and memory cost of the probabilistic guarantees, quantified with dynamic programming, scale exponentially. In this work, we leverage decoupled dynamics and unravel, via dynamic programming operations, a tree structure in the Canonical Polyadic Decomposition (CPD) of the value functions. For discrete-time stochastic systems with syntactically co-safe linear temporal logic (scLTL) specifications, we provide provable probabilistic safety guarantees and significantly alleviate the computational burden. We provide numerical studies and validations of the theoretical results on several typical case studies and showcase that the uncovered tree structure enables efficient reductions in the computational burden. This work is devoted to studying an accelerated stochastic Peaceman–Rachford splitting method(AS-PRSM)for solving a family of structural empirical risk minimization *** objective function to be optimized is the sum of a possibly nonsmooth convex function and a finite sum of smooth convex component *** smooth subproblem in AS-PRSM is solved by a stochastic gradient method using variance reduction technique and accelerated techniques,while the possibly nonsmooth subproblem is solved by introducing an indefinite proximal term to transform its solution into a proximity *** a proper choice for the involved parameters,we show that AS-PRSM converges in a sublinear convergence rate measured by the function value residual and constraint violation in the sense of expectation and *** experiments on testing the popular graph-guided fused lasso problem in machine learning and the 3D CT reconstruction problem in medical image processing show that the proposed AS-PRSM is very efficient.

An easily computable measure of Gaussian quantum imaginarity

The resource-theoretic frameworks for quantum imaginarity have been developed in recent years. Within these frameworks, many imaginarity measures for finite-dimensional systems have been proposed. However, for imaginarity of Gaussian states in continuous-variable (CV) systems, there are only two known Gaussian imaginarity measures, which exhibit prohibitive computational complexity when applied to multi-mode Gaussian states. In this paper, we propose a computable Gaussian imaginarity measure IGn for n-mode Gaussian systems. The value of IGn is simply formulated by the displacement vectors and covariance matrices of Gaussian states. A comparative analysis of IGn with existing two Gaussian imaginarity measures indicates that IGn can be used to detect imaginarity in any n-mode Gaussian states more efficiently. As an application, we study the dynamics behaviour of (1+1)-mode Gaussian states in Gaussian Markovian noise environments for two-mode CV system by utilizing IG2. Moreover, we prove that, IGn can induce a quantification of any m-multipartite multi-mode CV systems which satisfies all requirements for measures of multipartite multi-mode Gaussian correlations, which unveils that, n-mode Gaussian imaginarity can also be regarded as a kind of multipatite multi-mode Gaussian correlation and is a multipartite Gaussian quantum resource. © 2025, CC BY.

In this paper, we consider an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which serves multiple legitimate ground users with frequency division multiple access (FDMA) approach in the presence of a potential eavesdropper (EV) with uncertain location information. We also assume that UAV must also avoid flying over the no-fly-zone (NFZ). We aim to maximize the secrecy energy efficiency (SEE) by the robust joint design of the rotary-wing UAV three dimensional (3D) trajectory, bandwidth allocation, and transmit power. However, the optimization problem becomes challenging to solve optimally due to the non-convexity of the problem and the imperfect location information of the EV. We develop an efficient iterative algorithm to obtain its high-quality suboptimal solution. The numerical results indicate that our proposed joint optimization algorithm outperforms the benchmark schemes, resulting in significant enhancement of the energy efficiency of the system. © 2023 IEEE.

Effectively reconstructing 3D hyperspectral images (HSIs) from 2D measurements presents a significant challenge in Coded Aperture Snapshot Spectral Imaging (CASSI) systems. While recent transformers exhibit potential in HSI reconstruction, they often suffer from inadequate exploration of multi-scale spatial-spectral self-similarity, leading to mean effects and information loss. Additionally, these methods struggle with insufficient modeling of the degradation inherent in the compressive imaging process. To address these issues, we propose a novel Mask-guided Multi-scale Spatial-Spectral Transformer (MMSST). Specifically, we introduce a Degradation Aware Mask Attention (DAMA) module to incorporate degradation information of the compressive imaging process. Furthermore, MMSST leverages Local-Regional SpAtial attention (LRSA) and Global-Regional SpEctral attention (GRSE) to effectively exploit multi-scale self-similarity across spatial and spectral dimensions. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our MMSST.

Contagion dynamics on adaptive multiplex networks with awareness-dependent rewiring
