Aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) is a fine-grained task of sentiment analysis. To better comprehend long complicated sentences and obtain accurate aspect-specific information, linguistic and commonsense knowledge are generally required in this task. However, most current methods employ complicated and inefficient approaches to incorporate external knowledge, e.g., directly searching the graph nodes. Additionally, the complementarity between external knowledge and linguistic information has not been thoroughly studied. To this end, we propose a knowledge graph augmented network (KGAN), which aims to effectively incorporate external knowledge with explicitly syntactic and contextual information. In particular, KGAN captures the sentiment feature representations from multiple different perspectives, i.e., context-, syntax- and knowledge-based. First, KGAN learns the contextual and syntactic representations in parallel to fully extract the semantic features. Then, KGAN integrates the knowledge graphs into the embedding space, based on which the aspect-specific knowledge representations are further obtained via an attention mechanism. Last, we propose a hierarchical fusion module to complement these multi-view representations in a local-to-global manner. Extensive experiments on five popular ABSA benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our KGAN. Notably, with the help of the pretrained model of RoBERTa, KGAN achieves a new record of state-of-the-art performance among all datasets. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

With the proliferation of cloud services, the work of large-scale image retrieval is carried out on remote cloud become a trend in order to get rid of the storage burden and computation. However, traditional retrieval work based on centralized cloud services is considered to take risk in giving away users' privacy in many researches. We need a secure way for retrieving and storing images by decentralized approach. In this paper, we propose a decentralized scheme named PPIRB(An Privacy-Preserving Image Retrieval Scheme Base on Blockchain) for retrieving images based on blockchain. We used the data structure called amplifying locality sensitive hashing (ALSH) to improve search accuracy. Searchable symmetric en-cryption(SSE) and ALSH used to realize the encryption retrieval of image index on the blockchain. Our scheme also uses IPFS to replace the cloud server to realize distributed storage, and uses secret sharing scheme to realize the access control. We implemented and evaluated the scheme in Ethereum, and the results show that our scheme is efficient and accurate in finding similar images while preserving privacy. The overall overhead is reasonable. © 2022 IEEE.

Personalized Federated Graph Learning (pFGL) facilitates the decentralized training of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) without compromising privacy while accommodating personalized requirements for non-IID participants. In cross-domain scenarios, structural heterogeneity poses significant challenges for pFGL. Nevertheless, previous pFGL methods incorrectly share non-generic knowledge globally and fail to tailor personalized solutions locally under domain structural shift. We innovatively reveal that the spectral nature of graphs can well reflect inherent domain structural shifts. Correspondingly, our method overcomes it by sharing generic spectral knowledge. Moreover, we indicate the biased message-passing schemes for graph structures and propose the personalized preference module. Combining both strategies, we propose our pFGL framework FedSSP which Shares generic Spectral knowledge while satisfying graph Preferences. Furthermore, We perform extensive experiments on cross-dataset and cross-domain settings to demonstrate the superiority of our framework. The code is available at https://***/OakleyTan/FedSSP.

Stitching, Fine-tuning, Re-training: A SAM-enabled Framework for Semi-supervised 3D Medical Image Segmentation

Segment Anything Model (SAM) fine-tuning has shown remarkable performance in medical image segmentation in a fully supervised manner, but requires precise annotations. To reduce the annotation cost and maintain satisfactory performance, in this work, we leverage the capabilities of SAM for establishing semi-supervised medical image segmentation models. Rethinking the requirements of effectiveness, efficiency, and compatibility, we propose a three-stage framework, i.e., Stitching, Fine-tuning, and Re-training (SFR). The current fine-tuning approaches mostly involve 2D slice-wise fine-tuning that disregards the contextual information between adjacent slices. Our stitching strategy mitigates the mismatch between natural and 3D medical images. The stitched images are then used for fine-tuning SAM, providing robust initialization of pseudo-labels. Afterwards, we train a 3D semi-supervised segmentation model while maintaining the same parameter size as the conventional segmenter such as V-Net. Our SFR framework is plug-and-play, and easily compatible with various popular semi-supervised methods. We also develop an extended framework SFR+ with selective fine-tuning and re-training through confidence estimation. Extensive experiments validate that our SFR and SFR+ achieve significant improvements in both moderate annotation and scarce annotation across five datasets. In particular, SFR framework improves the Dice score of Mean Teacher from 29.68% to 74.40% with only one labeled data of LA dataset. Magnetic resonance (MR) image quality assessment plays a crucial role in disease diagnosis and data analysis. Existing methods typically treat the data as images and process them with convolutional networks, thereby ignoring the sequential characteristics of MR data. In this paper, we propose a hybrid spatial-frequency network (HSFNet) for MR image quality assessment, which extracts MR image quality features in both spatial and frequency domains. Specifically, within each data domain, information from local images and global sequences is iteratively integrated by applying a Mamba-based cascading processing module for multiple times. Extensive experiments on both T1-weighting and T2-weighting MR datasets demonstrate the proposed method’s effectiveness and generalization ability in comparison with state-of-the-art MR image quality assessment methods.

The fusion of hyperspectral and multispectral images (MSIs) involves integrating a high spectral resolution hyperspectral image (HSI) and a high spatial resolution MSI to generate an HSI with high-resolution HSI (HR-HSI). Existing HSI-MSI fusion methods primarily focus on information fusion within the spatial domain;however, few solutions have explored the employment of frequency analysis to enhance spatial resolution, limiting their capability for global perception. In this article, we propose an efficient and novel paradigm for HSI-MSI fusion through the cross-frequency enhanced spatial-spectral fusion network, named CESFusion, exploring the complementary fusion of information between the spatial and frequency domains. Specifically, we first present the cross-frequency fusion module (CFFM) to perform global analysis through the Fourier transform (FT) and effectively integrate and enhance the frequency domain information from both HSI and MSI. Subsequently, we propose the spectral modeling module (SpeMM) based on a state space model (SMM) to capture long-range spectral dependencies with linear complexity, and integrate it with the spatial residual block-based module (SRM) for joint spatial-spectral feature extraction. Finally, to enable sufficient interaction between the spatial and frequency domains, we adopt the cross-domain interaction module (CDIM), capturing and integrating complementary information from both domains. Moreover, a frequency-based loss function is purposely designed to further improve the restoration of global information. Extensive experiments conducted on both synthetic and real datasets demonstrate the superiority of our CESFusion, as evidenced by both quantitative and qualitative evaluation results. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

Indoor positioning based on signal fingerprint has always been a hot research topic. But most research requires the object or person to be positioned to carry a positioning device, which is not applicable in some special scenarios. This paper selects LoRa (Long Range) as the research target and proposes an indoor passive positioning system based on LoRa fingerprint. We design and implement the signal sent from the LoRa node devices to the LoRa gateway device and get the RSSI of the nodes, also send it to the proxy server for receiving and processing. In the data processing stage, the difference-limiting filtering algorithm is used to eliminate abnormal data, and the GaussianNB (Gaussian-Naive Bayes) algorithm is used to learn and train the model. Through experiments, the accuracy rates of the two-class and multi-class prediction in the range of 3m are 97.1% and 95.5%, respectively, which verifies the feasibility of applying LoRa signal to indoor passive positioning. © 2022, ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

Large language models (LLMs) have shown impressive performance on downstream tasks by in-context learning (ICL), which heavily relies on the quality of demonstrations selected from a large set of annotated examples. Recent works claim that in-context learning is robust to noisy demonstrations in text classification. In this work, we show that, on text generation tasks, noisy annotations significantly hurt the performance of in-context learning. To circumvent the issue, we propose a simple and effective approach called Local Perplexity Ranking (LPR), which replaces the "noisy" candidates with their nearest neighbors that are more likely to be clean. Our method is motivated by analyzing the perplexity deviation caused by noisy labels and decomposing perplexity into inherent perplexity and matching perplexity. Our key idea behind LPR is thus to decouple the matching perplexity by performing the ranking among the neighbors in semantic space. Our approach can prevent the selected demonstrations from including mismatched input-label pairs while preserving the effectiveness of the original selection methods. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of LPR, improving the EM score by up to 18.75 on common benchmarks with noisy annotations. Ubiquitylation is a critical post-translational modification (PTM) process that performs a critical role in a wide range of biological functions and is closely related to hallmarks of cancer, such as DNA damage response and oxidative stress. Over the past several years, deep learning have been widely employed in protein ubiquitylation site prediction tools. However, existing deep learning tools have a common feature that they treat protein sequences as input without considering spatial information of protein. This work exploits the three-dimensional structural protein to develop a novel graph-driven ubiquitylation site predictive model (GraphUbiquSite) combing capsule module to improve predictive accuracy. According to the experimental results on Protein Lysine Modification Database (PLMD), the proposed model can archive better performance in comparison with the state-of-the-art methods. © 2022 IEEE.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable performance in code completion. However, due to the lack of domain-specific knowledge, they may not be optimal in completing code that requires intensive domain knowledge for example completing the library names. Although there are several works that have confirmed the effectiveness of fine-tuning techniques to adapt language models for code completion in specific domains. They are limited by the need for constant fine-tuning of the model when the project is in constant *** address this limitation, in this paper, we propose kNM-LM, a retrieval-augmented language model (R-LM), that integrates domain knowledge into language models without fine-tuning. Different from previous techniques, our approach is able to automatically adapt to different language models and domains. Specifically, it utilizes the in-domain code to build the retrieval-based database decoupled from LM, and then combines it with LM through Bayesian inference to complete the code. The extensive experiments on the completion of intra-project and intra-scenario have confirmed that kNM-LM brings about appreciable enhancements when compared to CodeGPT and UnixCoder. A deep analysis of our tool including the responding speed, storage usage, specific type code completion, and API invocation completion has confirmed that kNM-LM provides satisfactory performance, which renders it highly appropriate for domain adaptive code completion. Furthermore, our approach operates without the requirement for direct access to the language model's parameters. As a result, it can seamlessly integrate with black-box code completion models, making it easy to integrate our approach as a plugin to further enhance the performance of these models.
