In reality, audible and visible sound sources are closely aligned, and they can help humans locate sources exactly. To exploit the complementarity between audio and visual data in multi-speaker direction of arrival (DoA) estimation, we propose a novel network consisting of 3D convolution neural networks (3D-CNNs) and 2D-CNNs mixture networks with residual dense blocks. It has two main advantages: 1) both input audio and visual features are low-level signal representation: the real and imaginary parts of STFT coefficients for the audio feature and pixel coordinates for the visual feature, which can allow the network to learn to extract the most informative high-level features. 2) 3D-CNNs with the residual dense block are used for audio and visual feature mapping along the time and frequency axis. The following 2D-CNNs are to ensemble the high-level features along the DoA axis. Experimental results demonstrate promising SSL performance.

With the ongoing advancements in science and technology and the increasing research focus on cancer-related issues, there has been a proliferation of omics-related resources for in-depth analysis and exploration. This burgeoning volume and complexity of biological data have fostered the integration of machine-learning techniques into biology. As a result, numerous machine-learning strategies have been established to identify driver mutations. Yet, many of these strategies produce complex models, complicating comprehension and thereby clouding the impact of input features on the resulting predictions. Our analysis presented the CIXG framework, which integrates a driver gene prediction module using XGBoost with a causality interpretation module anchored on CXPlain. This architecture enables quantifying each input feature’s contribution to the prediction outcome and ensures precise predictions of driver genes. When benchmarked against the state-of-the-art (SOTA) method, CIXG demonstrated superior accuracy in pinpointing driver genes across pan-cancer studies and within the 32 specific cancer types. Importantly, our results underscored that mutation features chiefly influence CIXG’s predictive prowess, with additional support from other omics features.

Image-text retrieval is a fundamental cross-modal task that aims to align the representation spaces between the image and text modalities. Existing cross-modal image-text retrieval methods independently generate embeddings for images and text, introduce interaction-based networks for cross-modal inference, and then achieve retrieval by using matching metrics. However, they overlook the semantic relationship between the coarse-grained and fine-grained representations within each modality, failing to capture the consistency of representations across different modalities, which affects the semantic learning of cross-modal representations, and makes it difficult to align modalities in semantic space. Consequently, these previous works inevitably suffer from low retrieval accuracy or high computational costs. In this paper, instead of directly fusing two cross-modal het-erogeneous spaces, we propose an multimodal knowledge enhanced multimodal transformer network framework to combine coarse-grained and fine-grained representation learning into a unified framework, capturing alignment information between targets, constructing a global semantic graph, and ultimately align multimodal representations in the semantic space. In our approach, images generate semantic and spatial graphs to represent visual information, while sentences generate text graphs based on semantic relationships between words, and they are used for intra-modal graph network inference. Subsequently, the generated global and local embeddings are fused into an enhanced multimodal transformer framework, effectively imple-menting cross-modal interaction processes by leveraging prior implicit semantic information from the multimodal knowledge graph. Ethereum smart contract enables developers to en-force access control policies of critical functions using built-in signature verification interfaces, i.e., ecrecover. However, due to the lack of best practices for these interfaces, improper verifications commonly exist in deployed smart contracts, leaving potential unauthorized access and financial losses. Even worse, the attack surface is ignored by both developers and existing smart contract security analyzers. In this paper, we take a close look at signature-related vulnerabilities and de-mystify them with clear classification and characterization. We present Siguard, the first automatic tool to detect these vulnerabilities in real-world smart contracts. Specifically, Siguard explores signature-related paths in the smart contract and extracts data dependencies based on symbolic execution and taint analysis. Then, it conducts vulnerability detection based on a systematic search for violations of standard patterns including EIP-712 and EIP-2621. The preliminary evaluation validated the efficacy of Siguard by reporting previously unknown vulnerabilities in deployed smart contracts on Ethereum. Spatial audio quality evaluation is essential for applications like virtual and augmented reality, where accurate sound reproduction enhances user immersion. While subjective listening tests are the gold standard, they are costly and time-consuming. To address this, we propose HAPG-SAQAM, an objective metric for assessing timbre quality, spatial quality, and overall quality of binaural audio, guided by human auditory perception. Our contributions include: (1) the Multi-scale Auditory Guided Feature Extraction (MAGFE) module, incorporating gammatone frequency cepstral coefficients for better alignment with human perception; (2) Perceptual Weighted Loss (PWL), optimizing the weighting of timbre quality (TQ) and spatial quality (SQ) loss based on subjective test data; and (3) data augmentation techniques to enhance robustness by amplifying perceptual distortions. Experimental results show HAPG-SAQAM improves correlation with subjective scores by 10%, with ablation studies confirming the contributions of its components to enhanced spatial and overall audio quality.

Unlike highly purposeful search, a recommender system tends to uncover the user’s potential interests and is a personalized information filtering system. Recently, the performance of hypergraph neural networks in classification tasks has attracted much attention. Compared with traditional recommender systems, hypergraph neural network-based recommender systems have better mining higher-order associations, accurate modeling of multivariate relationships, handling of multimodal and heterogeneous data, and clustering advantages. This fact drives the development of recommendation algorithms based on hypergraph neural networks. Due to the inherent flaws of BGP protocol, the security of inter domain routing system has been regularly threatened. Since it is difficult to achieve collaborative defense against existing resources and strategies of multiple autonomous systems, this paper designs and organizes them into autonomous system community. Within the community, a precomputing multi-link generation mechanism is proposed based on genetic algorithm. Before the inter domain routing system is attacked, the link set can be generated as complete as possible in advance. Once an attack occurs, the community will quickly select proper precomputing links to replace the failed ones, in order to ensure the stability of inter domain communication. The effectiveness of the mechanism has been proved in function and performance through simulation experiments. © 2022 IEEE.

Computation offloading, resource allocation, and endurance issues in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-aided mobile edge computing (MEC) networks have always been a research focus. UAV-aided MEC allows mobile users (MUs)' tasks to be offloaded to drones for processing in special scenarios, such as natural disasters or military attacks. However, as the number and size of offloaded tasks increase, a single UAV is difficult to meet all computational demands, result in the decline of QoS. To address this issue, this paper presents a collaborative computation offloading scheme where multiple UAVs can cooperate to handle massive tasks. Firstly, considering that battery-limited UAVs cannot complete all tasks and sustain flight without charging, we incorporate charging stations (CS) into multi-UAV-assisted MEC networks. Subsequently, we design a price-based incentive mechanism to maximize the total revenue obtained from UAVs' collaborative computation. Then, we formulate the joint optimization problem of computation offloading, resource allocation and charging scheduling as a Markov Decision Process (MDP), and propose a Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic policy gradient (TD3) algorithm to find optimal strategies. Finally, extensive simulations demonstrate that the proposed TD3 algorithm outperforms other benchmark methods, achieving the highest overall system utility under different scenarios.

Monaural speech enhancement (SE) is an ill-posed problem due to the irreversible degradation process. Recent methods to achieve SE tasks rely solely on positive information, e.g., ground-truth speech and speech-relevant features. Different from the above, we observe that the negative information, such as original speech mixture and speech-irrelevant features, are valuable to guide the SE model training procedure. In this study, we propose a SE model that integrates both speech positive and negative information for improving SE performance by adopting contrastive learning, in which two innovations have consisted. (1) We design a collaboration module (CM), which contains two parts, contrastive attention for separating relevant and irrelevant features via contrastive learning and interactive attention for establishing the correlation between both speech features in a learnable and self-adaptive manner. (2) We propose a contrastive regularization (CR) built upon contrastive learning to ensure that the estimated speech is pulled closer to the clean speech and pushed far away from the noisy speech in the representation space by integrating self-supervised models. We term the proposed SE network with CM and CR as CMCR-Net. Experimental results demonstrate that our CMCR-Net achieves comparable and superior performance to recent approaches. © 2023, CC BY.
