Short message is one of the most common communication media for mobile subscribers, so major mobile operators are devoted to improve their Short Message Service (SMS). However, the annoying and undesired messages, also named message spam or simply spam, not only worsen the users' experience, but also cause their complaints on SMS. In this paper, we present a novel Chinese SMS spam filtering framework based on AdaBoost algorithm to provide accurate and effective short messages classification. Three content-based weak filters are introduced to boost the performance of final classification decision. Results from Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) analysis prove the proposed method has such advantages as higher efficiency and fewer parameters over those established SMS spam filtering methods. The application of the proposed method is expected to block the most spam for mobile subscribers and improve the service quality of SMS. With simple data processing and few training parameters, the proposed method can be applied into the practice of short text classification.

Travel time parameters obtained from road traffic sensors data play an important role in traffic management practice. In this paper, a travel time analysis and prediction model was established for urban road traffic sensors data based on the change point analysis algorithm and ARIMA model. Firstly, time series of travel time parameters were clustered by using change point mining algorithm after traffic sensors data preprocessing. Then, a travel time prediction model was established based on ARIMA model. Finally, the model was verified with high accuracy through simulation by using multiple sets of data and analysis of its practicability was done.

Special Re-use TDMA(STDMA) emerges as a promising channel access technique for providing Quality of Service(QoS) guarantees in multi-hop ad Hoc networks such as community mesh and sensor networks. The contention-free channel access combined with special reuse of the channel provides significant benefits in the energy/throughput trade-off. However, the protocol may introduce scheduling delay if, on the same path, an outbound link on a router is scheduled to transmit before an inbound link on that router. The total scheduling delay can be quite large since it accumulates at every hop on a path. This paper presents a method to solve this problem to improve the performance of the network system. Compared to the origin STDMA protocol, simulation results present us the superior performance of the proposed algorithm.
