Automatic EEG spike detection provide valuable information for diagnosis of epilepsy. In the past 30 years, a number of algorithms were proposed. However, the basic idea of most algorithms is to identify spike activities. We have developed an algorithm based on identify non-spike activities for off-line analysis. In this paper, we improved the algorithm for online application using real-time template. Template method is a typical spike detection method. It was not widely employed because of the difficulty of making template. Our results suggested that multichannel template is meaningful and effective for real-time detection. Spike activities can be detected with a delay of about 2 s. We also designed an simple user-friendly monitor interface for monitor and review spike events in real-time.

Generalized second-price (GSP) is currently the dominant auction mechanism used in the sponsored search advertising market. However, despite its tremendous commercial success and theoretical optimality, its effectiveness is jeopardized by the severe click frauds conducted by advertisers and third-party publishers and the vicious bidding strategy used by advertisers to exhaust the budget of rivals. In this paper, we analyze the drawbacks of GSP that tolerate or even encourage such negative behaviors (i.e., click fraud and vicious bidding) and propose a dynamic modification of the original GSP mechanism to address these drawbacks. Our modified auction mechanism incorporates budget into slot allocation and payment determination and relates the quality score of an advertisement to the current bid. Our analysis shows that our mechanism can effectively reduce the effects of click fraud and vicious bidding.

This paper deals with global synchronization in arrays of coupled delayed Lur’e systems with nonlinear couplings, in which the interval variable delay is treated. Together with Krasovskii-Lyapunov functional method and Kronecker product technique, two novel synchronization criteria are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) based on generalized convex combination, in which the conditions are heavily dependent on upper and lower bounds of time-delay and delay derivative. Through employing LMI in Matlab Toolbox and adjusting some matrix parameters in the derived results, we can realize the designing and applications of the coupled systems. The effectiveness of the proposed methods can be demonstrated by one numerical example with simulations.
