Logic diagnosis is a key step in yield learning. Multiple faults diagnosis is challenging because of several reasons, including error masking, fault reinforcement, and huge search space for possible fault combinations. This work proposes a two-phase method for multiple-fault diagnosis. The first phase efficiently reduces the potential number of fault candidates through machine learning. The second phase obtains the final diagnosis results, by formulating the task as an combinational optimization problem that is later iteratively solved using binary evolution computation. Experiments shows that our method outperforms two existing methods for multiple-fault diagnosis, and achieves better diagnosability (improved by $1.87\times$ ) and resolution (improved by $1.42\times$ ) compared with a state-of-the-art commercial diagnosis tool.

Evolutionary multitasking algorithms use information exchange among individuals in a population to solve multiple optimization problems simultaneously. Negative transfer is a critical factor that affects the performance of evolutionary multitasking algorithms. In this study, we propose an innovative approach to mitigate negative transfer in evolutionary multitasking algorithms. The proposed approach is grounded in rigorous theoretical analysis, which provides valuable theoretical insights into the design of an optimal linear crossover operator for mitigating negative transfer. By identifying interpretable conditions, we establish a solid theoretical foundation to prevent negative transfer in diverse scenarios. Building upon these findings, we theoretically derive a closed-form expression for the optimal crossover operator and propose practical design methods based on approximations. Furthermore, we integrate the proposed optimal crossover operator into a fundamental evolutionary multitasking algorithm framework. The resultant algorithm is comparable or superior to other state-of-the-art methods. Empirical validation through comprehensive experiments confirms the effectiveness of our theoretical findings. © 1997-2012 IEEE.

Due to the convenience and popularity of Web applications, they have become a prime target for attackers. As the main programming language for Web applications, many methods have been proposed for detecting malicious JavaScript, among which static analysis-based methods play an important role because of their high effectiveness and efficiency. However, obfuscation techniques are commonly used in JavaScript, which makes the features extracted by static analysis contain many useless and disguised features, leading to many false positives and false negatives in detection results. In this paper, we propose a novel method to find out the essential features related to the semantics of JavaScript code. Specifically, we develop JS-Revealer, a robust, effective, scalable, and interpretable detector for malicious JavaScript. To test the capabilities of JSRevealer, we conduct comparative experiments with four other state-of-the-art malicious JavaScript detection tools. The experimental results show that JSRevealer has an average F1 of 84.8% on the data obfuscated by different obfuscators, which is 21.6%, 22.3%, 18.7%, and 22.9% higher than the tools CUJO, ZOZZLE, JAST, and JSTAP, respectively. Moreover, the detection results of JSRevealer can be interpreted, which can provide meaningful insights for further security research.

Knowledge Graph is an important research field that involves the storage and management of knowledge, but the incompleteness and sparsity of Knowledge Graphs hinder their application in many fields. Knowledge Graph Reasoning aims to alleviate this problem by completing missing paths or identifying wrong paths between entities. Graph Convolution Network (GCN) based methods are one of the state-of-the-art approaches to this work. However, it is difficult to directly generalize to unknown nodes and utilizes valid information from the local neighborhood which results in poor flexibility and extensibility and will loss of important information. This paper presents EG-KGR, a plug-and-play knowledge reasoning model based on enhanced graph sampling and aggregate inductive learning algorithm to relieve the above problems and enhance existing GCN-based methods. Specifically, EG-KGR supports incremental characteristics, uses inductive learning to replace transductive learning, and designs random sampling and local information sampling optimization methods to improve the model's generalization ability, prediction accuracy, and running speed. Extensive experimental results show that our EG-KGR can achieve optimal results.

FedDWA: Personalized Federated Learning with Dynamic Weight Adjustment

Different from conventional federated learning, personalized federated learning (PFL) is able to train a customized model for each individual client according to its unique requirement. The mainstream approach is to adopt a kind of weighted aggregation method to generate personalized models, in which weights are determined by the loss value or model parameters among different clients. However, such kinds of methods require clients to download others’ models. It not only sheer increases communication traffic but also potentially infringes data privacy. In this paper, we propose a new PFL algorithm called FedDWA (Federated Learning with Dynamic Weight Adjustment) to address the above problem, which leverages the parameter server (PS) to compute personalized aggregation weights based on collected models from clients. In this way, FedDWA can capture similarities between clients with much less communication overhead. More specifically, we formulate the PFL problem as an optimization problem by minimizing the distance between personalized models and guidance models, so as to customize aggregation weights for each client. Guidance models are obtained by the local one-step ahead adaptation on individual clients. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments using five real datasets and the results demonstrate that FedDWA can significantly reduce the communication traffic and achieve much higher model accuracy than the state-of-the-art approaches. BARA: Efficient Incentive Mechanism with Online Reward Budget Allocation in Cross-Silo Federated Learning

Federated learning (FL) is a prospective distributed machine learning framework that can preserve data privacy. In particular, cross-silo FL can complete model training by making isolated data islands of different organizations collaborate with a parameter server (PS) via exchanging model parameters for multiple communication rounds. In cross-silo FL, an incentive mechanism is indispensable for motivating data owners to contribute their models to FL training. However, how to allocate the reward budget among different rounds is an essential but complicated problem largely overlooked by existing works. The challenge of this problem lies in the opaque feedback between reward budget allocation and model utility improvement of FL, making the optimal reward budget allocation complicated. To address this problem, we design an online reward budget allocation algorithm using Bayesian optimization named BARA (Budget Allocation for Reverse Auction). Specifically, BARA can model the complicated relationship between reward budget allocation and final model accuracy in FL based on historical training records so that the reward budget allocated to each communication round is dynamically optimized so as to maximize the final model utility. We further incorporate the BARA algorithm into reverse auction-based incentive mechanisms to illustrate its effectiveness. Extensive experiments are conducted on real datasets to demonstrate that BARA significantly outperforms competitive baselines by improving model utility with the same amount of reward budget. Aiming at the low efficiency of traditional methods for the management and classification of massive remote sensing image data, a mass remote sensing image classification method based on distributed storage is proposed. The aim is to obtain near real-time image classification in mobile devices or internet applications. In this paper, we designed two levels of an image processing structure. A distributed file system is taken as the underlying storage architecture to efficiently manage and query massive remote sensing images. The upper layer uses a GPU server to train the remote sensing image classification model to improve the classification accuracy. To improve the classification accuracy, we add two parameters to adjust the data of the current layer in U-Net. The experimental results show that the proposed method based on distributed storage has a high degree of scalability, and it has a short processing time while maintaining a high classification accuracy for remote sensing images. © 2020, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

SFDA-rPPG: Source-Free Domain Adaptive Remote Physiological Measurement with Spatio-Temporal Consistency

Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) is a non-contact method that uses facial video to predict changes in blood volume, enabling physiological metrics measurement. Traditional rPPG models often struggle with poor generalization capacity in unseen domains. Current solutions to this problem is to improve its generalization in the target domain through Domain Generalization (DG) or Domain Adaptation (DA). However, both traditional methods require access to both source domain data and target domain data, which cannot be implemented in scenarios with limited access to source data, and another issue is the privacy of accessing source domain data. In this paper, we propose the first Source-free Domain Adaptation benchmark for rPPG measurement (SFDA-rPPG), which overcomes these limitations by enabling effective domain adaptation without access to source domain data. Our framework incorporates a Three-Branch Spatio-Temporal Consistency Network (TSTC-Net) to enhance feature consistency across domains. Furthermore, we propose a new rPPG distribution alignment loss based on the Frequency-domain Wasserstein Distance (FWD), which leverages optimal transport to align power spectrum distributions across domains effectively and further enforces the alignment of the three branches. Extensive cross-domain experiments and ablation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method in source-free domain adaptation settings. Our findings highlight the significant contribution of the proposed FWD loss for distributional alignment, providing a valuable reference for future research and applications. Multi-agent Collaboration for Vehicular Task Offloading Using Federated Deep Reinforcement Learning

Mobile Edge computing (MEC) distributes resources such as computing, storage, and bandwidth to the side close to users, which can provide low-latency services to in-vehicle users, thus promising a more efficient and safer driving environment. However, due to the dynamic scale of vehicle and the variability of resource requirements, it is a significant challenge to quickly obtain effective task offloading in large-scale vehicle scenarios. The existing studies generally adopt the centralized decision-making method, with long decision-making time and high computational overhead, which cannot effectively achieve good offloading decisions in large-scale scenarios. To address these problems, we propose a Multi-agent Collaborative Method for vehicular task offloading using Federated Deep Reinforcement Learning called MCM-FDRL. First, each vehicle as an agent, independently makes offloading decisions based on local information. Next, the offloading decision model of each vehicle is obtained through federated reinforcement learning training. At runtime, an effective vehicle offloading plan can be gradually developed through multi-agent collaboration. Using two real-world datasets, experiments show that the MCM-FDRL has good adaptability and scalability. Moreover, compared to the state-of-the-art methods, the task's average response time of the MCM-FDRL is reduced by 9.75%-64.90%, respectively. © 2002-2012 IEEE.
