Based on flexure theory and inharmonic relationship of deformation of rocks, the criterion of hard roof separation was built. And the influence of homologous parameters on roof deformation was given. Using the technology of telemeter measurement to monitor rock separator in goaf, the conclusion can indicate: the system of telemeter can monitor effectively the separation information of roof rock. By anglicizing the curve monitored, the position of roof where separation happens can be confirmed;and the thickness of cave of roof would be predicted. Using the information monitored by the system of telemeter before roof cave, some prevention can be practiced to protect the safety mining under hard roof.

The influence of parameters of a dual-pulses current, i. e., two group of pulse current with different height and width, for electrodeposition of Ni-P alloy on the catalytic activity to hydrogen evolution in alkaline solution was investigated. The results showed that the Ni-P alloy electrode prepared by the dual-pulses current method displayed a better catalysis to hydrogen evolution than those by the direct current method. The Ni-P alloys with P content from 5.8% to 10.0% were fabricated by means of changing deposition technique. It was found that the alloy with P content of 6.0% exhibited the best catalysis to hydrogen evolution in all investigated alloys. The P content in the alloy, however, is not the only factor to cause the difference in catalysis to hydrogen evolution. The difference in surface configuration of the alloy probably plays a more important role in catalysis to hydrogen evolution because the alloy with almost same P content displays a quite different catalysis to hydrogen evolution.

In this paper, we incorporate fuzzy mathematics approach into the Eulerian method to simulate three dimensional multi-material interfaces. In particular, we propose a fuzzy interface treatment for describing interfaces, designing transport plans, and computing transport quantities. Using a set of three-dimensional inviscid isothermal elastic-plastic hydrodynamic equations, we simulate shaped charge jet in different filled dynamite structures. Strain and stress have been under consideration in simulations. Numerical results demonstrate that the fuzzy interface treatment is correct and efficient for three-dimensional multi-material problems.

This open access book provides the uniaxial, triaxial, fatigue, creep, creep-fatigue loading tests in order to investigate the salt mechanical response and the related damage mechanisms defining relation between plastic deformation, dilatancy and damage. Based on the experimental results, a new creep-fatigue constitutive model for salt rock that considers creep-fatigue interaction was established by incorporating a state variable that characterizes rock hardening level on the basis of the Norton creep model. Different salt rock mechanical test data sets with varying stress paths were used to validate this creep-fatigue constitutive model. The fit curves and test curves of the stress paths demonstrate good consistency, indicating that the model comprehensively considers the effects of time, load, and state on salt rock's creep-fatigue, effectively describing the creep-fatigue plastic deformation features of salt rock under different stress paths.
