A remote debugging system for OpenMP parallel program is presented in this paper. The system consists of two parts, namely, an integrated debugging environment running on the clent-side and a background daemon running on the server-side. Information exchange between the two sides is accomplished through the socket-based network communication technology. The remote debugging function is realized by the automatic instrumentation technology at code level based on syntax tree. Instance tests show that the system can provide remote users with correctness checking, performance analysis and other debugging functions for OpenMP parallel programs. The user interface is simple and very easy to use. © 2011 IEEE.

This paper proposes an enhanced scheduling solution to support different quality of service (QoS) for IEEE 802.16e broadband wireless access network. Based on the existing scheduling algorithm M-LWDF, we do deeper research into how to integrate it into IEEE 802.16e. The proposed scheduling solution combines the key service flow parameters defined by IEEE 802.16e standard with M-LWDF scheme. Simulation results show that the delay character is improved for real-time services using the proposed method.

A semi-supervised subtractive clustering has been proposed recently. However, it performance depends greatly on the choice of the parameters of the mountain function and only proper parameters enable the clustering method to produce a better effect. In this paper, an evolutionary semi-supervised subtractive clustering method by seeding is presented. The novel approach uses the genetic algorithms for tuning the relative parameters of the subtractive clustering by minimizing the Davies Bouldin clustering validity index regarded as the fitness function. To investigate the effectiveness of our approach, several experiments are done three real datasets. Experimental results show that our proposed method can improve the clustering performance significantly compared to other two traditional semi-supervised clustering algorithms. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

It is estimated that the breakthrough in the broad deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) could come from smart cars. Indeed, we have seen multi-facet advances around cars: new material, in vehicle infotainment, driverless cars, smart transportation, electrical vehicles, etc. However, in-vehicle-networking has been mainly by wire;the wiring for a car is largely prebuilt during the design phase. With more and more things networked within a car, wiring has taken up 1-2 percent of the total weight. This translates into burning up to 0.1 kilogram fuel over 100 kilometers. On the other hand, the advances in wireless technology, especially the broad acceptance of WirelssHART in the industrial settings, has proved its capability in harsh environments. This paper studies what could happen if we use WirelessHART mesh network for in-vehicle communication. While new wireless network protocols are needed to perform the task of CAN, the dominant in-vehicle fieldbus, WirelessHART could take on the work performed by LIN, the fieldbus for peripheral devices. A detailed study is provided to compare these buses. Road tests were performed, in which a WirelessHART network keeps running for the whole 20 minute period.

Reliable web services selection based on finite state machine model

Dynamically selecting suitable Web services (WSs) is crucial to users in Web services Composition (WSC). Generally, most works regard a Web service (WS) as the basic unit and compose the composite WS (CWS) end to end. However, a WS may comprise multiple operations that are invoked in sequence and the selection of WSs according to the model still is a NP problem. In this study, the WSs consist of some operations and then WSs selection problem is formalized as a Finite State Machine (FSM) process. This study proposed an algorithm to create the WSC Tree (WSCT), in which each path from root to leaf node is a feasible WSC execution path. Then, a heuristic algorithm is proposed to realize the selection of WSs based on the WSCT. The advantage of heuristic algorithm is that it can address the selection problem without traversing the whole WSCT but it still spends much time in the construction of the WSCT. So, in order to further decrease the time of selection, a backtracking algorithm is presented to select a feasible execution path without generating WSCT. At last, experiments show that heuristic algorithm is more effective than exhaustive method and the backtracking algorithm spend the less time than heuristic algorithm, the reliability of WSC execution path selected by backtracking algorithm can satisfy the requirement of users. So, this study proposed an algorithm to select a feasible WSC execution path within a reasonable time. © 2011 Asian Network for Scientific Information.

Considering characteristic of mHealth communication and problems of existing methods, this paper presents a real-time communication method for mHealth based on extended XMPP protocol. The method can maintain the role status efficiently and reduce data latency during the communication process. Meanwhile, it can be extended flexibly to meet increasing communication demands of mHealth services. Furthermore, a system framework is presented to support telemonitoring scene. Finally, system implementation and feasibility tests verify the effectiveness of the method and framework.

Learning automaton (LA) is a reinforcement learning model that aims to determine the optimal action out of a set of actions. It is characterized by updating a selection probability vector through a sequence of repetitive feedback cycles interacting with an environment. Decentralized learning automata (DLAs) consists of many learning automata (LAs) that learn at the same time. Each LA independently selects an action based on its own selection probability vector. In order to provide an appropriate central coordination mechanism in DLAs, this paper proposes a novel decentralized coordination learning automaton (DCLA) using a new selection probability vector which is combined with the probability vectors derived from both LA and estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA). LA contributes to the own learning experience of each LA while EDA estimates the distribution of the whole swarm's promising individuals. Thus, decentralized LAs can be coordinated by EDA using the swarm's comprehensive knowledge. The proposed automaton is applied to solve the real problem of meta-task scheduling in heterogeneous computing system. Extensive experiments demonstrate a superiority of DCLA over other counterpart algorithms. The results show that the proposed DCLA provides an effective and efficient way to coordinate LAs for solving complicated problems.

As a matter of fact, it is usually taken for granted that the occurrence of unauthorized behaviors is necessary for the fraud detection in online payment services. However, we seek to break this stereotype in this work. We strive to design an ex-ante anti-fraud method that can work before unauthorized behaviors occur. The feasibility of our solution is supported by the cooperation of a characteristic and a finding in online payment fraud scenarios: The well-recognized characteristic is that online payment frauds are mostly caused by account compromise. Our finding is that account theft is indeed predictable based on users' high-risk behaviors, without relying on the behaviors of thieves. Accordingly, we propose an account risk prediction scheme to realize the ex-ante fraud detection. It takes in an account's historical transaction sequence, and outputs its risk score. The risk score is then used as an early evidence of whether a new transaction is fraudulent or not, before the occurrence of the new transaction. We examine our method on a real-world B2C transaction dataset from a commercial bank. Experimental results show that the ex-ante detection method can prevent more than 80% of the fraudulent transactions before they actually occur. When the proposed method is combined with an interim detection to form a real-time anti-fraud system, it can detect more than 94% of fraudulent transactions while maintaining a very low false alarm rate (less than 0.1%). © 2020 Inst. Time-Sensitive networking (TSN) meets the needs of industrial internet of things (IIoT). It solves the challenges of deterministic transmission and reliable communication of time sensitive data streams. Traffic scheduling is the core mechanism of time-sensitive networks. Many excellent researches have explored and optimized the method of scheduling time-triggered streams in TSN. However, the existing time-triggered streams scheduling in TSN mostly separates routing and scheduling, which limits the scalability of scheduling. Many researches are based on fixed routing to schedule streams. Due to the interaction between scheduling and routing, the quality of fixed route solution is inferior to that of joint routing and scheduling. In this paper, we propose a meta-heuristic based multipath joint routing and scheduling method for time-triggered traffic in TSN, named MMRS. We set path selection as a variable and consider multipath routing for fault tolerance. At the same time, we establish the integer linear programming formulation and use meta-heuristic to obtain high-quality solutions. The evaluations show that compared with other excellent routing and scheduling methods, the runtime of 60 streams of MMRS method is reduced by 65.6%, and the schedulability is improved by 21% on average. The experiments verify that our proposed scheduling method can obtain high-quality solutions in an acceptable solution time. © 2023 SPIE.
