Curve-Suppression-Based Event-Triggered Mechanisms for Quasi-Synchronization of Fuzzy Delayed Neural Networks on Time Scales

The vast majority of published event-triggered mechanisms (ETMs) are constructed based on measurement errors, which introduces a problem naturally that they are updated when the measurement errors exceed the thresholds although the current obtained sampling states can make systems converge well. With this problem in mind, we redesign ETMs for quasi-synchronization of T-S fuzzy neural networks (FNNs) with time delays on time scales. First, a novel ETM is designed for continuous-time FNNs with time-varying delays to achieve quasi-synchronization, with which synchronization errors is suppressed to globally exponentially converge to a ball. Second, we introduce the ETM for continuous-time FNNs to discrete-time FNNs, owing to the existence of discrete-time states, the Lypunov function of synchronization errors run over the exponentially decay curve, but it can be suppressed to evolve under another exponentially decay curve. Third, for FNNs on time scales with constant and time-varying delays, we estimate the forward jump operator of the Lyapunov functions and design ETMs to guarantee that the Lypunov functions evolve under the exponentially decay curves, so quasi-synchronization can be achieved. Last but not least, we prove that Zeno behavior will not happen and four numerical examples are introduced to verify the validity and the superiority of the proposed ETMs in reducing information transmission. © 2013 IEEE.

Concentric Circles Nested Array Design Method for Acoustic Imaging Based on Differential Co-Array Model

Acoustic imaging intuitively illustrates the locations of sound sources and has a wide range of applications, including fault detection. However, this technology requires a substantial number of microphones, which increases the complexity and cost of the data acquisition system. To reduce the number of microphones while maintaining the performance of acoustic imaging, this paper introduces a concentric circular nested array (CCNA) design method. By extending the array using a differential co-array model, a virtual uniform concentric circular array is achieved. This virtual array preserves the advantages of the circular array structure while minimizing the number of required microphones. The performance of the proposed array is validated through simulation experiments. The simulation results demonstrate that the CCNA offers higher resolution, a greater dynamic range (DR), and improved positioning accuracy in acoustic imaging compared to other arrays. Finally, this paper compares the acoustic imaging results of the CCNA with those of the uniform circular array (UCA) through experiments. The experimental results reveal that the positioning accuracy of the proposed CCNA surpasses that of the UCA, thereby confirming the superiority of the proposed design. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

This paper solves the event-triggered robust consensus problem of disturbed multi-agent systems (MASs) in fully distributed fashion. First, a distributed extended state observer (DESO) is developed for appropriately estimating system states and external disturbances. Then, by utilising these estimates, a fully distributed event-triggering control protocol, that composes of an adaptive distributed controller to avoid using global information while maintaining desired consensus property, and a novel hybrid dynamic event-triggering mechanism (ETM) to save communication resources, is put forward for the MASs. It is notable that an auxiliary differential equation is incorporated in the triggering condition, with which, positive minimum interevent times (MIETs) are available to ease the hardware implementation, while being with adaptive coefficients, the proposed hybrid dynamic ETM can be independent of any global information. Finally, the obtained main results are testified via a numerical example. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Game-based Secondary control for DC Microgrids with Nash Equilibrium

Voltage regulation and current sharing are two major issues when designing distributed control strategies for DC microgrids. However, power supply economy of local generators also needs to be considered. In this paper, a game-based framework is constructed, where multiple generators are regarded as the participants with secondary control signals being the game actions. A distributed secondary control algorithm is proposed, while information mask is introduced to avoid transmitting true control signal to neighbors. Then, payoff function is designed for each generator, which is composed of voltage regulation error, current sharing error and the local generation cost. It is proved that under the proposed secondary control algorithm in conjunction with the payoff function, a unique Nash equilibrium can be reached. Consequently, the minimum of the payoff function can be achieved, where the optimization of system control behavior and local economic operation can be realized simultaneously. Numerical simulations and experimental tests are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed secondary control strategy within several scenarios. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

With the increase of enterprise informatisation, database security and compliance operation management have become increasingly important. Therefore, it is essential to design an efficient database proxy approval system. In this paper, we develop a database proxy approval system based on the MySQL protocol for fortress machines, which provides a real-time customised configuration scheme for high-risk commands, designs a real-time approval process for six types of high-risk commands, and creates a simple and efficient matching algorithm for high-risk commands. We designed a large number of experiments to test the system’s connection success rate, operation stability, response time, CPU resource consumption, matching algorithm performance, and other aspects. The experimental results show that this database proxy approval system has good configuration flexibility, high accuracy, and good time performance. This system has a wide range of applications in electric power, finance, petroleum, and other fields. © 2025 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Linear self-attention with multi-relational graph for knowledge graph completion

Knowledge graph completion (KGC) aims to infer missing facts based on the existing knowledge. Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs) have gained significant traction due to their proficiency in effectively modeling graph structures, especially within the realm of Knowledge Graph Completion (KGC). In GCN-based KGC methodologies, GCNs are initially employed to generate comprehensive representations of entities, followed by the application of Knowledge Graph Embedding (KGE) models to elucidate the interactions among entities and relations. However, most GCN-based KGC models ignore the long-range pairwise relationships in the graph. To address these limitations and enhance KGC, we propose a model called Linear Self-Attention with Multi-Relational Graph Network (LTRGN). Specifically, this model merges GCN and linear self-attention to serve as the encoder. This model introduces a linear self-attention that can capture long-range node dependencies without introducing excessive computational overhead. Furthermore, we implement an attention mechanism designed to better assess the significance of various neighboring nodes relative to the source node. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed LTRGN on the standard FB15k-237, WN18RR, Kinship, and UMLS datasets. On the dense graphs Kinship and UMLS, the MRR of our model improves by 1.3% and 4.1%, respectively, while Hits@1 increases by 1.7% and 6.4% compared to the best-performing model. The results show the efficacy of the model for the KGC task. In online shopping, a person's interest in a product is closely related to whether they will purchase it Analyzing people's interest in various products on time, along with product recommendations, can increase purchase rates. However, in many cases, We only know user implicit feedback, such as browsing or favoriting items, and cannot directly access user explicit feedback, such as product ratings. Moreover, users have limited exposure to products, resulting in a sparse user- item matrix. The traditional Alternating Least Squares (ALS) algorithm can partially address the issue of matrix sparsity, but its accuracy in recommending products based on implicit feedback alone is insufficient This paper proposes an improved ALS algorithm that converts implicit feedback into explicit ratings. We calculate the browsing frequency of a product based on user browsing counts. For a given product, we represent user preference by summing the browsing frequencies of all products with browsing frequencies less than or equal to that of the product. Then, by multiplying the preference level by the product's maximum rating, we derive a product rating, achieving a transformation from implicit feedback to explicit scores. Additionally, traditional collaborative filtering algorithms often use offline data, which may not align with user current preferences. To improve the algorithm's accuracy, we also utilize Flink for real-time data processing, allowing us to capture the most recent feedback data. This study tests the approach using the UserBehavior dataset from the publicly available Tianchi dataset. Experimental results indicate improvements in both Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). © 2025 IEEE.

The primary objective in aircraft transportation is to minimize turbulent drag, thereby conserving energy and reducing emissions. We propose a sector-shaped counter-flow dielectric barrier discharge plasma actuator, which leverages jet synthesis for drag reduction. A drag control experiment was conducted in a low-speed wind tunnel with a controlled flow velocity of 9.6 m/s(Re = 1.445 × 10^(4)). This study investigated the effects of varying pulse frequencies and actuation voltages on the turbulent boundary layer. Using a hot-wire measurement system, we analyzed the pulsating and time-averaged velocity distributions within the boundary layer to evaluate the streamwise turbulent drag reduction. The results show that the local TDR decreases as the pulse frequency increases, reaching a maximum reduction of approximately 20.97% at a pulse frequency of 50 Hz. In addition, as the actuation voltage increases, the friction coefficient decreases, increasing the drag reduction rate. The maximum drag reduction of approximately 33.34% is achieved at an actuation voltage of 10 kV.

The k-means method is widely utilized for clustering. Its simplicity, efficacy, and swiftness make it a favored choice among clustering algorithms. It faces the challenge of sensitivity to the initial class center. The enhancement strategy for the k-means algorithm focuses on refining the initial selection of cluster centroids, no longer using its random selection of initial class center points, but starting from the entire dataset, choosing the most distant point to serve as the starting cluster centroid. This can also prevent the local optimization problem of the k-means algorithm. The improved algorithm proposed in this article is an effective method that can select the initial class center point from a global perspective and reduce computation time. The suggested approach has undergone rigorous testing and comparative analysis across multiple datasets, yielding commendable outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.

To delve into the characterization of growth disorders in different crops, it is important to support the model with a large amount of image data that includes a variety of disease types and disease levels to capture the typical and subtle differences of various diseases on plant leaves. However, the actual process of gathering data is challenging, sample coverage is challenging to accomplish, data capture is impeded, and the quality of the data is subpar. This work aims to address the issue of data shortages by employing technical methods. In particular, we creatively investigated the UAE-GAN approach, which naturally combines CycleGAN, U-Net, Variational Autoencoder VAE, and Autoencoder to increase the data. Among these, U-Net can precisely extract the small details of disease locations in crop photos and provide a strong basis for further processing thanks to its special codec architectural benefits. The Variational Autoencoder (VAE) significantly enhances the diversity of data by mapping the image to the latent space and sampling based on a certain probability distribution, so producing new image samples that are distinct from the original image yet inherently connected. Learning the coding and decoding of the original image is the foundation of autoencoders. If a mild disruption is introduced into the coding process, it can achieve data augmentation in another dimension and create a sequence of new images with just little modifications to the original image. The aforementioned models are closely linked with CycleGAN to efficiently map and convert in a variety of picture domains and to fully leverage CycleGAN's remarkable unsupervised image conversion capabilities.
