Black⁃box adversarial attacks with imperceptible fake user profiles for recommender systems

Attackers inject the designed adversarial sample into the target recommendation system to achieve illegal goals,seriously affecting the security and reliability of the recommendation *** is difficult for attackers to obtain detailed knowledge of the target model in actual scenarios,so using gradient optimization to generate adversarial samples in the local surrogate model has become an effective black‐box attack ***,these methods suffer from gradients falling into local minima,limiting the transferability of the adversarial *** reduces the attack's effectiveness and often ignores the imperceptibility of the generated adversarial *** address these challenges,we propose a novel attack algorithm called PGMRS‐KL that combines pre‐gradient‐guided momentum gradient optimization strategy and fake user generation constrained by Kullback‐Leibler ***,the algorithm combines the accumulated gradient direction with the previous step's gradient direction to iteratively update the adversarial *** uses KL loss to minimize the distribution distance between fake and real user data,achieving high transferability and imperceptibility of the adversarial *** results demonstrate the superiority of our approach over state‐of‐the‐art gradient‐based attack algorithms in terms of attack transferability and the generation of imperceptible fake user data.

A four-arm Archimedean spiral multi-mode OAM (Orbital Angular Momentum) antenna with bandwidth of 1.34GHz-9.53GHz is presented and analyzed. The bandwidth of traditional OAM antenna is dramatically improved by utilizing the self-complementarity between the arms of Archimede spiral. Comparing to the dual arm helical antenna, the vortex electromagnetic wave phase for the proposed scheme shows better continuity and purity, simultaneously more modes are realized. The reflector is arranged under the ground to make the antenna achieve unidirectional radiation characteristics and reduce backward radiation. The mode for l= 0, l= 1, l= 2 and mixed mode l= 1.2 are realized by controlling phase of the four different feed ports. Finally, the effects about the rotation radius for the Archimede spiral on the patterns with various arm width is investigated and discussed. The results are significant consistency with the design, and concurrently superb vortex characteristics are achieved in different modes. © 2022 IEEE.

An excellent frequency selective surface (FSS) with capacitance loading and multi-layer structure is proposed, primarily for application in the sub-6 and shielding. The proposed FSS has two different operational passbands to cover the frequencies located at 3.68 GHz and 5.85 GHz, respectively, which is also a multi-layered unit consisting of three metal layers and two dielectric layers. The unit size is 0.125λ, and the unit profile is 0.075λ, where λ corresponds to the resonance frequency of the first operating band. By adjusting the structural dimensions and parameters, the operating bands can be well-tuned. Simulation results demonstrate favorable polarization stability and angular stability, making it good for pulse shielding.

This paper proposes a Da-shaped slotted antenna, where the Chinese culture is integrated into the antenna design to achieve an artistic antenna that can be used in 5G communication system. The designed antenna has circular polarization characteristic, which is composed of ground plane, dielectric layer and metal sheet A engraved with Da-shaped slot, and a U-shaped wall (metal sheet B). A simple L-shaped feed probe is used to improve the working bandwidth of the antenna. A U-shaped metal sheet B is considered to improve antenna gain and axial ratio bandwidth. The simulation and optimization results show that the axial ratio bandwidth is 2.30-2.71GHz, and the impedance bandwidth is 2.44-2.7GHz, both of which can cover operating frequency in the range of 2.515-2.675GHz of 5G. © 2022 IEEE.

Based on the equivalent circuit model of PIN diode and the full wave simulation method of CST software, the system performance of finite large energy selective surface (ESS) is simulated and analyzed when the number of cells is small. The simulation results show that the working performance of ESS will be degraded by the slight surface deformation caused by external force but not fail completely. Therefore, in the practical application of ESS, attention should be paid to avoid deformation caused by external force extrusion, which will reduce the shielding performance of ESS. The simulation results provide reference value for the practical design and application of energy selective surface. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, an antenna for ultra-wideband multiple-input and multiple-output (UWB-MIMO) is designed. The design comprises two hexagonal monopole antennas. In order to achieve ultra-wideband characteristics and mitigate the coupling, a stepped microstrip line structure for impedance matching and T-shaped defective ground structure are employed, which optimizes the broadband characteristics and achieves high isolation characteristics. The antenna achieves a wide impedance bandwidth of 3.5 GHz to 13.9 GHz (relative bandwidth of 119%). Furthermore, the isolation between the two feed ports of the antenna exceeds 18 dB, the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) is less than 0.012, and it exhibits favorable radiation characteristics.

Community detection is essential for identifying cohesive groups in complex networks. Artificial benchmarks are critical for evaluating community detection algorithms, offering controlled environments with known community structures. However, existing benchmarks mainly focus on homogeneous networks and overlook the unique characteristics of heterogeneous networks. This paper proposes a novel artificial benchmark, called ABCD-HN (Artificial Network Benchmark for Community Detection on Heterogeneous Networks), for community detection in heterogeneous networks. This benchmark enables the generation of artificial heterogeneous networks with controllable community quantity, node quantity, and community complexity. Additionally, an evaluation framework for artificial heterogeneous networks is proposed to assess their effectiveness. Cognitive diagnosis models (CDMs) with high generalization are essential for intelligent education systems to reveal students' knowledge states in multiple datasets. However, existing CDMs' architectures are designed dependent on researcher expertise and experience from observing and summarizing partial students' learning behaviors, which makes handcrafted models not cover all learning behaviors well and thus limits their generalization. To develop generalized CDMs, this paper proposes an evolutionary neural architecture search to design CDMs' architectures effective on multiple datasets automatically. Specifically, we first formulate the search task as a multi-objective optimization problem (MOP), which maximizes model performance on multiple datasets containing learning behaviors as many as possible to ensure model generalization. Then, an expressive search space is devised to contain as many potential architectures as possible, where each architecture is denoted by a unified form, taking three given inputs and integrating them in a linear or no-linear manner for prediction. Finally, an evolutionary algorithm with a tailored deduplication strategy is employed to solve the MOP, where each architecture is further represented by a single-root computation tree for easy optimization. Experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate the generalization and effectiveness of the best architecture searched by the proposed approach, and the searched architecture also holds as good interpretability as handcrafted architectures.

Multimodal Graph Neural Network for Recommendation with Dynamic De-redundancy and Modality-Guided Feature De-noisy

Graph neural networks (GNNs) have become crucial in multimodal recommendation tasks because of their powerful ability to capture complex relationships between neighboring nodes. However, increasing the number of propagation layers in GNNs can lead to feature redundancy, which may negatively impact the overall recommendation performance. In addition, the existing recommendation task method directly maps the preprocessed multimodal features to the low-dimensional space, which will bring the noise unrelated to user preference, thus affecting the representation ability of the model. To tackle the aforementioned challenges, we propose Multimodal Graph Neural Network for Recommendation (MGNM) with Dynamic De-redundancy and Modality-Guided Feature De-noisy, which is divided into local and global interaction. Initially, in the local interaction process,we integrate a dynamic de-redundancy (DDR) loss function which is achieved by utilizing the product of the feature coefficient matrix and the feature matrix as a penalization factor. It reduces the feature redundancy effects of multimodal and behavioral features caused by the stacking of multiple GNN layers. Subsequently, in the global interaction process, we developed modality-guided global feature purifiers for each modality to alleviate the impact of modality noise. It is a two-fold guiding mechanism eliminating modality features that are irrelevant to user preferences and captures complex relationships within the modality. Experimental results demonstrate that MGNM achieves superior performance on multimodal information denoising and removal of redundant information compared to the state-of-the-art methods.
