Bound state in the continuum (BIC) is a dark mode with infinitely high quality factors(Q-factors), it has recently attracted considerable research attention in photonics. Here, we present a metasurface that can support two BICs, which consists of AlGaAs. By breaking the structural symmetry, the two BICs are transformed into quasi-bic modes because they are not protected by the symmetry. Furthermore, it is found that the two quasi-BICs resonate near the fundamental and the second harmonic respectively, which can be used to enhance efficiency of second harmonic generation. By exploiting the high Q characteristics of this structure at both frequencies, we can obtain a second harmonic generation efficiency of nearly 10-3 with 1GW/cm2of pump intensity. Our proposed metasurface will offer good prospects for nonlinear operation. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

Adding subtle perturbations to an image can cause the classification model to misclassify, and such images are called adversarial examples. Adversarial examples threaten the safe use of deep neural networks, but when combined with reversible data hiding(RDH) technology, they can protect images from being correctly identified by unauthorized models and recover the image lossless under authorized models. Based on this, the reversible adversarial example(RAE) is rising. However, existing RAE technology focuses on feasibility, attack success rate and image quality, but ignores transferability and time complexity. In this paper,we optimize the data hiding structure and combine data augmentation technology,which flips the input image in probability to avoid overfitting phenomenon on the dataset. On the premise of maintaining a high success rate of white-box attacks and the image's visual quality, the proposed method improves the transferability of reversible adversarial examples by approximately 16% and reduces the computational cost by approximately 43% compared to the state-of-the-art method. In addition, the appropriate flip probability can be selected for different application scenarios.

The random walk is one of the most basic dynamic properties of complex networks,which has gradually become a research hotspot in recent years due to its many applications in actual *** important characteristic of the random walk is the mean time to absorption,which plays an extremely important role in the study of topology,dynamics and practical application of complex *** the mean time to absorption on the regular iterative self-similar network models is an important way to explore the inﬂuence of self-similarity on the properties of random walks on the *** existing literatures have proved that even local self-similar structures can greatly affect the properties of random walks on the global network,but they have failed to prove whether these effects are related to the scale of these self-similar *** this article,we construct and study a class of Horizontal Par-titioned Sierpinski Gasket network model based on the classic Sierpinski gasket net-work,which is composed of local self-similar structures,and the scale of these structures will be controlled by the partition coefﬁcient ***,the analytical expressions and approximate expressions of the mean time to absorption on the network model are obtained,which prove that the size of the self-similar structure in the network will directly restrict the inﬂuence of the self-similar structure on the properties of random walks on the ***,we also analyzed the mean time to absorption of different absorption nodes on the network toﬁnd the location of the node with the highest absorption efﬁciency.

Disaggregated memory (DM) is a widely discussed datacenter architecture in academia and industry. It decouples computing and memory resources from monolithic servers into two network-connected resource pools. Range indexes are widely adopted by storage systems on DM to efficiently locate and query remote data. However, existing range indexes on DM suffer from either high computing-side cache consumption or high memory-side read amplifications. In this paper, we propose CHIME, a hybrid index combining B+ trees with hopscotch hashing, to achieve low cache consumption and low read amplifications simultaneously. There are three challenges in constructing CHIME on DM, i.e., the complicated optimistic synchronization, the extra metadata access, and the read amplifications introduced by hopscotch hashing. CHIME leverages 1) a three-level optimistic synchronization scheme to synchronize read and write operations with various granularities, 2) an access-aggregated metadata management technique to eliminate extra metadata accesses by piggybacking and replicating metadata, and 3) an effective hotness-aware speculative read mechanism to mitigate the read amplifications of hopscotch hashing. Experimental results show that CHIME outperforms the state-of-the-art range indexes on DM by up to 5.1× with the same cache size and achieves similar performance with up to 8.7× lower cache consumption. © 2024 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s). In this paper,we study the problem of extracting variable-depth"logical document hierarchy"from long documents,namely organizing the recognized"physical document objects"into hierarchical *** discovery of logical document hierarchy is the vital step to support many downstream applications(e.g.,passage-based retrieval and high-quality information extraction).However,long documents,containing hundreds or even thousands of pages and a variable-depth hierarchy,challenge the existing *** address these challenges,we develop a framework,namely Hierarchy Extraction from Long Document(HELD),where we"sequentially"insert each physical object at the proper position on the current *** whether each possible position is proper or not can be formulated as a binary classification *** further improve its effectiveness and efficiency,we study the design variants in HELD,including traversal orders of the insertion positions,heading extraction explicitly or implicitly,tolerance to insertion errors in predecessor steps,and so *** for evaluations,we find that previous studies ignore the error that the depth of a node is correct while its path to the root is *** such mistakes may worsen the downstream applications seriously,a new measure is developed for a more careful *** empirical experiments based on thousands of long documents from Chinese financial market,English financial market and English scientific publication show that the HELD model with the"root-to-leaf"traversal order and explicit heading extraction is the best choice to achieve the tradeoff between effectiveness and efficiency with the accuracy of 0.972,6,0.729,1 and 0.957,8 in the Chinese financial,English financial and arXiv datasets,***,we show that the logical document hierarchy can be employed to significantly improve the performance of the downstream passage retrieval *** summary,we conduct a systematic study on this task in terms of methods

This paper introduces a compact wideband 6 port multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna for the 5G handset. Each antenna elements uses coupling feed, and I-shaped grounding structure is added to the unit to obtain better impedance matching and enhance the isolation from nearby antenna units. The 5G MIMO antenna is designed with a F-type antenna to cover 3.685.27 GHz. The simulation results show that it has good impedance matching, bandwidth and isolation with extremely small ground clearance. © 2021 IEEE.

A compact Sub-6GHz multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna is presented in this paper. The recommended MIMO antenna is electrically small (38mm × 38 mm× 1.6 mm). For good isolation and miniaturized size, four antenna elements are deposed orthogonally to each other. Four isolated grounds are devised to diminish the surface wave coupling as well as each ground is etched with orthogonal symmetric stub to decrease the near field coupling. Simulation outcomes conform to the return loss requirement of superior to 10 dB and insertion loss superior to 16 dB over the entire 3.24-3.68 and 4.77-5.04 GHz bandwidths (covering Sub-6GHz band in China). © 2021 IEEE.

A novel millimeter wave sensing antenna array is proposed for application in miniature detection and sensing devices suitable for operating in multiple scenarios, e.g., collecting in the face of video and infrared, and other device materials in complex electromagnetic environments to achieve delightful sensing results. The proposed antenna array is designed to work at 30 GHz which is considered to integrate the optical devices and millimeter radar together by using a number of holes in the millimeter antenna array. Two different excitation modes are considered in the constructed design, where many holes are installed in the millimeter array, which aims to integrate the optical imaging cameras. In this design, the presented array serves as a radar to detect and get sensing results. Since the optical components are not metal and have a little effect on the performance of the antenna array, we use the holes to model the optical cameras to investigate the performance of the radiation patterns and impedance bandwidth.

Predicting the remaining useful life (RUL) of bearings is important for the secure running and reducing maintenance costs of rotating machinery. In this article, a novel feature extraction and RUL prediction framework of bearing is proposed by utilizing time-frequency representations (TFRs) and deep neural network with double attention (DA-DNN). Firstly, TFRs are employed to extract the degradation features associated with RUL prediction, which can effectively cope with the non-stationary properties of bearing vibration data. The reduced dimensional TFRs are then used as the DA-DNN model input. Afterwards, DA-DNN is developed by employing the double attention structure to extract the key degradation features more efficiently. The dual-attention structure has ability to capture the degradationrelated features from two aspects of channel attention and spatial attention, which enables the network to focus on high RUL-relevant information. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of DA-DNN, which shows higher performance in terms of prediction accuracy compared to other deep learning (DL) methods. © 2022 IEEE.
