However, with the acceleration of modernization and the increase of population mobility, the inheritance and protection of Waxiang dialect are facing severe challenges. By constructing the 'Xuewatong' APP- Waxiang dialect digital protection platform, based on cloud storage technology, digital resource display, multimedia integration and other technologies, and providing learning resources through big data analysis of user needs, it can effectively promote the digital recording and preservation of Waxiang dialect language resources, and significantly improve the dissemination and educational effect of Waxiang dialect culture, showing the great potential of digital technology in dialect protection. © 2024 IEEE.

As a tool for studying uncertain information, cloud model is of great significance in uncertain artificial intelligence and data mining. Among them, the backward cloud transformation method is one of the important algorithms of cloud model, which can realize the conversion from quantitative data to qualitative concepts. In this paper, a dynamic incremental backward cloud transformation algorithm is proposed to solve the problem that the estimated value of hyper entropy is imaginary when the backward cloud transformation method is used to calculate hyper entropy. First, according to the formation characteristics of cloud drops, the generated samples and the original samples are fused as new samples by dynamically and randomly generating samples, and then the hyper entropy is estimated until the estimated value of hyper entropy is real. Secondly, the stability and convergence of the algorithm proposed in this paper are analyzed through simulation experiments. The experimental results show that the new dynamic incremental backward cloud transformation algorithm solves the problem that the hyper entropy estimation value is imaginary while the estimation error is small and the stability is good. Finally, the algorithm is applied to brain CT segmentation, and the results show that the algorithm is effective and practical. © 2023 The authors and IOS Press.

With the rapid increase in circuit density in Very Large Scale Integration, the proportion of interconnect delay in circuit timing is also increasing. This makes the importance of layer assignment algorithms increasingly prominent in circuit design. However, most previous layer assignment algorithms prioritize optimizing timing exclusively from the perspective of interconnect delay, thereby disregarding the impact of slew violations on circuits. Therefore, this paper proposes a slew-driven layer assignment algorithm, which considers the timing of different routing layers and introduces non-default-rule wires to design a layer assignment algorithm that can significantly optimize delay, congestion, and slew violations. This algorithm mainly includes three key technologies: 1) Introducing non-default-rule wires technology to optimize timing and adopting a negotiation based approach to ensure that the final routing scheme does not have overflow;2) Proposing a slew prioritization strategy that comprehensively considers slew and interconnect delay during the routing process;3) Proposing a timing critical awareness strategy to further optimize the slew and interconnect delay without worsening the overflow. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has significant effects on optimizing delay and reducing slew violations. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Machine learning-driven multi-objective optimization for sustainable, cost-effective, and low-emission gold mining

This study suggests a hybrid machine learning (ML) and multi-objective optimization (MOO) methodology for improving decision-making in Australian gold mining operations. Traditional heuristics are poorly performing due to process variability, and therefore ML models namely the CatBoost regressor—were employed to predict with high accuracy the key performance indicators (KPIs) of ore processed, energy consumed, cost, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. CatBoost, optimized by the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), yielded satisfactory predictive performance with an R2 of 0.978, MAE of 3.361, and MAPE of 0.0745 in forecasting GHG emissions intensity. The hyperparameter-tuned CatBoost model was utilized as the objective function in a multi-objective optimization framework using the Constrained Two-Archive Evolutionary Algorithm (C-TAEA). Six bi-objective scenarios were examined on the basis of production-cost, production-energy, production-emissions, cost-energy, cost-emissions, and energy-emissions trade-offs. Among them, the energy consumption and emissions minimization scenario yielded the best hypervolume outcomes, representing Pareto-optimal solutions with high quality. Visualization techniques like parallel coordinate plots and hypervolume indicators were used to assess the trade-offs, and decision-making methods like TOPSIS and SPOTIS were used to select the best-balanced solution. The results confirm the effectiveness and scalability of the proposed hybrid approach, offering a sustainable pathway to optimize both economic and environmental performance in gold mining operations. The methodology offers a good framework for green mining processes, with ongoing research aimed at incorporating real-time responsiveness and additional environmental and economic variables to further improve process efficiency. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Hadoop MapReduce has been proven an effective computing model to deal with big data for the last few years. However, one technical challenge facing this framework is how to predict the execution time of an individual job. In this paper, we propose a regression-based method to predict the execution times of Hadoop jobs. The proposed prediction method consists of three phases: learning data sampling, regression analysis and making prediction. Experimental results show that the predicted execution time obtained by our method is close to the actual execution time. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

Face anti-spoofing based on multi-modal and multi-scale features fusion

Face anti-spoofing is used to assist face recognition system to judge whether the detected face is real face or fake face. In the traditional face anti-spoofing methods, features extracted by hand are used to describe the difference between living face and fraudulent face. But these handmade features do not apply to different variations in an unconstrained environment. The convolutional neural network(CNN) for face deceptions achieves considerable results. However, most existing neural network-based methods simply use neural networks to extract single-scale features from single-modal data, while ignoring multi-scale and multi-modal information. To address this problem, a novel face anti-spoofing method based on multi-modal and multi-scale features fusion(MMFF) is proposed. Specifically, first residual network(Resnet)-34 is adopted to extract features of different scales from each modality, then these features of different scales are fused by feature pyramid network(FPN), finally squeeze-and-excitation fusion(SEF) module and self-attention network(SAN) are combined to fuse features from different modalities for classification. Experiments on the CASIA-SURF dataset show that the new method based on MMFF achieves better performance compared with most existing methods.

At present, quality governance has become the internal demand of education reform and high-quality education system construction. First, this study analyzed the current research status and existing problems of early warning education in universities and colleges from the aspects of basic data, evaluation index, assessment method, and tool system application. Second, driven by learning situation big data analysis, this study puts forward a complete method system of risk assessment and early warning of learning situations, which consists of basic data collection and processing, index system construction and quantification, model construction and calculation, result expression and visualization, and a prototype information system was also realized by using modern software engineering and visualization technology. Finally, a specific course was taken as an example, and the application practice of learning situation risk assessment and early warning was carried out. The obtained results are very helpful to solve the problems of lagging early warning time, single evaluation factor, outdated technology and so on in traditional early warning education. It has reference significance for improving students' learning quality, teachers' teaching effect and early warning education management efficiency. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. In the application of RRT (Rapidly-exploring Random Trees) algorithm in obstacle avoidance path planning of redundant robot arms in high-dimensional space, the sampling area of random sampling points is large, the search time is long, the path twists and turns, and the redundant points are too many. In this paper, an efficient sampling RRT algorithm with adaptive step size and fast automatic convergence is proposed. Firstly, by adding the optimized gravity function, the step size of the extended tree is changed adaptively and the convergence is stronger. Secondly, the limited sampling of parent node area expansion is proposed to avoid useless point sampling and repeated point sampling, so that the utilization of sampling points is greatly improved. Finally, by changing the way of parent node reconnection and re-selection, the path tortuous degree is lower, the path planning cost and redundancy points are reduced, and MATLAB software is used to carry out the path planning simulation experiment. By comparing RRT, gravitational field RTT and RRT∗ algorithm, the improved RRT algorithm has significantly improved in distance, time and number of nodes. It has important engineering application value. © 2023 IEEE.
