CacheAlarm: Monitoring Sensitive Behaviors of Android Apps Using Cache Side Channel

Malware attack has been a serious threat to the security and privacy of both individual and corporation users of the Android platform. Business entities seek to protect themselves by means of monitoring privacy-related sensitive behaviors conducted on company-issued Android devices. However, due to Android's own access control and privacy protection policies, this is difficult to be done with third-party apps using only normal privileges. Existing works proposed using side-channel readings from leaky APIs and system virtual files to speculate runtime app behaviors, which could be unreliable due to future system updates (that ban exploited resources), hardware jittering, etc. In this paper, we argue that a more traditional side-channel attack strategy, namely the CPU-cache-based side channel, could be exploited in the benign scenario of app behavior surveillance. Specifically, we propose CacheAlarm, a sensitive app behavior monitor and foreground app identification system, which works by measuring cache side-channel readings of selected methods within the Android framework, and conducted in-lab and in-the-wild user studies to compare the effectiveness of our scheme against SideNet, a previous Android app behavior surveillance scheme using API-based side channels. Results of the studies suggested that CacheAlarm outperforms SideNet on the accuracy of detecting sensitive behaviors in addition to gaining the capability of detecting apps running at foreground of the user device. © 2025 IEEE. In addressing issues like an excessive number of network parameters and the loss of fine texture details in image super-resolution reconstruction approaches based on diffusion models, this passage introduces a novel image super-resolution model (FELSDiff). This model relies on the fusion of diffusion models, feature extraction, and latent space. FELSDiff utilizes a Pre-trained CNN for initial super-resolution to extract the primary low-band features and part high-band features of the image. The preliminary super-resolved image is then concatenated as a condition to this model. We introduce a cross-attention mechanism guided by the high-band features of the preliminary super-resolved image to enhance the network's feature extraction capability and obtain more effective features. In the U-Net structure, we incorporate a latent space strategy, enabling the model's training and inference processes to be conducted in the latent space, thereby reducing the number of network parameters. Experimental results on multiple standard datasets indicate that this method outperforms other advanced methods overall.

An Active Landing Recovery Method for Quadrotor UAV: Localization, Tracking and Buffering Landing

This paper proposes a principle of fully autonomous ground mobile landing recovery of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for the problems of relatively fixed landing point, passive recovery, poor flexibility, and environmental adaptability, which mainly includes localization, landing point tracking, and buffering landing for quadrotor UAV. Firstly, aiming at the problem that it is difficult to accurately obtain the position of a UAV in dynamic mobile landing recovery, a target location method based on Asynchronous Multisensor information Fusion(AMIF) and servo turntable focus tracking is proposed. Secondly, to achieve fast and high-precision tracking of UAVs, a tracking control strategy of an independently driven landing recovery system and a Stewart six-degree of freedom platform is proposed. Then, to solve the problems of large impact force and center of gravity instability in the landing process of UAV, a stationarity control algorithm based on model prediction and a compliance control algorithm based on adaptive variable impedance are designed to achieve active compliance control while adjusting the position and attitude of the receiving surface in real-time. Finally, a quadrotor unmanned landing and recovery experimental platform is built to verify the feasibility of the ground mobile landing and recovery strategy proposed in this paper and the effectiveness of the control algorithm.

In addition to the autonomous driving technology of single vehicles, the inter-group control algorithm serving the data sharing of multi-vehicle cooperative driving has also attracted widespread attention. To ensure secure communication, many encryption schemes have been proposed to protect the interaction data between vehicles. Nevertheless, traditional public key encryption schemes hinder the sharing of encrypted data. Based on the premise of ensuring the confidentiality of encrypted information, in order to facilitate efficient data sharing, conduct data searches across extensive cloud-based datasets, and authorize access under specified conditions, we introduce Fine-Grained Access Control with Privacy-Preserving Data Retrieval (FGAC-PPDR) for the Internet of Vehicles. This scheme offers a secure, flexible, and privacy-centric approach to data sharing for groups of vehicles in the IoV. Our proposed scheme enables encrypted data to be retrieved at the group level by the cloud server, and prevents vehicles outside the group from performing equality tests on the ciphertext. Furthermore, the data owner can create an authorization token with defined conditions to specify how the data is shared. During the process of data search and sharing, intensive computing tasks are undertaken by cloud servers with abundant computational resources. We also demonstrate that our scheme is secure against chosen ciphertext attacks (CCA). Finally, we provide security and performance analyses that verify the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposal. © 2025 IEEE.

Phthalate acid esters (PAEs), known food contaminants, can lead to reproductive problems, respiratory diseases, childhood obesity, and neuropsychological disorders. This work aims to develop an electrochemical aptamer sensor for the detection of DAP and its analogs. To achieve specific recognition ability for PAEs, We have introduced the thymidine-Hg2+-thymidine strategy for the first time in an electrochemical aptamer sensor, incorporating metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as the carrier for the aptamer. Additionally, nanoamplification technology was applied by immobilizing MXene on the electrode to intensify the sensor's current signal. In the presence of PAEs, these molecules specifically bound to the aptamers, resulting in competitive release of Hg2+ and aptamers connected to Hg2+, subsequently reducing current signaling. Under optimal experimental conditions, the designed sensor achieved a linear range from 1.65×10-5 mg/mL to 3×10-2 mg/ml and an extremely low detection limit of 8.94×10-6 mg/mL. Furthermore, it exhibited good reliability and practicality in detecting actual samples. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Blockchain and Trusted Reputation Assessment-Based Incentive Mechanism for Healthcare Services

Blockchain-based healthcare IoT technology research promotes increased security for smart healthcare services such as real-time monitoring and remote disease diagnosis. In a healthcare IoT service system, it remains a challenging problem to explore effective incentive mechanisms throughout the healthcare service process and feedback to facilitate the efficiency of the blockchain consensus process. In this paper, we propose a blockchain and trusted reputation assessment-based incentive mechanism for healthcare services (BtRaI). BtRaI provides a realistic and comprehensive reputation assessment with feedback to motivate blockchain consensus node participation, effectively defending against malicious behavior in the healthcare service system. Specifically, BtRaI first introduces multiple moderation factors for comprehensive multidimensional reputation assessment and stores the assessment results credibly on the blockchain. Then, we propose an improved PBFT algorithm based on the reputation assessment to enhance blockchain consensus efficiency. Finally, BtRaI designs a token reward and punishment mechanism to motivate all parties to participate in the blockchain honestly, inhibit potential misbehavior, and encourage the healthcare system to provide better service quality. Theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation demonstrate that BtRaI effectively suppresses malicious attacks in healthcare services, improves blockchain node failure tolerance rates, and achieves blockchain transaction processing efficiency within 0.5 seconds in a 100-node consortium chain. The reputation assessment and token incentive mechanism of BtRaI have a realistic differentiation granularity and change curve, making it suitable for dynamic and complex healthcare service scenarios. © 2023, The Authors. Transformer RGBT Tracking with Spatio-Temporal Multimodal Tokens

Many RGBT tracking researches primarily focus on modal fusion design, while overlooking the effective handling of target appearance changes. While some approaches have introduced historical frames or fuse and replace initial templates to incorporate temporal information, they have the risk of disrupting the original target appearance and accumulating errors over time. To alleviate these limitations, we propose a novel Transformer RGBT tracking approach, which mixes spatio-temporal multimodal tokens from the static multimodal templates and multimodal search regions in Transformer to handle target appearance changes, for robust RGBT tracking. We introduce independent dynamic template tokens to interact with the search region, embedding temporal information to address appearance changes, while also retaining the involvement of the initial static template tokens in the joint feature extraction process to ensure the preservation of the original reliable target appearance information that prevent deviations from the target appearance caused by traditional temporal updates. We also use attention mechanisms to enhance the target features of multimodal template tokens by incorporating supplementary modal cues, and make the multimodal search region tokens interact with multimodal dynamic template tokens via attention mechanisms, which facilitates the conveyance of multimodal-enhanced target change information. Our module is inserted into the transformer backbone network and inherits joint feature extraction, search-template matching, and cross-modal interaction. Extensive experiments on three RGBT benchmark datasets show that the proposed approach maintains competitive performance compared to other state-of-the-art tracking algorithms while running at 39.1 FPS. Federated learning-based model marketplaces have the potential to securely leverage healthcare data for efficient healthcare transactions. However, the willingness to participate in this marketplace is severely hindered by self-interested model sellers, who maximize their personal gains via distorting the quality of their models. To this end, we propose a rePutation-driven hierArchical inCentive mEchanism, called PACE, which combines contract cooperation and game pricing to motivate model sellers to be honest, thereby improving the sustainability of the model marketplace via two-layer cooperation. Specifically, at the training layer, we design a reward payment rule based on multidimensional contracts, while at the trading layer, we use a competitive market pricing game to develop the accuracy pricing rule. In particular, the above rules cleverly combine the fine-grained model sellers' reputations with the willingness of healthcare devices to indirectly affect the model sellers' utilities. Theoretically, we prove that PACE can effectively incentivize model sellers to truthfully report model quality while satisfying both individual rationality and incentive compatibility with a fairness guarantee. Experimental results conducted on four real-world datasets show that our PACE improves the global performance by up to 12.85% and reduces the global loss by at least 19.23% compared with the state-of-the-art baselines. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Hyperspectral image (HSI) classification is fundamental to numerous remote sensing applications, enabling detailed analysis of material properties and environmental conditions. Recent Mamba built upon selective state space models (SSMs) (S6) have demonstrated exceptional advantages in long-range sequence modeling with linear computational efficiency, while Transformer based on self-attention mechanisms is particularly adept at capturing short-range dependencies. To leverage the complementary strengths of these models, this article introduces a novel hybrid Mamba-Transformer framework (HSI-MFormer), effectively exploring the multiscale properties of hyperspectral data for HSI classification. Initially, a multiscale token generation (MTG) module is developed, which converts the HSI cube into multiple spatial-spectral token groups across different scales. To adequately capture fine-grained multiscale spatial-spectral patterns, an inner-scale transformer expert (ITE) is designed, which incorporates grouped self-attention operations to perform short-range sequence modeling within token groups at each scale. Meanwhile, a cross-scale Mamba expert (CME) is introduced, which integrates a cross-scale serialization mechanism and bidirectional Mamba block for long-range sequence modeling, further exploring the interactions and complementarity between token groups across different scales. Several hybrid strategies for integrating the ITE and CME are investigated to maximize their complementarity, including parallel, interval, and serial structures. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed HSI-MFormer significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art Transformer-based and Mamba-based HSI classification methods. © 1980-2012 IEEE.
