Brain tumors come in various types,each with distinct characteristics and treatment approaches,making manual detection a time-consuming and potentially ambiguous *** tumor detection is a valuable tool for gaining a deeper understanding of tumors and improving treatment *** learning models have become key players in automating brain tumor *** descent methods are the mainstream algorithms for solving machine learning *** this paper,we propose a novel distributed proximal stochastic gradient descent approach to solve the L_(1)-Smooth Support Vector Machine(SVM)classifier for brain tumor ***,the smooth hinge loss is introduced to be used as the loss function of *** avoids the issue of nondifferentiability at the zero point encountered by the traditional hinge loss function during gradient descent ***,the L_(1) regularization method is employed to sparsify features and enhance the robustness of the ***,adaptive proximal stochastic gradient descent(PGD)with momentum,and distributed adaptive PGDwithmomentum(DPGD)are proposed and applied to the L_(1)-Smooth *** computing is crucial in large-scale data analysis,with its value manifested in extending algorithms to distributed clusters,thus enabling more efficient processing ofmassive amounts of *** DPGD algorithm leverages Spark,enabling full utilization of the computer’s multi-core *** to its sparsity induced by L_(1) regularization on parameters,it exhibits significantly accelerated convergence *** the perspective of loss reduction,DPGD converges faster than *** experimental results show that adaptive PGD withmomentumand its variants have achieved cutting-edge accuracy and efficiency in brain tumor ***-trained models,both the PGD andDPGD outperform other models,boasting an accuracy of 95.21%.

UAV path planning based on an elite-guided orthogonal diagonalised krill herd algorithm

At present, obstacle avoidance and the shortest path to the destination are the main problems that need to be considered when the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) performs its mission. In this paper, an Elite-Guided Orthogonal Diagonalised Krill Herd (EODKH) algorithm is developed to solve the path planning problem of UAV in three-dimensional space with complex terrain. EODKH algorithm divides the krill population into two parts: one part is composed of elite krill, and the evolution of krill population is guided by the experience of elite krill with orthogonal diagonalisation, and the elite krill with higher rank can obtain greater ‘respect’ in the evolution procedure;the other part evolves according to the original krill herd method, so as to improve the convergence diversity of the whole krill herd. Experimental results show that EODKH is better than other krill herd algorithms in UAV path planning. Copyright © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

In this paper, an uncertain nonlinear switched system with V-n jumps, characterized by its sensitivity to subjective uncertainties, is modeled using uncertain differential equations with V-n jumps. To account for the discontinuous jump behavior in each subsystem, a V-n jumps process associated with an uncertain Z-n jumps variable, defined by a jump uncertainty distribution, is introduced. Under the assumptions of linear growth and Lipschitz conditions, an existence and uniqueness theorem for the solutions of uncertain nonlinear switched systems with V-n jumps is established and rigorously proven. An illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the theoretical results. © 2025, Politechnica University of Bucharest. All rights reserved.

Power systems serve as the fundamental infrastructure for the socioeconomic development of modern societies. Researching power systems can stimulate the growth of the power industry and contribute to the sustainable development of society. This paper aims to address uncertainties prevalent in power systems, including extreme weather events, disruptions in renewable energy supply, and adjustments in economic policies. To achieve this objective, an uncertain Nash equilibrium model is established. Subsequently, a game theoretic analysis is conducted to maximize the interests of users, grid companies, and proxy purchasers. Under the condition of not necessarily continuous differentiability, the Riemann-Stieltjes discrete approximation method has been proposed. The difficulty of calculating the expectation of the optimal revenue function has been resolved. Weak first-order equilibrium condition based on Clarke’s generalized gradient, the convergence and convergence rate of uncertain Nash equilibrium solutions are proved. © 2025, Politechnica University of Bucharest. The uncertain nonlinear switched system, characterized by its susceptibility to subjective uncertainties, can be described through uncertain differential equations. While investigations have covered mean stability, measure stability, and almost sure stability in the context of uncertain nonlinear switched systems, these forms of stability may not be suitable for every situation. This paper seeks to present the concept of stability in the p-th moment for nonlinear switched systems, offering it as an additional form of stability. The paper also introduces a stability theorem for uncertain nonlinear switched systems that exhibit stability in the p-th moment. Moreover, it explores the connections between stability in measure and stability in the p-th moment within the framework of uncertain nonlinear switched systems. UAV 3D Path Planning Based on Improved Chimp Optimization Algorithm

Aiming to address the limitations of the standard Chimp Optimization Algorithm(ChOA),such as inadequate search ability and susceptibility to local optima in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)path planning,this paper proposes a three-dimensional path planning method for UAVs based on the Improved Chimp Optimization Algorithm(IChOA).First,this paper models the terrain and obstacle environments spatially and formulates the total UAV flight cost function according to the constraints,transforming the path planning problem into an optimization problem with multiple ***,this paper enhances the diversity of the chimpanzee population by applying the Sine chaos mapping strategy and introduces a nonlinear convergence factor to improve the algorithm’s search accuracy and convergence ***,this paper proposes a dynamic adjustment strategy for the number of chimpanzee advance echelons,which effectively balances global exploration and local exploitation,significantly optimizing the algorithm’s search *** validate the effectiveness of the IChOA algorithm,this paper conducts experimental comparisons with eight different intelligent *** experimental results demonstrate that the IChOA outperforms the selected comparison algorithms in terms of practicality and robustness in UAV 3D path *** effectively solves the issues of efficiency in finding the shortest path and ensures high stability during execution.

Carbon emission reduction enabled by informatization construction: an analysis of spatial effects based on China’s experience

The "dual-carbon" objective presents a huge challenge for China and the world, with profound implications for the advancement of China’s eco-friendly economy. Additionally, informatization development has a significant impact on the level of carbon emissions in both local and neighbouring regions. Therefore, we employ panel data from 30 provinces in China spanning the years 2012 to 2021, and use the Kernel density estimate and Moran’s index to explore informatization level and carbon emissions space agglomeration characteristics. We elucidate the nonlinear relationship and heterogeneity between informatization improvement and carbon emissions based on the spatial Durbin model. The primary findings are as follows. Firstly, we discover a distinct spatial clustering phenomenon which the informatization level is high in coastal areas and low in inland areas, whereas carbon emissions are low in the south and high in the north. Secondly, the effect of the informatization level on carbon emissions is shown as a U-shaped and non-linear correlation, signifying inhibitory and subsequently promoting phases. Thirdly, we reveal the negative influence on carbon emissions caused by spatial lag terms of the informatization level, and find that a higher local informatization level will have an inhibitory effect on carbon emissions in neighbouring areas. Finally, there is a spatial heterogeneity in the impact of the informatization level on carbon emissions, which presents the U-shaped relation between informatization level and carbon emissions varies across the North-South subregion and the three major economic subregion of China. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Accurately estimating the State of Health(SOH)and Remaining Useful Life(RUL)of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is crucial for the continuous and stable operation of battery management ***,due to the complex internal chemical systems of LIBs and the nonlinear degradation of their performance,direct measurement of SOH and RUL is *** address these issues,the Twin Support Vector Machine(TWSVM)method is proposed to predict SOH and ***,the constant current charging time of the lithium battery is extracted as a health indicator(HI),decomposed using Variational Modal Decomposition(VMD),and feature correlations are computed using Importance of Random Forest Features(RF)to maximize the extraction of critical factors influencing battery performance ***,to enhance the global search capability of the Convolution Optimization Algorithm(COA),improvements are made using Good Point Set theory and the Differential Evolution *** Improved Convolution Optimization Algorithm(ICOA)is employed to optimize TWSVM parameters for constructing SOH and RUL prediction ***,the proposed models are validated using NASA and CALCE lithium-ion battery *** results demonstrate that the proposed models achieve an RMSE not exceeding 0.007 and an MAPE not exceeding 0.0082 for SOH and RUL prediction,with a relative error in RUL prediction within the range of[-1.8%,2%].Compared to other models,the proposed model not only exhibits superior fitting capability but also demonstrates robust performance.

Visual Commonsense Reasoning (VCR) is a challenging task that requires a model to select the correct answer in the context of a given image and question, while also providing a reasonable explanation to justify the chosen answer. In this paper, we propose a novel dual-branch attention network model that effectively models dense intra-modal and inter-modal interactions. Our model utilizes a self-attention mechanism to attend to visual and textual information independently, while employing a bidirectional guided attention mechanism to facilitate effective interaction between different modalities, thus correlating visual information with textual information. By stacking multiple dual-branch attention modules (DBAs), our model is capable of deeply exploring data features and extracting more powerful and informative prior features. By achieving a common focus on visual and textual information, we enhance the subtlety of our understanding and significantly improve our ability to perform visual reasoning. Our comprehensive and qualitative assessments on the public VCR dataset illustrate that our methodology surpasses most models, providing a new solution for Visual Commonsense Reasoning tasks. © 2024 IEEE.
