In the acoustic localization of mass projectiles, due to the large number of mass projectiles and short firing time, the traditional algorithm has some problems, such as waveform superposition and the order of explosion arrival at the sensor is not easy to distinguish. In order to solve this problem, an acoustic location method for burst point of mass projectile based on nonparametric estimation was proposed. The distribution of explosion probability function was calculated based on the measured acoustic waveform and regional explosion energy function. Then, the actual explosion point coordinates were obtained according to the extreme value. This method does not need to estimate the arrival time and arrival angle parameters, solves the problem that the order of arrival time is not easy to distinguish. Simulation and field tests show that the algorithm can effectively deal with 1∼32 projectiles fired in 2s, and solve the problem of explosion point location in the process of group gun surface attack exercise training and combat test. © 2023 IEEE.

Diseases in tea trees can result in significant losses in both the quality and quantity of tea *** monitoring can help to prevent the occurrence of large-scale diseases in tea ***,existingmethods face challenges such as a high number of parameters and low recognition accuracy,which hinders their application in tea plantation monitoring *** paper presents a lightweight I-MobileNetV2 model for identifying diseases in tea leaves,to address these *** proposed method first embeds a Coordinate Attention(CA)module into the originalMobileNetV2 network,enabling the model to locate disease regions ***,a Multi-branch Parallel Convolution(MPC)module is employed to extract disease features across multiple scales,improving themodel’s adaptability to different disease ***,the AutoML for Model Compression(AMC)is used to compress themodel and reduce computational *** results indicate that our proposed algorithm attains an average accuracy of 96.12%on our self-built tea leaf disease dataset,surpassing the original MobileNetV2 by 1.91%.Furthermore,the number of model parameters have been reduced by 40%,making itmore suitable for practical application in tea plantation environments.

Cell association is a significant research issue in future mobile communication systems due to the unacceptably large computational time of traditional *** article proposes a polynomial-time cell association scheme which not only completes the association in polynomial time but also fits for a generic optimization objective *** the one hand,traditional cell association as a non-deterministic polynomial(NP)hard problem with a generic utility function is heuristically transformed into a 2-dimensional assignment optimization and solved by a certain polynomial-time algorithm,which significantly saves computational *** the other hand,the scheme jointly considers utility maximization and load balancing among multiple base stations(BSs)by maintaining an experience pool storing a set of weighting factor values and their corresponding *** an association optimization is required,a suitable weighting factor value is taken from the pool to calculate a long square utility matrix and a certain polynomial-time algorithm will be applied for the *** with several representative schemes,the proposed scheme achieves large system capacity and high fairness within a relatively short computational time.

Task scheduling has a significant impact on the resource availability and operation cost of the system in cloud computing. In order to improve the efficiency of task execution in the cloud for a given computational resource, the improved whale optimization algorithm is applied to the multi-objective optimization model for cloud task scheduling. Specifically, the quasi-opposition-based learning strategy is added in the initiation phase to increase the diversity of the population. Meanwhile, a novel nonlinear convergence factor was introduced to augment the local search capability. Experimental results indicate that the improved whale optimization algorithm converges faster and searches with higher precision in finding the optimal task scheduling solution compared to existing meta-heuristic algorithms. In addition, the modified algorithm achieves superior system resource usage when dealing with both small and large tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

Spatiotemporal deformation analysis of glaciers and surrounding landscapes in the Shishapangma region using InSAR techniques

Glacier dynamics in the Himalayan midlatitudes,particularly in regions like the Shishapangma,are not yet fully understood,especially the localized topographic and climatic impacts on glacier *** study analyzes the spatiotemporal characteristics of glacier surface deformation in the Shishapangma region using the Small Baseline Subset(SBAS)Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(In SAR)*** analysis reveals an average deformation rate of-4.02±17.65 mm/yr across the entire study area,with glacier regions exhibiting significantly higher rates of uplift(16.87±13.20 mm/yr)and subsidence(20.11±14.55 mm/yr)compared to non-glacier *** identifies significant surface lowering on the mountain flanks and localized uplift in certain catchments,emphasizing the higher deformation rates in glacial areas compared to non-glacial *** found a strong positive correlation between temperature and cumulative deformation(correlation coefficient of 0.63),particularly in glacier areas(0.82).The research highlights the role of temperature as the primary driver of glacier wastage,particularly at lower elevations,with strong correlations found between temperature and cumulative *** also indicates the complex interactions between topographic features,notably,slope gradient,which shows a positive correlation with subsidence rates,especially for slopes below 35°.South-,southwest-,and west-facing slopes exhibit significant uplift,while north-,northeast-,and east-facing slopes predominantly ***,we identified transition zones between debris-covered glaciers and clean ice as areas of most intense deformation,with average rates exceeding 30 mm/yr,highlighting these as potential high-risk zones for *** study comprehensively analyzes the deformation characteristics in both glacier and non-glacier areas in the Shishapangma region,revealing the complex interplay of topographic,climatic,and hydrological factors influencing glacier dynamic

Within the thriving e-commerce landscape,some unscrupulous merchants hire spammer groups to post misleading reviews or ratings,aiming to manipulate public perception and disrupt fair market *** phenomenon has prompted a heightened research focus on spammer groups *** the e-commerce domain,current spammer group detection algorithms can be classified into three categories,i.e.,Frequent Item Mining-based,graph-based,and burst-based ***,existing graph-based algorithms have limitations in that they did not adequately consider the redundant relationships within co-review graphs and neglected to detect overlapping members within spammer *** address these issues,we introduce an overlapping spammer group detection algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning named ***,the algorithm filters out highly suspicious products and gets the set of reviewers who have reviewed these ***,taking these reviewers as nodes and their co-reviewing relationships as edges,we construct a homogeneous co-reviewing ***,to efficiently identify and handle the redundant relationships that are accidentally formed between ordinary users and spammer group members,we propose the Auto-Sim algorithm,which is a specifically tailored algorithm for dynamic optimization of the co-reviewing graph,allowing for adjustments to the reviewers’relationship network within the ***,candidate spammer groups are discovered by using the Ego-Splitting overlapping clustering algorithm,allowing overlapping members to exist in these ***,these groups are refined and ranked to derive the final list of spammer *** results based on real-life datasets show that our proposed DRL-OSG algorithm performs better than the baseline algorithms in Precision.

Efficient protocols for heavy hitter identification with local differential privacy

Local differential privacy(LDP),which is a technique that employs unbiased statistical estimations instead of real data,is usually adopted in data collection,as it can protect every user’s privacy and prevent the leakage of sensitive *** segment pairs method(SPM),multiple-channel method(MCM)and prefix extending method(PEM)are three known LDP protocols for heavy hitter identification as well as the frequency oracle(FO)problem with large ***,the low scalability of these three LDP algorithms often limits their ***,communication and computation strongly affect their ***,excessive grouping or sharing of privacy budgets makes the results *** address the abovementioned problems,this study proposes independent channel(IC)and mixed independent channel(MIC),which are efficient LDP protocols for FO with a large *** design a flexible method for splitting a large domain to reduce the number of ***,we employ the false positive rate with interaction to obtain an accurate *** experiments demonstrate that IC outperforms all the existing solutions under the same privacy guarantee while MIC performs well under a small privacy budget with the lowest communication cost.

The lack of facial features caused by wearing masks degrades the performance of facial recognition *** occluded face recognition methods cannot integrate the computational resources of the edge layer and the device ***,previous research fails to consider the facial characteristics including occluded and unoccluded *** solve the above problems,we put forward a device-edge collaborative occluded face recognition method based on cross-domain feature ***,the device-edge collaborative face recognition architecture gets the utmost out of maximizes device and edge resources for real-time occluded face ***,a cross-domain facial feature fusion method is presented which combines both the explicit domain and the implicit domain ***,a delay-optimized edge recognition task scheduling method is developed that comprehensively considers the task load,computational power,bandwidth,and delay tolerance constraints of the *** method can dynamically schedule face recognition tasks and minimize recognition delay while ensuring recognition *** experimental results show that the proposed method achieves an average gain of about 21%in recognition latency,while the accuracy of the face recognition task is basically the same compared to the baseline method.

Improving Parameter Estimation and Defensive Ability of Latent Dirichlet Allocation Model Training Under Rényi Differential Privacy

Latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA)is a topic model widely used for discovering hidden semantics in massive text *** Gibbs sampling(CGS),as a widely-used algorithm for learning the parameters of LDA,has the risk of privacy ***,word count statistics and updates of latent topics in CGS,which are essential for parameter estimation,could be employed by adversaries to conduct effective membership inference attacks(MIAs).Till now,there are two kinds of methods exploited in CGS to defend against MIAs:adding noise to word count statistics and utilizing inherent *** two kinds of methods have their respective *** sampled from the Laplacian distribution sometimes produces negative word count statistics,which render terrible parameter estimation in *** inherent privacy could only provide weak guaranteed privacy when defending against *** is promising to propose an effective framework to obtain accurate parameter estimations with guaranteed differential *** key issue of obtaining accurate parameter estimations when introducing differential privacy in CGS is making good use of the privacy budget such that a precise noise scale is *** is the first time that R′enyi differential privacy(RDP)has been introduced into CGS and we propose RDP-LDA,an effective framework for analyzing the privacy loss of any differentially private ***-LDA could be used to derive a tighter upper bound of privacy loss than the overestimated results of existing differentially private CGS obtained byε-*** RDP-LDA,we propose a novel truncated-Gaussian mechanism that keeps word count statistics *** we propose distribution perturbation which could provide more rigorous guaranteed privacy than utilizing inherent *** validate that our proposed methods produce more accurate parameter estimation under the JS-divergence metric and obtain lower precision and recall when defending against MIAs.
