Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)plays an important role in medical diagnosis,generating petabytes of image data annually in large *** voluminous data stream requires a significant amount of network bandwidth and extensive storage ***,local data processing demands substantial manpower and hardware *** isolation across different healthcare institutions hinders crossinstitutional collaboration in clinics and *** this work,we anticipate an innovative MRI system and its four generations that integrate emerging distributed cloud computing,6G bandwidth,edge computing,federated learning,and blockchain *** system is called Cloud-MRI,aiming at solving the problems of MRI data storage security,transmission speed,artificial intelligence(AI)algorithm maintenance,hardware upgrading,and collaborative *** workflow commences with the transformation of k-space raw data into the standardized Imaging Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine Raw data(ISMRMRD)***,the data are uploaded to the cloud or edge nodes for fast image reconstruction,neural network training,and automatic ***,the outcomes are seamlessly transmitted to clinics or research institutes for diagnosis and other *** Cloud-MRI system will save the raw imaging data,reduce the risk of data loss,facilitate inter-institutional medical collaboration,and finally improve diagnostic accuracy and work efficiency.

Self-Q-switching facilitates the generation of pulsed lasers without resorting to conventional Q-switched techniques, while there has been limited research and theoretical development in this area. In this paper, we introduce an interference-based self-Q-switching phenomenon and conduct a comprehensive numerical analysis. Our findings reveal distinct properties when compared to traditional Q-switching, underscoring the role of interferometers. Through a combination of experimental measurements and waveguide simulations, we propose a self-Q-switching mechanism based on jitter-induced filtering. This mechanism aligns well with our experimental observations and provides an explanation from the perspective of the frequency domain. This research contributes to the understanding of self-Q-switching theory and its excitation.

The recent rise of conversational applications such as online customer service systems and intelligent personal assistants has promoted the development of conversational knowledge base question answering (ConvKBQA). Different from the traditional single-turn KBQA, ConvKBQA usually explores multi-turn questions around a topic, where ellipsis and coreference pose great challenges to the single-turn KBQA systems which require self-contained questions. In this paper, we propose a rewrite- and-reason framework to first produce a full-fledged rewritten question based on the conversation history and then reason the answer by existing single-turn KBQA models. To overcome the absence of the rewritten supervision signals, we introduce a knowledge-augmented self-training mechanism to transfer the question rewriter from another dataset to adapt to the current knowledge base. Our question rewriter is decoupled from the subsequent QA process, which makes it easy to be united with either retrieval-based or semantic parsing-based KBQA models. Experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method and a new state-of-the-art result is achieved. The code and dataset are available online now. © 2022 Association for Computational Linguistics.

The security of commercial encryption algorithms has always been a focus of attention. The SM4 algorithm, a commercial cryptographic standard, has been recognized by ISO/IEC as an international standard and has shown excellent performance on classical computers. However, with the development of quantum computing, traditional encryption algorithms are facing new challenges. This paper investigates the quantum realization of SM4 algorithm. By applying the Grover algorithm to the SM4 algorithm, we conducted a quantum exhaustive attack and provided an estimation of the required quantum resources. This study offers a novel perspective on the application of quantum computing in breaking commercial encryption algorithms, which holds significant implications for the future development of quantum secure communication and cryptography. © 2024 SPIE.

MBFusion: Multi-modal balanced fusion and multi-task learning for cancer diagnosis and prognosis

Pathological images and molecular omics are important information for predicting diagnosis and prognosis. The two kinds of heterogeneous modal data contain complementary information, and the effective fusion of the two modals can better reveal the complex mechanisms of cancer. However, due to the different representation learning methods, the expression strength of different modals in different tasks varies greatly, so that many multimodal fusions do not achieve the best results. In this paper, MBFusion is proposed, to achieve multiple tasks such as prediction of diagnosis and prognosis through multi-modal balanced fusion. The MBFusion framework uses two kinds of specially constructed graph convolutional network to extract the features of molecular omics data, and uses ResNet to extract the features of pathological image data and retain important deep features by using attention and clustering, which effectively improves both kinds of the features representation, making their expressive ability balanced and comparable. The features of these two modal data are then fused through cross-attention Transformer, and the fused features are used to learn both tasks of cancer subtype classification and survival analysis by using multi-task learning. In this paper, MBFusion and other state of the art methods are compared on two public cancer datasets, and MBFusion shows an improvement of up to 10.1% by three kinds of evaluation metrics. In the ablation experiment, MBFusion explores the contribution of each modal data and each framework module to the performance. Furthermore, the interpretability of MBFusion is explained in detail to show the value of application. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

Modeling various types of users’ interactions and jointly considering individual preferences from multiple perspectives, multi-behavior recommendation has attracted increasing attention recently. However, most existing multi-behavior recommendations only focus on the behavioral interaction itself, attempting to extract user preferences merely by modeling behaviors, while ignoring the properties of the interaction (e.g., the temporal information). Meanwhile, the introduction of multi-behavior information is bound to generate additional noise signals, which further affects the accuracy of recommendation. Thus, to tackle the above challenges, two aspects need to be explored: (1) How to fuse interaction attributes to construct unified cross-behavior dependencies while distinguishing subtle differences between individuals’ behaviors. (2) How to mitigate the effects of noise to a certain extent while preserving multi-behavioral information. In this work, we propose a Temporal-Aware Multi-Behavior Contrastive Learning (TMCL) framework to explore the patterns of multiple behaviors of individuals through temporal information, jointly capture the correlation of users’ preference evolution, and alleviate the impact of multi-behavior noise. Extensive experiments and ablation tests on the three datasets indicate our TMCL outperforms various state-of-the-art methods and verify the effectiveness of our model. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Dynamic graphs are ubiquitous in our lives, yet they are also susceptible to the risks imposed by malicious activities. However, identifying anomalies in these dynamic graphs presents a challenging task due to the complex graph structures. Existing methods for dynamic anomaly detection primarily focus on learning representations for each timestamp and using sequence modeling techniques to capture and model the temporal information. Despite extensive research, dynamic anomaly detection still faces two key challenges. First, existing methods are limited in effectively using fine-grained temporal information. Second, they have limited generalization capabilities under unsupervised settings. Overcoming these challenges is crucial for advances in dynamic anomaly detection. In this paper, we propose a novel unsupervised anomaly detection method for dynamic graphs. Our approach leverages complex temporal information through fine-grained sampling and embedding modules. Additionally, we introduce an attention alignment strategy to minimize discrepancies in contextual attention between source and target nodes. Through a comprehensive evaluation, we demonstrate that our strategy effectively mitigates overfitting and improves generalization. Experiments on ten dynamic graph datasets validate the effectiveness of our proposed method in detecting anomalies.

Edge computing is regarded as an extension of cloud computing that brings computing and storage resources to the network edge. For some Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications such as supply-chain supervision and collaboration, Internet of Vehicles, real-time video analysis and so forth, users should be authenticated before visiting the geographically distributed edge servers. Limited by the considerable latency between the cloud and edge servers, and the limited capacity of edge servers, it is infeasible to copy the authentication method from cloud servers when users are authenticated in edge servers. In view of this challenge, this paper proposes a novel token-based authentication scheme, named EdgeAuth, that enables fast edge user authentication through collaboration among cloud servers and edge servers. Under the EdgeAuth scheme, edge servers can rapidly verify the credentials of users who have been authenticated by the cloud server. EdgeAuth can also protect users from a series of authentication attacks, for example, the replay attack, DoS attack and man-in-the-middle attack. The results of experiments conducted on a simulated edge computing environment validate the usefulness of EdgeAuth through a comparison in latency and throughput against two baseline schemes. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.
