End-to-end multi-task reinforcement learning-based UAV swarm communication attack detection and area coverage

This paper proposes an innovative end-to-end multi-task reinforcement learning framework designed to enhance the security and operational stability of UAVs in complex communication attacks environments. In scenarios involving multiple UAV coverage, the framework classifies attack types and predicts UAV behaviors, which enables rapid response and compromised data recovery. First, a spatiotemporal attention mechanism is employed to strengthen the network by capturing temporal dependencies in the communication data and improving the recognition of hybird attack mode, thereby facilitating the integration of detection and repair. Second, the causal inference mechanism introduced in this study extracts true causal relationships from interference, which ensures the accuracy and stability of action predictions for area coverage under attack conditions. Finally, the entire process is modeled as a multi-task Markov decision process, optimizing overall decision-making efficiency. Additionally, the dynamic pheromone induction mechanism is proposed to realize the adaptive regional cooperative coverage of multiple UAVs. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively detect hybrid attacks and predict UAV actions, protecting the multi-UAV cooperative area coverage. © 2025

Over the past century,ferroelectricity has offered exciting opportunities for fundamental research and device ***,most of the discovered excellent ferroelectrics are oxide materials with large band gaps,limiting their potential for optoelectronics *** using first-principles calculations we identify a new narrow-gap ferroelectric beyond oxides,i.e.,ferroelectric perovskite sulphide BaZrS_(3).Under large compressive strains,BaZrS_(3)can be stabilized into a unique supertetragonal phase with an extraordinary polarization of 67.16μC/cm^(2),which is even stronger than that of conventional oxide ***,the supertetragonal BaZrS_(3)exhibits a direct narrow band gap of 1.2 eV and excellent electronic *** on the chemical bonding analysis,we attribute the formation of supertetragonal phase to charge re-ordering in which theπbond overlap along the long〈Zr-S〉bond completely vanishes and the antibonding states of theσbond appear below the Fermi *** work provides a conceptual strategy for designing new ferroelectrics for electronic and photovoltaic applications.

This paper focuses on the design of an initialization-free distributed finite-time algorithm for the economic dispatch problem in smart grid, where the generation units only communicate with its neighbors to minimize the total cost cooperatively. Firstly, the optimal solution of the economic dispatch problem is analyzed in accordance with the saddle-point dynamics. Then, an initialization-free finite-time algorithm is presented to guarantee the active power generation and the incremental cost converge to the optimal solution in a distributed manner. A new kind of group coordination control problemgroup hybrid coordination control is investigated in this *** group hybrid coordination control means that in a whole multi-agent system(MAS)that consists of two subgroups with communications between them,agents in the two subgroups achieve consensus and containment,*** MASs with both time-delays and additive noises,two group control protocols are proposed to solve this problem for the containment-oriented case and consensus-oriented case,*** developing a new analysis idea,some sufficient conditions and necessary conditions related to the communication intensity betw een the two subgroups are obtained for the following two types of group hybrid coordination behavior:1)Agents in one subgroup and in another subgroup achieve weak consensus and containment,respectively;2)Agents in one subgroup and in another subgroup achieve strong consensus and containment,*** is revealed that the decay of the communication impact betw een the two subgroups is necessary for the consensus-oriented ***,the validity of the group control results is verified by several simulation examples.

Change Detection is a classic and fundamental task in remote sensing(RS), and has accomplish remarkable achievement on bitemporal image based methods. However, bitemporal images are very expensive and needs professional researchers to align and label the paired images. Furthermore, most bitemporal image based methods are only semantic-aware not instance-aware, which indicates these methods only use paired images' semantic information. Thus, we propose a method that only needs unpaired RS images with semantic labels. In this paper, we introduce multi-task learning into change detection progress, which comprises four major parts: Boundary-Aware Module, Contextual-Aware Module, Segmentation Module, Change Detection Module. At first, we construct Boundary-Aware Module and Contextual-Aware Module to extract sharp boundary and dense contextual features. Then we feed the feature maps to Change Detection Module and Segmentation Module to accomplish the subtasks. The comprehensive experiments on a single temporal image dataset demonstrate the efficiency of our approach over other bitemporal image based methods, and the experimental results shows our approach is competitive with other methods while all methods was trained on bitemporal image dataset. © 2023 ACM.

In industrial manufacturing,the deployment of dual-arm robots in assembly tasks has become a ***,making the dual-arm robots more intelligent in such applications is still an open,challenging *** paper proposes a novel framework that combines task-oriented motion planning with visual perception to facilitate robot deployment from perception to execution and finish assembly problems by using dual-arm *** this framework,visual perception is first employed to track the effects of the robot behaviors and observe states of the workpieces,where the performance of tasks can be abstracted as a high-level state for intelligent *** assembly task and manipulation sequences can be obtained by analyzing and reasoning the state transition trajectory of the environment as well as the ***,the corresponding assembly manipulation can be generated and parameterized according to the differences between adjacent states by combining with the prebuilt knowledge of the *** are set up with a dual-arm robotic system(ABB YuMi and an RGB-D camera)to validate the proposed *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework and the promising value of its practical application.

First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere and deep thanks to our Editor-in-Chief, Professor Meng Chu Zhou, who took over my position after I was drafted for rejuvenating IEEE Transactions on Computational Social systems in 2017. During the past five years, Meng Chu’s professional leadership and dedication has transformed IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica(JAS) from its infancy to a young and high-impact publication in the world that is full of vitality and actively engaged by a group of talented and charged associate Ei Cs and editors, which is clearly demonstrated in Meng Chu’s farewell editorial [1]. I am very glad that Professor Qing-Long Han, an influential and leading scientist of the world-class in AI, control, automation, and intelligent science and technology from Australia, as well as a staunch supporter and great leader of this journal from its beginning, will take over the Ei C torch from Meng Chu next year, since I am extremely confident that our journal will reach a new high for its service and quality under his new leadership.

Group consensus of multi-agent systems with additive noises

This paper is concerned with group consensus of multi-agent systems(MASs) that consist of two groups in additive noise environments. First, a control protocol is proposed based on the state information of each agent's neighbors corrupted by additive noises. Second, some sufficient conditions and necessary conditions are obtained for the following two types of group consensus behaviors.(1) Pure group consensus:agents in both groups have the same behavior(weak consensus or strong consensus);(2) hybrid group consensus: agents in different groups achieve different consensus behaviors. It is revealed that the influence between the two groups should be attenuated such that the MASs can achieve group consensus in additive noise environments, i.e., the affected group must fight against the influence that comes from another ***, some simulation examples are given to illustrate the feasibility of the theoretical results.

Tailored energy absorption for a novel auxetic honeycomb structure under large deformation

In comparison to conventional hexagonal honeycomb structures,auxetic metamaterials with re-entrant configurations have exhibited superior mechanical properties in terms of energy *** further enhance the energy absorption capacity of these materials,a novel re-entrant honeycomb configuration,named novel auxetic re-entrant honeycomb(NARH),is developed by incorporating“<>”-shaped cell walls into the conventional auxetic re-entrant honeycomb(ARH).Two analytical models for the plateau stress are formulated to consider the plastic deformation of NARH during quasi-static compression and the dynamic impact using the linear momentum ***-static compression tests on 3D printed NARH honeycomb specimens and finite element simulations are performed to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical *** exhibits higher plateau stresses compared with ARH during compression,which can be attributed to the presence of more plastic hinges formed in *** hinges,the embedded parts with inclined cell walls,not only improve stability by forming stable triangles during compression but also enhance the energy absorption capacity.A parametric study is conducted to analyze the effect of impact velocity,thickness,and incline angle of cell walls on *** simulations demonstrate higher sensitivity of the mechanical properties to impact velocity and cell wall *** ribs to the“<>”-shaped cell walls in NARH further reduces the initial peak force during dynamic crushing while maintaining high energy *** research provides valuable guidelines for the design of energy absorption metamaterials.

In structured light systems, the accuracy of measurement notably diminishes when assessing complex texture objects, especially encountering boundaries between various colors. To address this challenge, this paper meticulously analyzes and establishes an error model, elaborating the correlation between phase errors and the gradients of phase and grayscale. Based on this analysis, a novel high-precision method is proposed for measuring complex texture objects via bidirectional fringe projection. This approach firstly leverages horizontal and vertical fringe projections to derive bidirectional phase information and calculates the angles between the tangent of the texture edges and the phase gradient. Subsequently, a refined temporal phase correction algorithm is formulated based on the epipolar matching algorithm and the devised error model, effectively reducing errors caused by complex textures. Ultimately, corrected point clouds are calculated based on bidirectional phases, and the obtained point clouds are merged to further diminish phase errors. Comparison experiments indicate that this method can reduce Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) by 65.74% and 67.75%, respectively. Compared to existing methods, it improves performance by 27.29% and 33.74%, respectively, demonstrating superior performance.
