Transient stability of a MicroGrid in which the micro sources using the peer-to-peer and master-slave control was investigated. The P-f and Q-V droop control was used for micro sources 1 and 2. And the PQ control was used for micro source 3. The impacts of motor load on the transient stability of the MicroGrid were shown when the motor load starts, load power changes and a three-phase faults happens. And the power sharing between each micro sources and the main frequency supporting are achieved. simulation results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

Cascaded H-Bridge rectifier (CHBR) is a more attractive solution in traction application for its transformerless structure. Because of the currents of different cells are exactly the same one, it is a challenge job to regulate the voltages of cells with only one current controller. In this paper, a PI-based control scheme is presented to deal with the voltages balance issue in CHBR. To satisfy the demand of rectifier such as unity power factor and regulated output DC voltages, the proposed control scheme consists of two parts. One is for shaping the grid current waveform and regulating the sum of DC-link voltages of all the cells; the other one is for balancing DC-link voltages. The latter is more concerned in this paper and is discussed in detail especially. simulations and experiments are carried on. The results verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

In tracking test, discharge is a complicated process and comparative tracking index (CTI) has wide varia-tion. To evaluate tracking resistance, the chaos analysis of discharge current is presented based on the tracking test of phenolic resin in accordance with IEC60112. According to the characteristics of statistical self-similarity and complexity of discharge current, the largest Lyapunov exponent is calculated, and the 2-dimensional attractor of discharge current is reconstructed. Moreover, the attractors of discharge current and recurrence plots of different discharge states are reconstructed. The results indicate that the chaos attractors have different characteristics in evo-lutionary tracks, the topological structure and grain direction of recurrence plots show significant differences. The chaos attractor can describe the tracking process, the recurrence plot can identify the tracking state clearly, while its arithmetic is simple.

In the unilateral open electricity market in China, the balance account is created as "regulator" between the bidding price of generation and retail price of electricity. Currently, the management of the balance account has serious defects. This might lead to the huge deficit and endanger the operation of market. Based on the incentive compatible principle, we propose a new method to manage the balance account through reward-penalty in the paper. The optimal bidding strategy for the power suppliers considering the new management method is also provided. The test results indicate that the proposed bidding strategy can mitigate the market power of the generation, reduce the market clearing price significantly, keep the fund of the balance account fluctuating within a certain range and further ensure the stability and sustainability of power market operation.

An asynchronous parallel method based on equivalence is proposed for transient stability simulation of powersystem. In the method, the system is partitioned into several interconnected subsystems by geographical location, and the subsystems are equivalent each other at each integration step. Each subsystem utilizes equivalent information from other subsystems to calculate independently. At each integration step, a subsystem only needs the predictive equivalence and correctional equivalence once. Additionally, asynchronous parallel technology based on the MPI on the PC-Cluster platform is designed to speed up the convergence. Several cases demonstrate that the proposed method has fast calculation speed and efficiency, as well as the simulation precision accepted for engineering application. For some large scale real system, the real-time or even super-real-time simulation will be realized.
