A study on DS-SVM-based forecast model from the view of information fusion

Dempster-Shafer Theory is specially advantaged in information fusion, while Support Vector Machine (SVM) can well deal with high-dimensional limited sample data. This Article firstly forecasts the data samples by categories with multiple SVMs, and hence based thereon, fuses the resulting information from multiple SVM models by using DS theory. At the end, Anderson's Iris data set is used to simulate the system of the created DS-SVM model, which shows that the approaches proposed in this Article can not only increase the accuracy rate of the SVM forecasting model, but also improve the propensity scores of the SVM forecasting model. © 2015 SERSC.

In order to solve the problem of high dimension in text classification, the paper proposes a method based on manifold learning and Bagging for text classification which imports manifold learning algorithm for dimension *** Bagging algorithm is introduced when training classifier to improve the accuracy of text classification. Experimental results demonstrate that effect of text dimension reduction by manifold learning algorithm in the pretreatment of text classification is better, and the performance of the classifier has improved significantly. © 2011 IEEE.

Electronic sand table is a new high-tech product by integrating computer application, geographic information systems (GIS) and virtual reality with multimedia. In this paper, an electronic sand table system of target areas is made under the platform of ArcGIS. The design and realization scheme of electronic sand table system is introduced at first. Then, the key techniques for electronic sand table, such as data processing, terrain modeling and feature matching, are described in details. Finally, the electronic sand table system is carried out on the platform of ArcGIS based on digital elevation model (DEM) and satellite remote sensing image. It can give users a real-time and interactive operation circumstance, and provide some references for the decision-makers to get a better understanding of the regions. © 2010 IEEE.

In this paper, we introduce the main concepts of a new maximum livelihood evidential reasoning (MAKER) framework for data-driven inferential modelling and decision making under different types of uncertainty. It consists of two types of model: state space model (SSM) and evidence space model (ESM), driven by the data that reflects the relationships between system inputs and output. SSM is constructed to describe different system states and changes. ESM is established by mapping data to a set of evidence that is partitioned into evidential elements each pointing to a system state set and together represents system behaviours in a probabilistic and distributed manner. The reliability of evidence and interdependence between a pair of evidence are explicitly measured. It is in the joint evidence-state space that multiple pieces of evidence with different degrees of interdependence and reliability are acquired from system inputs and combined to inference system output. A general optimal learning model is constructed, where evidence reliability can be learnt from historical data by maximising the likelihood of true state. In the MAKER framework, different types of uncertainty can be taken into account for inferential modelling, probabilistic prediction and decision making. © 2017 Chinese Automation and Computing Society in the UK - CACSUK.

Multiple classifier system exhibits strong classification capacity compared with single classifiers,but they require significant computational *** ensemble system aims to attain equivalent or better classification accuracy with fewer ***,current methods fail to identify precise solutions for constructing an ensemble *** this study,we propose an ensemble classifier design technique based on the perturbation binary salp swarm algorithm(ECDPB).Considering that extreme learning machines(ELMs)have rapid learning rates and good generalization ability,they can serve as the basic classifier for creating multiple candidates while using fewer computational ***,we introduce a combined diversity measure by taking the complementarity and accuracy of ELMs into account;it is used to identify the ELMs that have good diversity and low *** addition,we propose an ECDPB with powerful optimizing ability;it is employed to find the optimal subset of *** selected ELMs can then be used to forman ensemble *** on 10 benchmark datasets have been conducted,and the results demonstrate that the proposed ECDPB delivers superior classification capacity when compared with alternative methods.

This paper considers coordinated scheduling of production and delivery with multiple factories and multiple customers. Due to the variation of cost, the production and delivery costs of a job are dependent on the factory to which it is assigned. Our problem is to find a schedule that minimises the makespan or the total completion time, subject to the constraint that the total cost does not exceed a given threshold. We first describe a linear programming algorithm to solve the preemptive case. The result of the linear program serves as a lower bound of the nonpreemptive case and suggests heuristics to solve the nonpreemptive case. We also show that minimising the total completion time subject to a given threshold of the cost is NP-complete. Computational experiments are conducted and the results show that the heuristics perform very well in practice. © 2016, © 2016 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

3D information of surgical scene potentially enhances the accuracy of surgical navigation and facilitate the automation of robot-assisted surgery. However, current research seldom considers the relative 3D position between instruments and tissue. In this paper, the instruments-tissue interaction estimation method is proposed to obtain the relative distance between instruments and tissue. The 3D Gaussian representation of instruments is established preoperatively, making the pose of instruments the only parameter to be learned and updated. Based on this, the instrument pose estimation method is proposed, which applies 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) to the instrument Gaussian model to obtain rendered color images, projection masks, and depth maps. These are aligned with the input images, segmented masks and depth from stereo depth estimation to construct the target loss. By backpropagating through the target loss, the optimal instrument pose is obtained. The L1 loss and smooth loss based on TPS (the Thin Plate Spline) are used to complete the depth of tissue occluded by instruments. The instruments-tissue interaction is estimated by the nearest distance between instrument and tissue. The experimental results indicate an average error of 0.94 mm and an accuracy of 90.40% with an error less than 2mm in estimating relative 3D distance between instruments and tissue. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this paper is to probe into the rules of medicine compounding for stroke prevention treated by Xin'an physicians by data mining. The method is in two steps. First step is to build the database of the Xin'an physical stroke prevention. Second step is to use the method of association rules contained in professional data mining software and probe into the medicine rules for stroke prevention treated by Xin'an physicians. The result is that Chenpi, Fuling, Gancao, Luxiancao, Xiqiancao, Baijili, and Shinanye which are of the seven common Chinese medical compounding prescriptions can be used for Xin'an physicians' stroke prevention. The conclusion is that we should utilize the eliminating phlegm, calming wind and clearing the channels when Xin'an physicians treat stroke problem. © 2012 IEEE.

This paper used Gauss-Chebyshev formula to construct a new class of gray prediction model- GCGM (1,1) to overcome the lack of existed gray model and made accurate forecasting of electricity consumption for power engineering. A case study using the power engineering data of China is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
