Single-Loop Deadbeat Predictive control Framework for Uncertain SPMSM Drives With Disturbance Observation

To mitigate the detrimental effects of parameter perturbations and external load torque on the accuracy of speed and current tracking control in surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drive systems, while avoiding the complexities inherent in traditional speed-current series control architectures, this paper presents a single-loop deadbeat predictive control (SDPC) framework that incorporates online disturbance observation. The control input voltage vector is directly computed using an SDPC controller in conjunction with a set of discrete-time disturbance observers (DDOBs). This proposed methodology offers two notable advantages over existing research: (i) it substantially reduces the number of adjustable controller parameters, requiring only the tuning of the observer bandwidth and the speed scaling gain, which enhances its practicality for engineering applications;and (ii) the disturbance estimation and compensation mechanism utilizing DDOBs significantly improves the robustness of the SPMSM system. Furthermore, the SDPC framework ensures that the system maintains satisfactory transient and steady-state tracking performance in response to reference signals. Experimental comparisons validate both the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method. © 2015 IEEE.

Increases in ambient temperatures and the frequency of extreme heat events constitute important burdens on global public ***,evidence on their effects on public health is limited and inconclusive in *** this study,data on daily deaths recorded in 33 Chinese cities from 2007 to 2013 was used to evaluate the effect of heat on mortality in *** addition to the definition of a heatwave established by the China Meteorological Administration,we combined four city-specific relative thresholds(90th,92.5th,95th,and 97.5th percentiles)of the daily mean temperature during the study period and three durations of≽2,≽3,and≽4 days,from which 13 heatwave definitions were ***,we estimated the main and added effects of heat at the city level using a quasi-Poisson generalized additive model combined with a distributed lag nonlinear ***,the estimates for the effects were pooled at the national level using a multivariable *** analysis was performed according to sex,age,educational attainment,and spatially stratified *** results showed that the mortality risk increased from 22.3%to 37.1%due to the effects of the different heatwave *** added effects were much lower,with the highest increase of 3.9%(95%CI:1.7%–6.1%)in mortality ***,the elderly,populations with low educational levels,and populations living inland in China were found to be the most vulnerable to the detrimental effects of *** findings have important implications for the improvement of early warning systems for heatwaves.

Learning to Learn Transferable Generative Attack for Person Re-Identification

Deep learning-based person re-identification (reid) models are widely employed in surveillance systems and inevitably inherit the vulnerability of deep networks to adversarial attacks. Existing attacks merely consider cross-dataset and cross-model transferability, ignoring the cross-test capability to perturb models trained in different domains. To powerfully examine the robustness of real-world re-id models, the Meta Transferable Generative Attack (MTGA) method is proposed, which adopts meta-learning optimization to promote the generative attacker producing highly transferable adversarial examples by learning comprehensively simulated transfer-based crossmodel&dataset&test black-box meta attack tasks. Specifically, cross-model&dataset black-box attack tasks are first mimicked by selecting different re-id models and datasets for meta-train and meta-test attack processes. As different models may focus on different feature regions, the Perturbation Random Erasing module is further devised to prevent the attacker from learning to only corrupt model-specific features. To boost the attacker learning to possess cross-test transferability, the Normalization Mix strategy is introduced to imitate diverse feature embedding spaces by mixing multi-domain statistics of target models. Extensive experiments show the superiority of MTGA, especially in cross-model&dataset and cross-model&dataset&test attacks, our MTGA outperforms the SOTA methods by 20.0% and 11.3% on mean mAP drop rate, respectively. © 1992-2012 IEEE.

Identifying influential nodes is a recognized challenge for the tremendous number of nodes in complex networks. Most of proposed methods detect the influential nodes based on their degree or topological location, which only consider the local or global information of the network causing inaccuracy. In this paper, we propose a k-orders entropy-based method to identify influential nodes. The influence of node is determined by its entropy with local and global information. The entropy reflecting local information is measured by the different order neighbors' information of nodes while the entropy reflecting global information by the betweenness centrality. The experiments conducted on real-world networks demonstrate the proposed method is more accurate than other methods. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

UNet and its variants have widespread applications in medical image segmentation. However, the substantial number of parameters and computational complexity of these models make them less suitable for use in clinical settings with limited computational resources. To address this limitation, we propose a novel Lightweight Shift U-Net (LSU-Net). We integrate the Light Conv Block and the Tokenized Shift Block in a lightweight manner, combining them with a dynamic weight multi-loss design for efficient dynamic weight allocation. The Light Conv Block effectively captures features with a low parameter count by combining standard convolutions with depthwise separable convolutions. The Tokenized Shift Block optimizes feature representation by shifting and capturing deep features through a combination of the Spatial Shift Block and depthwise separable convolutions. Dynamic adjustment of the loss weights at each layer approaches the optimal solution and enhances training stability. We validated LSU-Net on the UWMGI and MSD Colon datasets, and experimental results demonstrate that LSU-Net outperforms most state-of-the-art segmentation architectures. For the strong nonlinearity and uncertainty in the ascent guidance problem of air-breathing hypersonic vehicle, an adaptive ascent guidance scheme based on model predictive static programming (MPSP) algorithm is investigated in this paper. The purpose of guidance scheme is to drive the vehicle to the desired terminal states under the disturbance and uncertain environment. Since MPSP algorithm is effective in solving terminal constrained optimal control problem, the guidance command is obtained to shape the ascent trajectory of the vehicle by this technique. Besides, considering that MPSP is a model-dependent algorithm that will be affected by the complex and changeable atmospheric environment, an extended Kalman filter (EKF) is adopted to identify the deviation of thrust coefficient, lift coefficient and drag coefficient online in a real flight condition, which can provide the adaptability of guidance scheme. Atmospheric turbulence has severe influence on laser beam propagations. The well accepted method of compensating for the aberrations in the turbulence is generating a beacon on the target or at the point-ahead location. In most scenarios, the wavelength of the beacon is similar to or shorter than the launched beam. However, when the strength of the turbulence gets stronger, intensity scintillations and wavefront branch points also arise, making it difficult to accurately measure the wavefront. As scintillations and branch points weakens with wavelength increases, it is reasonable to consider using beacons with longer wavelengths to improve wavefront detection accuracy. To further investigate the feasibility of beacons with longer wavelengths, we established a simulation model of wavefront detection and correction in horizontal path under strong turbulence. A split-step multi-phase screen method is employed to simulate the propagations of laser beams. Then a series of simulations with different refractive index structure parameter Cn2 and beacon wavelengths are studied. We show that under weak turbulence, the optimal wavelength of beacon is similar to the launched beam, as is widely investigated and concluded. However, beacons with longer wavelength are preferred under strong turbulence, especially with a general wavefront reconstruction algorithm without considering branch points. This research would be helpful to for designing adaptive optics systems to improve beam qualities in strong turbulence with adaptive optics systems. © 2023 SPIE.

Based on the incremental model, this paper investigates an adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) control scheme for reentry vehicles. First, the attitude dynamics of the reentry vehicle and its incremental form are established, then the ADP-based optimal controller is devised with reference to the dual heuristic dynamic programming (DHP) framework. Expediently, some local incremental parameters that the controller requires can be estimated through recursive least squares (RLS) technology online, replacing the model network that needs to be globally trained in advance in DHP. In addition, a target critic network is introduced to reduce the impact of state changes on the network parameters during the internal iterations of a time step, so it improves the learning stability. Training and deploying reinforcement learning (RL) policies for robots, especially in accomplishing specific tasks, presents substantial challenges. Recent advancements have explored diverse reward function designs, training techniques, simulation-to-reality (sim-to-real) transfers, and performance analysis methodologies, yet these still require significant human intervention. This paper introduces an end-to-end framework for training and deploying RL policies, guided by Large Language Models (LLMs), and evaluates its effectiveness on bipedal robots. The framework consists of three interconnected modules: an LLM-guided reward function design module, an RL training module leveraging prior work, and a sim-to-real homomorphic evaluation module. This design significantly reduces the need for human input by utilizing only essential simulation and deployment platforms, with the option to incorporate human-engineered strategies and historical data. We detail the construction of these modules, their advantages over traditional approaches, and demonstrate the framework’s capability to autonomously develop and refine controlling strategies for bipedal robot locomotion, showcasing its potential to operate independently of human intervention.
