Spatial audio is an important component of the metaverse. With the rapid increase of the spatial resolution and the number of objects, the data volume of the spatial side information has grown larger. However, the low bit rate transmission of spatial side information in the object-based audio coding methods leads to the low-quality reconstruction of spatial side information with limited bandwidth. To address this issue, this paper constructs a cascade design of spatial audio coding and unequal error protection (UEP) rateless codes. Furthermore, the further protection of specific spatial side information is proposed for different scenarios, which effectively addresses the limitation of traditional spatial audio coding in side information protection. For the situation where the code length K of different importance levels is different, we propose an adaptive degree distribution (ADD), adding K to the selection probability as an influencing factor, which has better performance than other degree distribution for short code length. ADD is used to replace the multiple degree distribution strategy of the traditional unequal error protection scheme, and the block error rate (BER) is reduced nearly 10 times compared with the traditional scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, skeleton-based action recognition has be-come very popular in areas such as autonomous driving and environmental awareness due to its small data size and high ac-curacy. Graph convolutional networks (GCN) can model skeleton data well by adapting to the graph structure of the skeleton. However, GCN lacks the ability to extract global spatial and temporal dependencies. Moreover, an action is not only formed by one single skeleton point or frame but several skeleton points and frames. In this paper, a novel spatial-temporal block transformer network based on the self-attention mechanism is proposed, which efficiently models global spatial-temporal dependencies. The model uses spatial-temporal blocks as input, and spatial-temporal feature aggregation modules are applied to enhance the information exchange between blocks. Extensive experiments on the two skeleton-based action recognition datasets show the remarkable performance of our model, which outperforms most GCN-based methods and all transformer-based methods. © 2022 IEEE.

Trajectory and control secrecy is an important issue in robotics security. This paper proposes a novel algorithm for the control input inference of a mobile agent without knowing its control objective. Specifically, the algorithm first estimates the target state by applying external perturbations. Then we identify the objective function based on the inverse optimal control, providing the well-posedness proof and the identifiability analysis. Next, we obtain the optimal estimate of the control horizon using binary search. Finally, the agent's control optimization problem is reconstructed and solved to predict its input. Simulation illustrates the efficiency and the performance of the algorithm.

Toward Enhancing Cyber-Physical system Security with system Unidentifiability

A substantial amount of research has shown that most attacks on cyber-physical systems rely on knowledge of system models, where the models can be obtained using identification methods. Hence, achieving unidentifiability is an attractive way for the security of systems. This paper focuses on the unidentifiability of systems and designs a controller against the attacks relying on identification. The key insight is that we propose a quantitative evaluation to measure the unidentifiability of the system. This evaluation can be taken as a criterion for evaluating the security of the system. Different from the existing research, the evaluation gives the exact number of unidentifiable parameters in the system. Moreover, we give the necessary and sufficient condition for each parameter to be unidentifiable. Finally, we design a controller based on this evaluation to maximize the number of unidentifiable parameters. Simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of our algorithm.

GENERATIVE ADVERSARIAL NETWORKS FOR REMOTE SENSING IMAGE DEHAZING WITH COLOR FEATURE RESTORATION

Remote sensing images are often affected by atmospheric factors such as haze during the acquisition process, resulting in blurring and low contrast in the collected remote sensing images. This problem impacts the image quality, thereby affecting the analysis of remote sensing images. To mitigate the impact of haze on remote sensing images, a generative adversarial network is proposed. It comprises a generative network and an adversarial network. Firstly, a novel feature extraction module is designed to enhance the capability of extracting useful information from remote sensing images. It enables the network to focus more on regions with dense haze, allowing it to extract more important information while filtering out irrelevant details. Secondly, a residual attention module is designed which can allocate different weights based on varying haze density in the feature map. This module readjusts features outputted by the encoder, facilitating better image restoration. Thirdly, a multi-scale module is also incorporated to extract feature information across various image scales. Lastly, a color feature extraction module is designed to extract color features. The novel feature extraction module, residual attention module, multi-scale module, and color feature extraction module are utilized for constructing the generative network. Besides, an adversarial network is also designed to indirectly enhance the dehazing capability of the generative network. Synthetic and real datasets are used to test six different methods for dehazing remote sensing images, respectively. The proposed method achieves higher PSNR, SSIM, and lower MSE on the synthetic remote sensing dataset. On the other hand, it achieves lower PIQE, BRISQUE, and higher MetaIQA on the real remote sensing dataset. We develop a safe, efficient, and flexible motion control framework for collision-free navigation of robots in uncertain and dynamic environments. With the gathered real-time data at each control time, the motion distribution of obstacles is estimated from data streams by leveraging the Dirichlet process mixture model. We propose a novel uncertainty propagation method, which theoretically admits the derivation of obstacle position distributions over the entire prediction horizon only based on the current position and motion distribution of obstacles. To enhance the robustness against estimated distribution errors, an ambiguity set utilizing local-moment information of position distributions is constructed. Additionally, we introduce a compression scheme to automatically adjust the complexity (granularity) of the ambiguity set by aggregating distributions that are close in Wasserstein space, thereby flexibly striking a trade-off between control performance and computation time. The distributionally robust collision avoidance constraint based on the compressed ambiguity set is reformulated into separating hyperplanes, which are applied in the model predictive controller to obtain the optimal collision-free trajectory. To resolve the infinite-dimensionality issue inherent in the computation of the separating hyperplanes, we equivalently derive a tractable semi-definite programming formulation exploiting distributionally robust optimization techniques. The efficacy of the proposed framework is demonstrated through simulation.

Distracted driving behaviour recognition based on transfer learning and model fusion

In the recognition of distracted driving behaviour, traditional manual feature extraction is subjective and complex;single deep convolutional network also has problems such as insufficient generalisation performance and stability. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a distracted driving behaviour recognition method based on transfer learning and model fusion. First, based on the transfer learning method, the deep convolutional neural network models ResNet18 and ResNet34 are used to extract the features of some images, respectively. Furthermore, the pre-trained model is fine-tuned to obtain four deep convolutional neural network models. Finally, the four network models are fused by stacking method, using 5-fold cross-validation method to reduce over-fitting. Experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of distracted driving behaviour after model fusion reaches 95.47%. The fusion model has higher model generalisation performance and recognition accuracy, which can provide certain technical support for the research of distracted driving behaviour recognition. © 2023 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Improved control Strategies for Totem-Pole PFC With True Full Range ZVS Operation

Zero voltage switching (ZVS) of power semiconductor devices is an effective way to improve the efficiency and power density of the power electronic converters with extremely high switching frequency. This article aims to analyze and realize the true full-range ZVS operation of a totem-pole power factor correction circuit. The available ZVS control strategies are investigated, and the conditions for the realization of full-range ZVS operation are analyzed. It is revealed that the existed control strategies did not consider the influence of the dead-time, resulting in the failure of ZVS operation in some input voltage ranges. To address this issue, two feasible retrofitted control strategies, namely the turn-off current optimization control and the adaptive dead-time control, are proposed. The merits and drawbacks of the two control strategies are carefully analyzed and compared. It is found that the adaptive dead-time control can not only achieve the true full range ZVS but also significantly reduce the loss of the freewheeling diodes. The design consideration of key parameters is discussed. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed control and the correctness of the theoretical analyses are verified by simulation and experiment. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

Model-predictive control is emerging as an advanced control strategy for its feature that the state variables can be predicted according to the math model of the control system. In the PMSM drive application, conventional model-predictive control strategy induces current ripple due to the fact that the optimal voltage vector always acts on the system for the whole control period. In order to restrain the current ripple, the idea of duty cycle control is taken into MPC by inserting a zero vector into the optimal non-zero vector and regulating the duty cycle of non-zero vector. In this paper, the optimal duty cycle FSC-MPC strategy based on two different principles is investigated. Principle A is that the estimation is equal to the reference at the end of control cycle, and principle B is that the area under trace of the estimation is equal to that of reference. The calculation of duty based on the two different principles and the flow chart of the strategy are introduced in detail. Finally, the effectiveness of the optimal duty cycle FSC-MPC is firstly verified by the simulation, and then verified by the experimental results, which is implemented on the PMSM driver of the DQ-1 satellite payload. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. The H-type two-axis linear plane motion platform with dual gantry drive is one of the most crucial components in contour processing equipment. The dual gantry structure employs independently controlled dual-side motors to collectively drive the motion of the gantry crossbeam axis. While the introduction of dual gantry drive brings higher single-axis positioning accuracy and greater operational speed to contour processing *** these issues, this paper starts with the dynamic modeling of the dual gantry H-type plane motion platform. It modifies and extends the task coordinates within the framework of the Global Task Coordinate Frame (GTCF). Subsequently, it effectively addresses the coordination between axes and the synchronization of dual drive in the task space, obtaining both motion coordination and dual-axis synchronization capabilities, leading to more accurate contour error calculation and evaluation. The paper includes a comprehensive design of experiments to assess the dual gantry synchronization performance in contour control. The proposed control method is compared with the traditional GTCF-based contour control method, demonstrating the effectiveness and superiority of the integrated coordination and synchronization contour control method.
