Four development stages of collective intelligence

The new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)research initiated by Chinese scholars conforms to the needs of a new information environment changes,and strives to advance traditional artificial intelligence(AI 1.0)to a new stage of AI *** one of the important components of AI,collective intelligence(CI 1.0),i.e.,swarm intelligence,is developing to the stage of CI 2.0(crowd intelligence).Through in-depth analysis and informative argumentation,it is found that an incompatibility exists between CI 1.0 and CI ***,CI 1.5 is introduced to build a bridge between the above two stages,which is based on biocollaborative behavioral *** 1.5 is the transition from CI 1.0 to CI 2.0,which contributes to the compatibility of the two ***,a new interpretation of the meta-synthesis of wisdom proposed by Qian Xuesen is *** meta-synthesis of wisdom,as an improvement of crowd intelligence,is an advanced stage of bionic intelligence,i.e.,CI *** is pointed out that the dual-wheel drive of large language models and big data with deep uncertainty is an evolutionary path from CI 2.0 to CI 3.0,and some elaboration is *** a result,we propose four development stages(CI 1.0,CI 1.5,CI 2.0,and CI 3.0),which form a complete framework for the development of *** different stages are progressively improved and have good *** to the dominant role of cooperation in the development stages of CI,three types of cooperation in CI are discussed:indirect regulatory cooperation in lower organisms,direct communicative cooperation in higher organisms,and shared intention based collaboration in *** division is the main form of achieving cooperation and,for this reason,this paper investigates the relationship between the complexity of behavior and types of labor ***,based on the overall understanding of the four development stages of CI,the future development direction and research issues of CI are explored.

In this paper, the control issue of the semiconductor silicon monocrystalline growth process is studied through an event triggered model prediction approach. Firstly, a state-space model of silicon monocrystalline growth process is developed to describe the energy conversion and the dynamics and the geometry of the isodiametric stage silicon monocrystalline via the Czochralski method. Secondly, a small perturbation linearization is used to obtain a linear continuous model, which is translated into a linear discrete model under zero-order retainers. Finally, an event triggered model prediction controller is established to decrease the calculation of model prediction in the rolling optimization process. Based on experimental results, the event-triggered model prediction control algorithm is confirmed to be an effectively control scheme for the silicon monocrystalline growth process. © 2022 IEEE.

The development of Industrial Internet of Things necessitates deterministic transmission of hybrid traffic with varying real-time requirements. Time-Sensitive Networking offers schemes combining scheduling mechanisms like the Time-Aware Shaper (TAS) and Cyclic Queuing and Forwarding (CQF). Current methods utilize the combination of TAS&CQF to schedule Time-Triggered (TT) and Audio-Video Bridging (AVB) traffic under corresponding mechanisms, respectively. However, the prior TT traffic orchestration restricts the scheduling solution space of AVB traffic, decreasing the effectiveness of combination and finally resulting in low schedulability. In this paper, we focus on enhancing the schedulability of TT&AVB scheduling by integrating TAS and Cyclic Specified Queuing and Forwarding (CSQF), which brings larger scheduling solution space to AVB traffic. The integration of TAS&CSQF is proposed by analyzing the impact of TAS on CSQF to expand the allocatable resource for AVB traffic. Then TAS&CSQF scheduling model is formulated to ensure deterministic requirements. Within this model, Timeslot Clustering Optimization (TCO) is proposed to optimize the scheduling solution space of AVB traffic and slice timeslot by refining the scheduling of TAS. Based on TCO, Flow Congestion Metric (FCM) is designed to improve schedulability by the congestion level of each link. An FCM-based algorithm is further presented to generate TT&AVB solutions incrementally. Simulation results demonstrate that our method reduces scheduling time cost by over 168 times and improves schedulability by 32% for 3000 flows compared to existing methods.

In order to address the issues of real-time performance and the low dependency between feature channels in fabric defect detection networks, this paper proposes the ESE-YOLOv5 network based on YOLOv5. Firstly, to address the relative redundancy of the neck detection network feature channels, a relatively lightweight and efficient convolution module is adopted to ensure accuracy while reducing computation and parameter volume. Furthermore, the Efficient Squeeze-Excitation (ESE) module is introduced into the backbone to optimize the dependency of feature channels, which enhances the model's feature extraction capacity and improves detection accuracy. Experimental results show that compared to YOLOv5, the proposed ESE-YOLOv5 model reduces computation and parameter volume while improving accuracy, meeting the needs of fabric defect detection for recognizing fabric defects that have similar characteristics to the background while maintaining real-time performance. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper examines the consensus problem on leader-follower matrix-weighted undirected switching networks. First, we introduce the leader-follower matrix-weighted integral network for analyzing such a category of networks. The connection between the null space of matrix-valued Laplacian associated with the integral network and that associated with the series of switching matrix-weighted networks has been established. Under some mild assumptions, sufficient conditions for leader-follower consensus under matrix-weighted periodic switching networks are provided. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the theoretical results.

In this paper, we investigate the problem of linear temporal logic (LTL) path planning for multi-agent systems, introducing the new concept of ordering constraints. Specifically, we consider a generic objective function that is defined for the path of each individual agent. The primary objective is to find a global plan for the team of agents, ensuring they collectively meet the specified LTL requirements. Simultaneously, we aim to maintain a pre-determined order in the values of the objective function for each agent, which we refer to as the ordering constraints. This new requirement stems from scenarios like security-aware planning, where relative orders outweigh absolute values in importance. We present an efficient algorithm to solve this problem, supported by proofs of correctness that demonstrate the optimality of our solution. Additionally, we provide a case study in security-aware path planning to illustrate the practicality and effectiveness of our proposed approach.

Vehicle platoon is one of the concrete manifestations of multi-vehicle cooperative control and intelligent transportation. However, the velocity perturbation in the driving process will bring about stability and safety problems. The connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs) can obtain the motion status of the lead vehicle in real time and respond to it in time, which is of far-reaching significance to platoon control. Based on this, this paper focuses on the longitudinal driving strategy of connected autonomous vehicle platoons. Specifically, we provide a discrete double-integral model controller for each vehicle in a generic scenario, and the controller performs acceleration and deceleration control at each timeslot according to the state of the vehicle in front and its own state. Simulation experiments are designed by varying the size of the platoon and the number of connected autonomous vehicles. The experimental results show that the introduction of connected autonomous vehicles can effectively suppress the platoon velocity perturbation, increase the stability of the platoon driving, and significantly reduce the fuel consumption at the same time. © 2023 IEEE.

Industrial cyber-physical systems (ICPS) integrate physical processes with computational and communication technologies in industrial settings. With the support of edge computing technology, it is feasible to schedule large-scale sensors for efficient distributed sensing. In the sensing process, observability is the key to obtaining complete system states, and stochastic scheduling is more suitable considering uncertain factors in wireless communication. However, existing works have limited research on observability in stochastic scheduling. Targeting this issue, we propose an observability-based intelligent distributed edge sensing method (OIDM). Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methods are adopted to optimize sensing accuracy and power efficiency. Based on the system’s ability to achieve observability, we establish a bridge between observability and the number of successful sensor transmissions. Novel linear approximations of observability criteria are provided, and probabilistic bounds on observability are derived. Furthermore, these bounds guide the design of action space to achieve a probabilistic observability guarantee in stochastic scheduling. Finally, our proposed method is applied to the estimation of slab temperature in industrial hot rolling process, and simulation results validate its effectiveness.

In this study a novel synthetic aperture radar(SAR)scattering model for sea surface with breaking waves is *** with existing models,the proposed model considers an empirical relationship between wind speed and wave breaking scattering to present the contribution of wave ***,the scattering weight factor p,and wave breaking rate q,are performed to present the contribution of the quasi-specular scattering term,Bragg scattering term,and wave breaking scattering term to the total scattering from the sea *** explore the modeling accuracy of sea-surface scattering,a simulated normalized radar cross-section(NRCS)and measured NRCS are *** proposed model generated the simulated NRCS and a matching GF-3 dataset was used for the measured *** was revealed that the performance of the VV polarization of our model was much better than that of HH polarization,with a correlation of 0.91,bias of-0.14 dB,root mean square error(RMSE)of 1.26 dB,and scattering index(SI)*** addition,the novel model is explored and compared with the geophysical model of CMODs and satellite-measured NRCS from GF-3 SAR wave mode *** an incidence angle 40°–41°,the relationship between the NRCS and wind speed,relative wind direction is *** with the SAR-measured NRCS,the performance of VV polarization was much better than HH polarization,with a correlation of 0.99,bias of-0.25 dB,RMSE of 0.64 dB,and SI of-0.04.
