Sign information is the key to overcoming the inevitable saturation error in compressive sensing systems, which causes information loss and results in bias. For sparse signal recovery from saturation, we propose to use a linear loss to improve the effectiveness from existing methods that utilize hard constraints/hinge loss for sign consistency. Due to the use of linear loss, an analytical solution in the update progress is obtained, and some nonconvex penalties are applicable, e.g., the minimax concave penalty, the 0 norm, and the sorted 1 norm. Theoretical analysis reveals that the estimation error can still be bounded. Generally, with linear loss and nonconvex penalties, the recovery performance is significantly improved, and the computational time is largely saved, which is verified by the numerical experiments. The Super-Low Frequency （SLF） electromag- netic prospecting technique, adopted as a non-imaging remote sensing tool for depth sounding, is systematically proposed for subsurface geological survey. In this paper, we propose and theoretically illustrate natural source magnetic amplitudes as SLF responses for the first step. In order to directly calculate multi-dimensional theoretical SLF responses, modeling algorithms were developed and evaluated using the finite difference method. The theore- tical results of three-dimensional （3-D） models show that the average normalized SLF magnetic amplitude responses were numerically stable and appropriate for practical interpretation. To explore the depth resolution, three-layer models were configured. The modeling results prove that the SLF technique is more sensitive to conductive objective layers than high resistive ones, with the SLF responses of conductive objective layers obviously show- ing uprising amplitudes in the low frequency range. Afterwards, we proposed an improved Frequency-Depth transformation based on Bostick inversion to realize the depth sounding by empirically adjusting two parameters. The SLF technique has already been successfully applied in geothermal exploration and coalbed methane （CBM） reservoir interpretation, which demonstrates that the proposed methodology is effective in revealing low resistive distributions. Furthermore, it siginificantly contributes to reservoir identification with electromagnetic radiation anomaly extraction. Meanwhile, the SLF inter- pretation results are in accordance with dynamic production status of CBM reservoirs, which means it could provide an economical, convenient and promising method for exploring and monitoring subsurface geo-objects.

Mobile cloud computing (MCC), as a prospective computing paradigm, can significantly enhance computation capability and save energy of smart mobile devices (SMDs) by offloading computation-intensive tasks from resource-constrained SMDs onto the resource-rich center cloud. Compared to a center cloud, an edge cloud can provide services to nearby SMDs with lower latency. However, the edge cloud may be mobile and its resources are limited to multiple nearby users. In this paper, we aim to minimize the total execution cost of multiple devices by offloading the computation from SMDs onto edge clouds in an edge cloud computing (ECC) system. By considering the mobility of SMDs and edge clouds, we first formulate the total cost minimization problem under the constraints of application completion deadline and connection time between SMDs and edge clouds as well as the limited computing resource of both edge clouds and SMDs. Then, by solving the minimization problem, we propose an optimal offloading selection strategy based on a game model, and an edge cloud payoff competition algorithm to optimally allocate edge cloud resource to SMDs to achieve the minimum total execution cost. Experimental results show that our offloading strategy can effectively reduce energy consumption and application completion time compared with the state-of-the-art methods.

With the development of economy and technology, blockchains has become the preferred technology to solve the credit problems of both parties. Taking the sensitivity of transaction data into account, the use of blockchains technology in the B2B trading system is very appropriate. The credit problem of the B2B trading platform are solved in the article by introducing consortium blockchains technology, and a container-based cloud platform based on docker and kubernetes is built to improve the performance in the application of the consortium blockchains. First, it solves the problem of node performance bottleneck caused by the sudden increase of nodes, high-frequency transactions, and overclocking transactions. Second, it solves the problem of rapid iterative upgrade of node system versions with the rapid development of consortium blockchains technology, and securely stores consortium blockchains data and enterprise’s own sensitive data. The platform, to a certain extent, solved the credit problems of the transactions between enterprises, and at the same time reduced the time cost and the economic cost of the company. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2018.

Transition from conventional to digital pathology requires a new category of biomedical informatic infrastructure which could facilitate delicate pathological routine. Pathological diagnoses are sensitive to many external factors and is known to be subjective. Only systems that can meet strict requirements in pathology would be able to run along pathological routines and eventually digitized the area, and the developed platform should comply with existing pathological routines and international standards. Currently, there are a number of available software tools which can perform histopathological tasks including virtual slide viewing, annotating, and basic image analysis, however, none of them can serve as a digital platform for pathology. Here we describe OpenHI2, an enhanced version Open Histopathological Image platform which is capable of supporting all basic pathological tasks and file formats;ready to be deployed in medical institutions on a standard server environment or cloud computing infrastructure. In this paper, we also describe the development decisions for the platform and propose solutions to overcome technical challenges including responsive region retrieval and viewing, virtual slide magnification, recording of diagnostic areas. These factors would promote OpenHI2 be used as a platform for histopathological images in real-world clinical settings. Furthermore, in research, OpenHI2 inherited the annotation functionality from the previous version, thus acquired annotations can be directly utilized by the newly added machine learning module which include popular machine learning models to perform tasks such as histology image classification and segmentation in the same environment. Addition can be made to the platform since each component is modularized and fully documented. OpenHI2 is free, open-source, and available at .

As for a pipe-line system subjected to complex operations, an approach is proposed to synthesize the controller via Petri nets (PNs) such that the plant is run as concurrently as possible and the loads of equipments are balanced. A P-timed and labeled PN is designed to model the whole process of a pipe-line system, where tasks, including transporting material from one tank to another and cleaning tank, are represented by operational places, and level sensors amounted in tanks are represented by labels assigned to transitions. Further, monitor places are designed to resolve the conflict relations among tasks due to the shared valves and pipes. An method is presented to translate an PN controller into a CIF3 (Compositional Interchange Format) model, which can be converted into a PLC program in the CIF3 tool. A beer filtration plant is taken as an example to illustrate the approach, and its simulation experiments are carried out to verify the theoretic results.

At present, machine learning is quite popular, and tensorflow framework is also very popular. This system takes the plan management system as the practice platform, realizes the data analysis function through the machine learning understanding and the key point. Most of the current market are planning management system, but there is no self-analysis ability, need to base on data, there are limitations. Firstly, the system collects training data such as weight, body fat rate and so on, then builds a deep learning neural network, and finally runs the model to realize plan analysis, so as to help users analyze the feasibility of the plan and provide suggestions for users, and the analysis results will be displayed through processing.

The simulation platform and physical equipment in traditional control system of inverted pendulum are often independent of each other. Researchers are more likely to use Simulink for inverted pendulum simulation. The physical model is simplified, and the curves of the simulation result are correct as well. In this paper, a more practical nonlinear model of inverted pendulum is established. The model and control algorithm code are generated automatically based on embedded equipment, and experimental curves can be displayed in real time in a three-dimensional scene.

A Multiscale Superpixel-Level Salient Object Detection Model Using Local-Global Contrast Cue

The goal of salient object detection is to estimate the regions which are most likely to attract human's visual attention. As an important image preprocessing procedure to reduce the computational complexity, salient object detection is still a challenging problem in computer vision. In this paper, we proposed a salient object detection model by integrating local and global superpixel contrast at multiple scales. Three features are computed to estimate the saliency of superpixel. Two optimization measures are utilized to refine the resulting saliency map. Extensive experiments with the state-of-the-art saliency models on four public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Sandwich mapping of rodent density in Jilin Province, China

Rodents are the main host animals that spread plague, and Spermophilus dauricus（S. dauricus） is the most common rodent in North China. In this study, a rodent density survey was carried out in China＇s Jilin Province from April to August 2005. Moran＇s I and semivariogram curves were used to investigate the spatial distribution characteristics of the sampling data. We found that the spatial auto-correlation index was low and failed to generate a meaningful semivariogram curve. In this case, commonly used interpolators, such as kriging, were not suitable for mapping density over the study area. However, the Sandwich model, which is based on spatial stratified heterogeneity, could be applied to our data. Our results showed that the type of soil and land use significantly influenced the distribution of rodent density, and the interactive effect of these variables was much stronger than that of each variable alone. The Sandwich-estimated rodent density map showed that rodent density increased from the southeast to the northwest in Jilin Province. Finally, a framework of a rodent density survey using the Sandwich model was introduced.
