Microstructural parameters are important for analyzing the chemistry and performance of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Aiming at the YSZ / Ni anode optical microscopy (OM) image of SOFC, in this paper, particle swarm intelligent optimization algorithm is used to improve the fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm for image segmentation. Particle swarm optimization is used to adaptively search the initial clustering center, helping to avoid local optimization and preserve more image detail. The experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the segmentation accuracy of images. At the same time, it can accurately segment the SOFC three-phase and provide effective image segmentation results for the microstructure parameters.

The negative sequence (NS) current and voltage unbalance in microgrids will cause the error action of protection device, power loss and equipment damage due to unbalanced loads. To compensate the NS current and limit the voltage unbalance, a novel parallel distributed model predictive control (DMPC) strategy is introduced by communicating between neighboring distributed energy resources (DERs). The paper also presents a NS current sharing strategy to decrease the voltage unbalance and offer reference signals for DMPC according to the maximum NS current of DERs. Through this control structure, it is assured that the NS current is picked up by all DERs within the limit and the voltage unbalance is reduced. The simulation results show DERs share the NS current properly and the voltage unbalance is below 2%, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the control structure.

To improve the diagnostic accuracy of follicle ultrasound images detection, this paper proposed a method of cattle follicle ultrasound images detection based on HOG + Improved LBP + SVM. It calculated the Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) feature for all cell in detection window, used improved Local Binary Pattern method to get gray feature, combined with the Support Vector Machine (SVM), it did the feature training and test experiment, last, the proposed method was compared with that single HOG feature detection, single traditional LBP feature detection and HOG + traditional LBP feature detection. Experimental results showed, the proposed method can effectively describe and detect cattle follicle ultrasound images, and it has higher recognition accuracy.

Sparse representation based classification has recently been shown to provide excellent results in many object recognition and classification tasks. The high cost of computing, however, is a major obstacle that limits the applicability of these methods in battlefield information process scenarios where process time and computational power is restricted. In this paper, we study a fast and computationally efficient sparse representation classification scheme for battlefield textual information in which the block sparsity of sparse coefficients is exploited. A novel sparse approximation algorithm tailored for this low complexity classification method is proposed. Experiment results show that our classification algorithm that leverages the sparse structure of the textual information outperforms plain sparse representation classification procedures in both classification accuracy and computationally efficiency.
