In this paper, we consider beamformer design of access and backhaul links in downlink cloud-RANs. An optimization problem is formulated with the objective of maximizing the weighted sum rate (WSR) under the constraints of power consumption, backhaul rate, as well as user grouping, which assumes each user is served by only one SBS to reduce the traffic load over the backhaul links. To solve this intractable problem, reweighted ℓ 1 -norm, successive convex approximation and WMMSE-based formulation methods are introduced to transform it into a tractable form. An iterative algorithm based on block coordinate update (BCU) scheme is designed to solve the approximate problem. Finally, simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

This study proposes a motion cue based pedestrian detection method with two-trame-filtering (Tff) for video surveillance. The novel motion cue is exploited by the gray value variation between two frames. Then Tff processing filters the gradient magnitude image by the variation map. Summa- tions of the Tff gradient magnitudes in cells are applied to train a pre-deteetor to exclude most of the background regions. Histogram of Tff oriented gradient (HTffOG) feature is proposed for pedestrian detection. Experimental results show that this method is effective and suitable for real-time surveil- lance applications.

Secondary Users (SUs) have capability to sense available licensed spectrum in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). Hence, SUs can opportunistically access to the licensed spectrum without disturbing Primary Users (PUs). In this paper, a novel network architecture is proposed to reduce the production cost and the energy consumption for CRNs. The proposed network architecture is based on the spectral requirement of Secondary Users (SUs). In the proposed network architecture, only parts of SUs are equipped with Cognitive Radio (CR) module. In addition, a minimum number of SUs are selected to sense available licensed spectrum, which aims at reducing the energy consumption further. The minimum number of SUs selection problem is formulated as a non-linear programming problem under the constrains of energy efficiency and the real-time available spectrum information. However, the non-linear programming problem is a NP-hard problem. Hence, a distributed heuristic algorithm is proposed to calculate the near-optimal solution. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed heuristic algorithm in the proposed network architecture outperforms the random algorithm in the proposed network architecture and traditional Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks (CRAHNs) in energy efficiency.

This paper firstly proposed a universal track initiation method with adaptive threshold. Using this method, performance under heavy clutter tracking environment is improved. Besides, joint probabilistic data association filter is the common data association method, which only deal with the fixed-numbered multi-target tracking problem. Introducing the data pre-association process, an improved JPDAF algorithm is proposed to accomplish variable-numbered multi-target tracking, which is validated by simulation results.
