In this paper, we consider the competitive dynamics on complex networks where two sets of agents have fixed and opposite-signed states, called competitors, and other agents, called normal agents, update their states based on the influence of their neighbors. The competition outcome is defined in terms of the number of normal agents with specific sign. We introduce a criterion based on the Influence Matrix(IM), which is constructed according to the structure of the network, to predict the bias of each normal agent and furthermore predict which set of competitors will win the competition. We also compare the performance of IM criterion with several classic centrality-based criteria in predicting the competition outcome. Simulations show that, in the aspect of predicting the bias of a normal agent, the average success rate of IM criterion keeps high as the cardinality of set of competitors varies. In predicting the result of the competition, for undirected networks, IM criterion performs better than other centrality based criteria when the cardinality of the set of competitors is greater than one. For directed networks, IM criterion is also one of the best criteria.

For the speed and tension system of reversing cold strip mill with multivariable, uncertainties and strong coupling, a new method of inverse linear quadratic (ILQ) is proposed. Firstly, a relatively complete mathematical model for the speed and tension multivariable coupling system is established by using the mechanism modeling method. Then according to the state-space expression of the controlled system and aspirations closed-loop poles, optimal feedback matrix is obtained by ILQ method. Instead of choosing the weighted matrix simplifies the design process, and the asymptotic behavior of the system is robust. Simulation results show the effectiveness of this method.

Network predictive control is effectively in dealing with time-delay, data dropouts, packets disorders of Network controlsystem. This paper studies the stochastic stability of a affine nonlinear system within random time delay. The systemcontroller is consist of a control prediction generator(CPG) at the controller side and a network delay compensator(NDC) at the plant side. Different from the previous literatures that model the random delay of the feedback channel and the forward channel as Markov chain respectively, the model in this paper is based on the round-trip delay, which making the predictive control process more concise but without losing generality. Then, this paper gives the necessary and sufficient conditions for stochastic stability of the closed-loop system. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper addresses the robust semi-global coordinated tracking problem of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multi-agent systems with input saturation and communication noise. A distributed observer-based coordinated tracking protocol is constructed by combining a novel parameterized low-and-high feedback technique with the high-gain observers design approach. It is shown that, under the assumptions that each agent is asymptotically null-controllable with bounded controls and the network is connected, semi-global consensus tracking or semi-global swarm tracking can be attained for left-invertible and minimal-phase systems.

This paper presents a new Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) Automatic Target Recognition(ATR) method based on slow feature analysis. Slow feature analysis(SFA) is a method for learning invariant or slowly varying features from multi-dimensional input signal. The SFA-based SAR ATR system does not require any pre-processing, such as filtering or pose estimation of the image. The performance of the method is evaluated via three classification experiments on Moving and Stationary Target Acquisition and Recognition(MSTAR) database. The experiment results show the effectiveness of the proposed method on SAR ATR problem.

Spiking neural P systems with anti-spikes (ASN P systems) are variant forms of spiking neural P systems, which are inspired by inhibitory impulses/spikes or inhibitory synapses. The typical feature of ASN P systems is when a neuron contains both spikes and anti-spikes, spikes and anti-spikes wil immediately annihilate each other in a maximal way. In this paper, a restricted variant of ASN P systems, cal ed ASN P systems without anni-hilating priority, is considered, where the annihilating rule is used as the standard rule, i.e., it is not obligatory to use in the neuron associated with both spikes and anti-spikes. If the annihilating rule is used in a neuron, the annihilation wil consume one time unit. As a result, such systems using two categories of spiking rules (identified by (a, a) and (a,a^-)) can achieve Turing completeness as number accepting devices.

In this paper,a distributed consensus protocol is proposed for discrete-time single-integer multi-agent systems with measurement noises under general fixed directed *** time-varying control gains satisfying the stochastic approximation conditions are introduced to attenuate noises, thus the closed-loop multi-agent system is intrinsically a linear time-varying stochastic difference *** the mean square consensus convergence analysis is developed based on the Lyapunov technique, and the construction of the Lyapunov function especially does not require the typical balanced network topology condition assumed for the existence of quadratic Lyapunov ***,the proposed consensus protocol can be applicable to more general networked multi-agent systems, particularly when the bidirectional and/or balanced information exchanges between agents are not *** the proposed protocol,it is proved that the state of each agent converges in mean square to a common random variable whose mathematical expectation is the weighted average of agents' initial state values;meanwhile, the random variable's variance is bounded.

With the increasing computing power and network capacity, distributed automation systems are facing new challenges of handling massive amounts of distributed nodes within tight real-time constraints. The industrial cyber-physical systems is considered as the key to solve these complexities. In distributed industrial automation systems, there exists several execution semantics. In this paper, all existing execution semantics are summarized as a set of rules which are described by reconfigurable elements. During the simulation and verification of industrial cyber-physical systems, those rules are helpful to provide a generic runtime environment which can perform various execution semantics. This reconfigurable execution environment is demonstrated using a case study of a room lighting system.
