Accurate fault diagnosis plays a key role in the safe and efficient operation of electrical motors. Aiming at multiclass motor fault diagnosis under complex working conditions, a signal fusion-based fault diagnosis framework is proposed. Measurement parameters from different sensors are first transformed by wavelet denoising and fast Fourier transform (FFT). Then, multiple parameters spectrum and working condition information are integrated and converted into high-dimension matrices. Finally, a channel-attention-based convolution neural network (CA-CNN) is proposed to extract fault patterns from a reconstructed matrix and output diagnosis results. Experiment results on both simulated and experimental datasets verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Current unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and their mission system have been gradually developed in the direction of swarming together. However, the existing swarm coordination method usually realizes the parallel execution of multiple tasks through the assignment missions for various nodes, so the number of concurrent missions supported by the system is minimal, which is challenging to meet the requirements of electromagnetic monitoring tasks in the natural electromagnetic environment. Therefore, this paper introduces the idea of time-division multiplexing and proposes a time resource allocation algorithm for concurrent tasks oriented to multi-node synchronous cooperation. Based on the fixed-priority scheduling strategy, the algorithm can reasonably schedule sensor resources of each UAV node according to priority constraints, which improves the concurrent task processing capability of the UAV swarm. Through the fast schedulability test based on blocking interval, the task's parameters can be adjusted quickly to ensure the mission's correct execution and improve the UAV swarm's dynamic adaptability. Finally, simulation verifies the proposed algorithm's effectiveness and feasibility. © 2022 IEEE.

Recent advancements in large language models have led to significant improvements in various natural language processing tasks, including automated question answering. However, these models still struggle with providing accurate responses to complex biology questions, such as those found in the National College Entrance Examination. To address this issue, researchers have explored retrieval-augmented generation techniques, which incorporate external knowledge sources to enhance answer accuracy. While these methods have shown promise in improving efficiency, they often lack the ability to perform in-depth analysis of complex questions. In response to these limitations, the paper proposes a novel ReAct agent-based question answering method. This method combines biology textbook document libraries with Google search engine capabilities, leveraging the strengths of large language models. By integrating these components, this method can engage in autonomous decision-making and multi-step reasoning, allowing for a more thorough analysis of complex biology questions. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this new approach. When compared to responses generated directly by ChatGPT and GPT-4o models, the method showed significant improvements in accuracy for biology questions from the National College Entrance Examination. Specifically, the new method achieved accuracy increases of 11.1% and 4.64% over ChatGPT and GPT-4o, respectively. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

This article presents a novel efficient method for gridless line spectrum estimation problems with single snapshot and sparse signals, namely the gradient descent least-squares (GDLS) method. Conventional single-snapshot (a.k.a. single-measure vector or SMV) line spectrum estimation methods either rely on smoothing techniques that sacrifice the range and/or azimuth resolution or adopt the sparsity constraint and utilize the compressed sensing (CS) method by defining prior grids and resulting in the off-grid problem. Recently emerged atomic norm minimization (ANM) methods achieved gridless SMV line spectrum estimation, but its computational complexity is extremely high;thus, it is practically infeasible in real applications with large problem scales. Our proposed GDLS method reformulates the line spectrum estimations problem into a least-squares (LSs) estimation problem and solves the corresponding objective function via a gradient descent algorithm in an iterative fashion with efficiency. The convergence guarantee, computational complexity, and performance analysis for evenly distributed antenna array cases are discussed in this article. Numerical simulations show that the proposed GDLS algorithm outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, for example, CS and ANM, in terms of estimation performances. It can completely avoid the off-grid problem, and its computational complexity is significantly lower than ANM. Our method has been tested in tomographic SAR (TomoSAR) imaging applications via simulated and real experimental data. Results show the great potential of the proposed method in terms of better cloud point performance and eliminating the gridding effect. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

The scarcity of fault samples presents a significant challenge for fault diagnosis in industrial processes. Conventional methods often fail to deliver satisfactory results when dealing with small sample sizes. In addressing the issue of small sample fault diagnosis in industrial processes, this paper utilizes the Variational Mode Reconstruction(VMR) algorithm to screen the best components decomposed by the Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD) through the envelope entropy then random weighting them and signal reconstruction to achieve data enhancement, to enrich the sample size and to prevent the model overfitting phenomenon due to the scarcity of samples. Meanwhile, this paper integrates Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-term Memory Neural Network (LSTM) to propose a network model of spatio-temporal feature fusion for feature extraction and classification. The experiments demonstrate that this model not only enhances data diversity but also ensures consistency before and after enhancement, effectively mitigating overfitting. Furthermore, it guarantees high recognition and generalization rates in fault diagnosis.

In the industrial domain, surface defect detection after multiple processing steps is crucial for improving the outgoing quality of products. However, due to the characteristics of surface defects, such as low contrast, irregular shapes, small and elongated features, and significant noise. To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel real-time high-resolution network (RHNet). Unlike previous models, RHNet emphasizes the importance of modeling spatial information to capture small defects. Therefore, the output feature maps of each module are maintained at 1/4 resolution of the original image. We introduce a short-term dual-branch module (SDBM) to handle real-time processing of high-resolution feature maps. Additionally, FPAPPM is proposed for swift extraction of deep information and multi-scale context. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate that our proposed model exhibits robust defect modeling capabilities and detection performance while still meeting real-time requirements. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

DNA has been used to construct a variety of nanoscale thermometers due to its unique thermodynamic properties. It has proven to be one of the most promising, yet challenging aspects of DNA-based thermometers, to obtain significant signal changes when the temperature changes slightly. Here, we propose a strategy to construct nanoscale thermometers with sensitive temperature responses based on DNA triplex. The thermometers consist of a CT-rich DNA strand and stabilizing strands, whose conformations vary with temperature. By adjusting the sequence design or introducing mismatch bases in stabilizing strands, the temperature response interval of the thermometer can be reduced to 7 ∘C, which lead to higher sensitivity compared to the interval of 12–15 ∘C for conventional designs. The temperature responses of the thermometer are characterized by fluorescence experiments. The fluorescence kinetics experiments demonstrate the good repeatability. The design of the nanothermometer will be helpful for constructing advanced nanosystem with sensitive temperature responses as well as long service times. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Traditional LiDAR SLAM approaches prioritize localization over mapping, yet high-precision dense maps are essential for numerous applications involving intelligent agents. Recent advancements have introduced methods leveraging neural fields to enhance mapping capabilities;however, these approaches still face several limitations. Firstly, concerning scene representation, they typically employ neural fields with high-dimensional features and multi-layer perceptron decoders utilizing non-continuous activation functions. This results in low learning efficiency and challenges in capturing high-frequency signals. Secondly, in terms of scene organization, these methods often treat the entire scene as a singular neural field, leading to inefficiencies, inflexibility, and difficulties in rectifying accumulated errors when mapping large-scale environments over extended periods. To tackle the first issue, we propose a lightweight continuous SDF regression approach by encoding the scene in single-valued embeddings and decoding SDF values from a Kolmogorov-Arnold Network. By minimizing discrepancies in measuring range, sampling distance, and decoded SDF values, we facilitate iterative frame-to-model tracking and bundle adjustment neural mapping. To mitigate the second challenge, we propose structuring the whole scene into multiple neural SDF submaps. By establishing node-node, node-submap, and loop closure constraints into a global pose graph, the system can create dense neural maps with global consistency across large-scale scenes. Experimental evaluations in both real-world and simulated settings indicate that our system achieves superior mapping completeness and accuracy, enhanced learning efficiency, reduced memory consumption, and greater flexibility compared to its counterparts. © 2025 IEEE.

DNA origami is one of the powerful techniques that utilize DNA as building blocks to synthesize nanostructures. Traditionally, through introducing different numbers of insertions and deletions of base pairs in DNA helices, the in-plane bending angle of curved DNA structures could be roughly tuned. Here, we explored a strategy that used the position patterns of nicks in staple strands to tune the geometric conformation of curved DNA origami structures, including in-plane bending, out-of-plane bending, and twisting angles. When the structure adopted different patterns of nicks positions, great difference appeared in the geometric properties. Further, by combining subunits of different nicks position patterns, the bending and twisting of the combined structure was effectively tuned. The strategy increases the design accuracy of curved DNA origami structures and expands the toolbox for designing DNA structures. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In the actual production of slot die coating,the minimum coating thickness and the maximum substrate moving speed could only be judged by production experience,and there was no accurate prediction model due to the nonlinear characteristics of fluid ***,building a reasonable and efficient prediction model for slot die coating is now an urgent and challenging *** this paper,an optimized extreme learning machine(ELM) based on improved beetle antennae search(IBAS) algorithm is proposed for slot die coating *** optimized ELM model can well learn the nonlinear characteristics of the system and make accurate predictions,thus solving the traditional inaccurate empirical *** the prediction accuracy of ELM depends on the selection of weights and biases,the IBAS optimization algorithm is used to quickly search for the optimal value of weights and biases in the ELM *** algorithm improves the generation mechanism of antennae on the basis of the original algorithm,so that the algorithm can converge *** the same time,the search strategy of the algorithm is improved to avoid falling into the local optimal *** predicting the production data of slit coating,the feasibility and effectiveness of IBAS-ELM model are proved.
