Due to the interconnection between devices in the optical transmission network (OTN), when one device fails and generates alarm information, a large number of other invalid alarms are generated in OTN. How to mining association rules in alarm data is an important problem. In this paper, we investigate the association rules mining problem based on a statistical method. First, we remove the chattering alarm in preprocess to reduce data redundancy. Second, we propose a statistics-based association rule mining algorithm. We use a sliding time window to scan the alarm data, and we exploit the matrix to record the corresponding results. According to the matrix, we calculate the support and confidence of association rules. Compared with other traditional association rule mining algorithms, the proposed algorithm does not need to set the minimum support artificially, and the obtained association rules have strong causality. Through extensive experiments on syn-thetic and real OTN alarm datasets, we verify the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm and the correctness of the obtained association rules. © 2022 IEEE.

As very important controllers in automated facto-ries, the correctness and safety of Programmable Logic controller (PLC) and their programs determine the stability of the production process. Structured Text (ST) is one of the most widely used PLC programming languages. However, there are not enough formal semantics and different venders may have their own implementations. In this work, a visual executable semantic model ST-Petri for ST has been proposed. The model uses Petri nets to formally represent ST semantics while using graphs to visualise program control flow. To validate the correctness of the semantic model, we use programs from Github and mutations of existing source programs as a test set to execute and compare the results with the open source OpenPLC platform. Experimental results show that ST-Petri has significant advantages in terms of compilation pass rate and error indication as a semantic model and a ST program compiler.

Spatial Decomposition and Temporal Fusion based Inter Prediction for Learned Video Compression

Video compression performance is closely related to the accuracy of inter prediction. It tends to be difficult to obtain accurate inter prediction for the local video regions with inconsistent motion and occlusion. Traditional video coding standards propose various technologies to handle motion inconsistency and occlusion, such as recursive partitions, geometric partitions, and long-term references. However, existing learned video compression schemes focus on obtaining an overall minimized prediction error averaged over all regions while ignoring the motion inconsistency and occlusion in local regions. In this paper, we propose a spatial decomposition and temporal fusion based inter prediction for learned video compression. To handle motion inconsistency, we propose to decompose the video into structure and detail (SDD) components first. Then we perform SDD-based motion estimation and SDD-based temporal context mining for the structure and detail components to generate short-term temporal contexts. To handle occlusion, we propose to propagate long-term temporal contexts by recurrently accumulating the temporal information of each historical reference feature and fuse them with short-term temporal contexts. With the SDD-based motion model and long short-term temporal contexts fusion, our proposed learned video codec can obtain more accurate inter prediction. Comprehensive experimental results demonstrate that our codec outperforms the reference software of H.266/VVC on all common test datasets for both PSNR and MS-SSIM. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. We investigate the consensus problem of multi-agent systems with linear dynamics via a fully distributed event-triggered approach. To solve this problem, we present a fully distributed control strategy with an innovative event-triggered mechanism, where a clock variable is introduced to guarantee the existence of strictly positive minimum inter-event times (MIETs). Compared with existing results, the proposed event-triggered mechanism provides more flexibility for the clock variable, improving inter-event times. A positive lower bound of MIETs is derived, and is shown to be larger than those in previous works. The main results are illustrated with a numerical example.

During the flight control system testing (FCST), it is crucial to accurately measure the deflection angles of flight control surfaces to determine whether they respond precisely to commands. However, the traditional measurement method, which relies on the manual use of angle measuring rulers for inspections, is inefficient, prone to wear, and lacks precision. To address this issue, we introduce a vision-based angle measurement method for FCST that replaces manual measurements, thereby significantly enhancing testing efficiency and accuracy. Our proposed triangular mesh alignment based angle measurement algorithm (TMA-AM) is a non-contact measurement method that involves two key procedures, capturing 3D coordinates from images and calculating deflection angles. The TMA-AM algorithm converts deflected angles into angular differences between two coordinate systems, while accounting for the curved characteristics of control surfaces. We evaluate TMA-AM algorithm on a 3D-printed wing test platform and an aircraft wing test platform. Experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves high accuracy, with an average angular measurement error below 0.05 ○ .

In this paper, we investigate the distributed optimization problem for heterogeneous linear multi-agent systems with unknown disturbances. By applying the primal-dual method and the time-scale separation technique, a distributed dynamic controller without using any disturbance information is proposed. Based on the optimal condition, the relationship between the optimal solution and the equilibrium point of the system is established, and it is shown that the distributed optimization problem is solved provided that the closed-loop system is stable. Then, inspired by the nonsingular perturbation analysis, it is proved that the closed-loop system is exponentially input-to-state stable with respect to the derivative of the disturbance. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the theoretical results.

Network resilience generally refers to the ability of a network to maintain normal operation in the face of various failures and disturbances, which has many applications in social, financial, communication, and transportation systems. There is a large amount of research on designing strategies to disrupt the network from the perspective of attack and to protect the network from the defense standpoint. However, attacks and defenses in the real world often occur simultaneously and repeatedly. The study of network resilience should not be limited to the structural characteristics but should consider the functional characteristics of the network. We develop a general game-theoretic framework to study attack-defense repeated interactions on complex net-works and examine the possibility of achieving precise control over the payoffs of attackers and defenders. Our findings reveal that neither the attacker nor the defender can unilaterally control their own payoff, the opponent's payoff, or any linear combination thereof. This work highlights the limitations of unilateral payoff control in real-world interaction scenarios, a consideration often overlooked in numerous theoretical studies.

In industrial sites, multiple real-time control systems often share computing resources. However, burst computing tasks may lead to the random dropping of control computing subtasks, resulting in control failures and potential hazards. To address this issue, we propose an energy-efficient safety-aware task scheduling scheme based on mixed-integer programming. When burst computing tasks are triggered, this scheduling scheme adaptively releases resources from low-criticality control computing sub tasks and adjusts the processor speed based on the dynamic voltage and frequency scaling technology (DVFS), ensuring the timely completion of burst computing tasks and keeping the control system state deviation within a safe threshold. To achieve the scheduling scheme, we propose an efficient algorithm called EESASA. Simulation results show that EESASA can minimize the overall cost of control and processor energy while ensuring the safety of the control system and the timely completion of burst computing tasks.

In mobile crowdsensing, there are generally two types of tasks, popular tasks, and unpopular tasks. For popular tasks, many people can perform that task, and the budget is overallocated. For unpopular tasks, fewer or no one is willing to complete them. How to motivate users to complete different popularity tasks during their work time is a challenging problem. In this paper, we design a task priority-aware incentive mechanism to solve this problem. First, we use hierarchical clustering to classify tasks into different priorities by considering their budgets, deadlines, and density distribution. The higher the task priority, the higher the extra rewards and credits the participating users get. To motivate more users to perform unpopular tasks, we give high priority to unpopular tasks. Then, we propose a greedy algorithm that allows more users to do high-priority tasks. However, too many budget adjustments can cause most users to do unpopular tasks as users are obsessed with their income. To prevent users from all selecting high-priority tasks, we further propose a differential privacy-based algorithm to protect task priority and reduce users' attention to their income. This algorithm protects users' income and allows users to focus more on task characteristics, such as task distribution and task deadline. Through many experiments in the reality Roma dataset, we evaluate two proposed algorithms compared with other solutions. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper investigates the problems of H ∞ consensus control for high-order fully actuated multi-agent systems (HOFAMASs) with external disturbances. By utilizing the characteristics of high-order fully actuated systems (HOFASs), the distributed control protocols are designed, eliminating all nonlinear characteristics of open loop systems while establishing new closed-loop dynamic characteristics. Then, the H ∞ consensus problems of HOFAMASs are addressed. The corresponding parameters to be designed in the distributed control protocols are given by using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A novel multi-spacecraft attitude model is proposed based on HOFASs. An illustrative example of the multi-spacecraft attitude model is given, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness and application of the results proposed in this paper.
