ColorDynamic: Generalizable, Scalable, Real-time, End-to-end Local Planner for Unstructured and Dynamic Environments

Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) has demonstrated potential in addressing robotic local planning problems, yet its efficacy remains constrained in highly unstructured and dynamic environments. To address these challenges, this study proposes the ColorDynamic framework. First, an end-to-end DRL formulation is established, which maps raw sensor data directly to control commands, thereby ensuring compatibility with unstructured environments. Under this formulation, a novel network, Transqer, is introduced. The Transqer enables online DRL learning from temporal transitions, substantially enhancing decision-making in dynamic scenarios. To facilitate scalable training of Transqer with diverse data, an efficient simulation platform E-Sparrow, along with a data augmentation technique leveraging symmetric invariance, are developed. Comparative evaluations against state-of-the-art methods, alongside assessments of generalizability, scalability, and real-time performance, were conducted to validate the effectiveness of ColorDynamic. Results indicate that our approach achieves a success rate exceeding 90% while exhibiting real-time capacity (1.2–1.3 ms per planning). Additionally, ablation studies were performed to corroborate the contributions of individual components. Building on this, the OkayPlan-ColorDynamic (OPCD) navigation system is presented, with simulated and real-world experiments demonstrating its superiority and applicability in complex scenarios. The technology of software-defined changing all areas of life, but the equipment storage system in the field of application is still in its infancy. At present, the traditional equipment warehousing scheduling system is difficult to meet the new needs of rapid scheduling and flexible maintenance of large quantities of equipment. Based on the development and application characteristics of software definition technology, this paper integrates the traditional equipment storage scheduling system and presents the research on the architecture design technology of equipment storage scheduling system under software definition technology. This paper clarifies the key application technologies of the system, realizes the design of new open system architecture based on software-defined technology and the optimization design of system center service platform architecture, and improves the architecture design ability of automation, configuration ability, and easy maintenance of the existing equipment storage scheduling system. Temperature Prediction for Stored Grain: A Multi-model Fusion Approach Based on Machine Learning

Temperature fluctuations significantly affect microorganism growth and pest activity in grain stacks. Thus, precise monitoring and forecasting of grain stack temperature are essential for maintaining the quality and safety of grain storage. This paper proposes a multi-model fusion approach to predict grain temperature using historical temperature data of stored grains and meteorological data from the region. Based on the proposed approaches, four distinct machine learning models, namely Adaboost, decision tree, extra trees, and random forest, are first developed. These models are then fine-tuned through parameter optimization to enhance their predictive capabilities. Subsequently, the optimized models are combined to form different ensemble models. In essence, the fusion process integrates the predictions of each individual model as new feature inputs into the prediction model. Furthermore, the study utilizes the random forest to identify the key factors influencing grain temperature, providing insights into the importance of different influencing factors. The experimental results demonstrate that the fusion models proposed in this paper have achieved higher prediction accuracy and robustness compared with the traditional prediction methods (i.e., single-model prediction). Additionally, the analysis of feature importance also offers empirical evidence for understanding the factors influencing grain temperature. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

It is necessary to regularly detect faults to maintain the safety and stability of power lines. Insulators are one of the important electrical components in high-voltage transmission lines. It is extremely necessary to check the working status of insulators regularly. Traditional manual inspection is inefficient because it requires a significant amount of labor costs. In this paper, a method for detecting insulators' missing defect based on aerial images is proposed to address the issue by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Firstly, the improved Faster R-CNN (region-based convolutional neural network) is used to identify and locate insulators in aerial images. Secondly, the U-Net image segmentation network segments insulators from the images. The adaptive threshold segmentation method completely separates the insulator from the background. Then the binary image of the insulator is obtained. Finally, the binary image is converted into a fault curve which is used for determining the missing insulators based on the distribution of the fault curve. By using collected insulator datasets on a 330kV overhead transmission line using a DJI M300 UAV platform and an onboard H20T camera/sensor, the detection accuracy of glass insulators is as high as 0.98 with the proposed algorithm. The positioning accuracy of the proposed algorithm is also higher than other algorithms. This method has high detection accuracy for missing defects in insulators. The experimental results show that compared with similar algorithms, this method has higher accuracy and efficiency.

This paper takes the dual water jet propulsion USV as the research object, and studies formation obstacle avoidance optimization problem. An integrative APF algorithm is proposed to merge path planning and trajectory tracking into one optimization problem, where adaptive searching step is adopted to guarantee that the planned trajectory is reachable. In addition, a distance-triggered codesign of integrative APF and MPC is presented to maintain formation during the obstacle avoidance process. Finally, the results in MATLAB simulation demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the algorithm.

The traditional experimental teaching method is single, and students lack learning initiative and creativity, which leads to the problem of insufficient teaching quality. Therefore, this paper proposes a virtual experiment online teaching system of university economics and management based on virtualization technology. Firstly, optimize the system hardware structure and improve the allowable effect of system equipment configuration. Then, the three-tier structure of customer layer, application service layer and data layer is used to optimize the system software functions, and simplify the working principle and multi-layer architecture of the online virtual experiment system based on B/S mode, so as to achieve the online teaching goal of economic and management virtual experiment in colleges and universities.
