The variations of the radiation damage induced by radiation from protons and heavy ions on Cascode GaN HEMTs are comparatively studied. 300 MeV proton and 500 MeV heavy ion irradiation are carried out for AlGaN/GaN HEMTs. Findings from the study indicate that exposure to a proton flux of 300 MeV, reaching a cumulative level of 1×1011 cm-2, leads to a reduction in the output current. Concurrently, there is a downward adjustment of 0.27 volts in the turn-on voltage, along with a 5.59% decline in the peak transconductance. Following irradiation, the creation of traps within the device’s channel layer results in a decline in its electrical efficiency. Under 500 MeV heavy ion irradiation with a total fluence of 3.167×105cm-2, a significant leakage current increase is observed when a drain bias of 100 volts is applied. An enhancement in the output current is observed, accompanied by a 0.11V downward adjustment in the voltage at which the channel forms and a significant 70.17% diminution in peak transconductance. Additionally, instances of single event burnout (SEB) are detectable when the drain bias exceeds 150 V. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Most research on antibiotics in the environment disregards chiral antibiotics,such as ofloxacin(OF).In this study,tadpoles of Rana nigromaculata were exposed to 1μg/L OF and levofloxacin(LVFX,an enantiomer of OF)for 75 *** with dextrofloxacin,LVFX treatment had a greater effect on the inhibition of bodyweight,body length,development stage,and pathological liver ***,OF exerts a stereoselective inhibitory effect on both growth and development,which is consistent with the results at the systemic metabolism *** analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes between OF and LVFX were mainly immune *** metabolomics showed that the stereoselective biological effect of OF on *** was caused by differences in contents of PE-O 16:0-22:4,PE 16:0-14:0,TAG 45:0-FA16:0,PE-P 18:0-16:0,PE 16:0-16:0,PC 16:0-22:4+AcO,PE 18:1-18:3,PC 16:1-18:1+AcO,and PC 18:1-18:3+***,two enantiomers of OF were selectively bound to enzymes related to lipid *** study provides both theoretical and practical references for the accurate evaluation and scientific control of the ecological risk of chiral antibiotics.

Structure and corrosion behavior of FeCoCrNiMo high-entropy alloy coatings prepared by mechanical alloying and plasma spraying

FeCoCrNiMox composite powders were prepared using the mechanical alloying technique and made into high-entropy alloy(HEA)coatings with the face-centered cubic phase using plasma spraying to address the element segregation problem in HEAs and pre-pare uniform HEA *** electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray diffractometry were employed to characterize these coatings’microstructure and phase *** hardness,elastic modulus,and fracture toughness of coatings were tested,and the corrosion resistance was analyzed in simulated *** show that the hardness of the coating is HV0.1606.15,the modulus of elasticity is 128.42 GPa,and the fracture toughness is 43.98 MPa·m^(1/2).The corrosion potential of the coating in 3.5wt%NaCl solution is-0.49 V,and the corrosion current density is 1.2×10^(−6)A/cm^(2).The electrochemical system comprises three parts:the electrolyte,the adsorption and metallic oxide films produced during immersion,and the FeCoNiCrMo HEA *** in-creasingly long periods,the corrosion reaction rate increases first and then decreases,the corrosion product film comprising metal oxides reaches a dynamic balance between formation and dissolution,and the internal reaction of the coating declines.

In order to eliminate the DC-side power pulsation of high-voltage direct-mounted battery storage systems, a bridge-arm multiplexed symmetrical half-bridge power decoupling structure is constructed to achieve decoupling control of the pulsating power. Firstly, the causes of pulsation power generation and the principle of decoupling control are described. Then, a virtual quadrature is constructed by applying the Second-Order-Generalized-Integrator and the mathematical model of power decoupling control in DQ coordinate system is obtained by coordinate transformation. On this basis, the corresponding passive controller is designed according to the passive control theory, and the power decoupling control strategy is proposed in combination with the pulsating voltage feedforward. Finally, a simulation model is established in PLECS, and the simulation results verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed power decoupling control strategy. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Sulfur vacancies-induced“Electron Bridge”in Ni_(4)Mo/Sv-Zn_(x)Cd_(1-x)S regulates electron transfer for efficient H_(2)-releasing photocatalysis

Despite the existence of plentiful photocatalyst heterojunctions,their separation efficiency and charge flow precision remain low on account of lacking interfacial ***,through a defect-induced heterojunction constructing strategy,Ni4Mo alloys were in-situ grown on the unsaturated coordinated sulfur atoms of sulfur vacancies-rich ZCS(Sv-ZCS)via interfacial Ni-S covalent *** experimental and theoretical results reveal that these unsaturated sulfur atoms induced by sulfur vacancies vastly facilitate to anchor more Ni-Mo nanoparticles and form abundant Ni-S covalent bonds,meanwhile,these sulfur vacancies could form dual internal electric field(IEF)and work with Ni-S covalent bonds as“Electron Bridge”to further accelerate photoelectrons transfer,as well as promote the activation of water molecules and the desorption of hydrogen ***,the optimized Ni_(4)Mo/Sv-ZCS composite achieves an improved photocatalytic hydrogen evolution(PHE)rate of 94.69 mmol h^(-1)g^(-1)without an evident decrease after 6 cycles of photocatalytic tests,which is 21.2 and 1.94 times higher than those of Pt/ZCS and Ni_(4)Mo/ZCS,*** tactic opens a new way for optimizing Zn_(x)Cd_(1-x)S-based heterojunctions by constructing sulfur vacancies and covalent bonds as“Electron Bridge”to enhance the activity of PHE.

A Secure Mutual Authentication Protocol Based on Visual Cryptography Technique for IoT-Cloud

Because of the increasing number of threats in the IoT cloud, an advanced security mechanism is needed to guard data against hacking or attacks. A user authentication mechanism is also required to authenticate the user accessing the cloud services. The conventional cryptographic algorithms used to provide security mechanisms in cloud networks are often vulnerable to various cyber-attacks and inefficient against new attacks. Therefore,developing new solutions based on different mechanisms from traditional cryptography methods is required to protect data and users' privacy from attacks. Different from the conventional cryptography method, we suggest a secure mutual authentication protocol based on the visual cryptography technique in this paper. We use visual cryptography to encrypt and decrypt the secret images. The mutual authentication is based on two secret images and *** user requests the ticket from the authentication server(AS) to obtain the permission for accessing the cloud services. Three shared secret keys are used for encrypting and decrypting the authentication process. We analyze the protocol using the Barrows-Abadi-Needham(BAN)-logic method and the results show that the protocol is robust and can protect the user against various attacks. Also, it can provide a secure mutual authentication mechanism.

Deep coal-energy mining frequently results in microseismic(MS)events,which may be a precursor to the risk of rockbursts and pose risks to human safety and ***,quantitatively predicting the time,energy,and location(TEL)of future MS events is crucial for understanding and preventing potential catastrophic *** this study,we introduced the application of spatiotemporal graph convolutional networks(STGCN)to predict the TEL of MS events induced by deep coal-energy ***,this was the first application of graph convolution networks(GCNs)in the spatiotemporal prediction of MS *** adjacency matrices of the sensor networks were determined based on the distance between MS sensors,the sensor network graphs we constructed,and GCN was employed to extract the spatiotemporal details of the *** model is simple and *** testing the model with on-site MS monitoring data,our results demonstrated promising efficacy in predicting the TEL of MS events,with the cosine similarity(C)above 0.90 and the mean relative error(MRE)below *** is critical to improving the safety and operational efficiency of deep coal-energy mining.

Salinity-driven nitrogen removal and bacteria community compositions in microbial fuel cell–integrated constructed wetlands

The effects of salinity gradients (500–4000 mg·L−1 NaCl) on electricity generation, nitrogen removal, and microbial community were investigated in a constructed wetland-microbial fuel cell (CW-MFC) system. The result showed that power density significantly increased from 7.77 mW m−2 to a peak of 34.27 mW m−2 as salinity rose, indicating enhanced electron transfer capabilities under saline conditions. At a moderate salinity level of 2000 mg·L−1 NaCl, the removal efficiencies of NH4+–N and TN reached their maximum at 77.34 ± 7.61% and 48.45 ± 8.14%, respectively. This could be attributed to increased microbial activity and the presence of critical nitrogen-removal organisms, such as Nitrospira and unclassified Betaproteobacteria at the anode, as well as Bacillus, unclassified Rhizobiales, Sphingobium, and Simplicispira at the cathode. Additionally, this salinity corresponded with the highest abundance of Exiguobacterium (3.92%), a potential electrogenic bacterium, particularly at the cathode. Other microorganisms, including Geobacter, unclassified Planctomycetaceae, and Thauera, adapted well to elevated salinity, thereby enhancing both electricity generation and nitrogen removal. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Microstructure evolution and precipitation behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloy during initial aging

The microstructure evolution and precipitation behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloy during initial aging were studied using hardness testing, conductivity testing, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), and high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM). The results show that the precipitation sequence of the Al-Mg-Si alloy during initial aging can be represented as: supersaturated solid solution → spherical Mg/Si clusters → needle-like Guinier Preston(GP) zone → β″. Clusters are completely coherent with the Al matrix. The GP zone with relatively complete independent lattice parameters that differ slightly from the Al matrix parameters, is oriented along the direction of <111>Aland lying on {111}Alplane. The strength of the Al-Mg-Si alloy is greatly enhanced by the threedimensional strain field that exists between the β″ phase and the two {200}Alplanes. After aging at 170 ℃ for 6 h, the hardness reaches the peak of 127 HV and remains for a long time. At this stage, the electrical conductivity keeps relatively stable due to the formation of coherent precipitates(Mg/Si clusters/GP zones) and the reduction in solute atom concentration in the Al matrix. The severe coarsening and decreased number density of the β″ phase during the over-aging stage result in a significant decrease in the hardness.
