Pd Pt VO_(x)/CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2):Highly efficient catalysts with good sulfur dioxide-poisoning reversibility for the oxidative removal of ethylbenzene

The PdPtVO_(x)/CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)(PdPtVO_(x)/CZO)catalysts were obtained by using different approaches,and their physical and chemical properties were determined by various *** activities of these materials in the presence of H_(2)O or SO_(2)were evaluated for the oxidation of ethylbenzene(EB).The PdPtVO_(x)/CZO sample exhibited high catalytic activity,good hydrothermal stability,and reversible sulfur dioxide-poisoning performance,over which the specific reaction rate at 160℃,turnover frequency at 160℃(TOF_(Pd or Pt)),and apparent activation energy were 72.6 mmol/(g_(Pt)·sec)or 124.2 mmol/(g_(Pd)·sec),14.2 sec^(-1)(TOF_(Pt))or 13.1 sec^(-1)(TOF_(Pd)),and 58 k J/mol,*** large EB adsorption capacity,good reducibility,and strong acidity contributed to the good catalytic performance of PdPtVO_(x)/*** activity of PdPtVO_(x)/CZO decreased when 50 ppm SO_(2)or(1.0 vol.%H_(2)O+50 ppm SO_(2))was added to the feedstock,but was gradually restored to its initial level after the SO_(2)was cut *** good reversible sulfur dioxide-resistant performance of PdPtVO_(x)/CZO was associated with the facts:(i)the introduction of SO_(2)leads to an increase in surface acidity;(ii)V can adsorb and activate SO_(2),thus accelerating formation of the SO_(x)^(2-)(x=3 or 4)species at the V and CZO sites,weakening the adsorption of sulfur species at the PdPt active sites,and hence protecting the PdPt active sites to be not poisoned by SO_(2).EB oxidation over PdPtVO_(x)/CZO might take place via the route of EB→styrene→phenyl methyl ketone→benzaldehyde→benzoic acid→maleic anhydride→CO_(2)and H_(2)O.

Automatic Generation of Intelligent Vehicle Testing Scenarios at Intersections Based on Natural Driving Datasets

Turning right at a junction without the aid of traffic signals is a frequent cause of intersection accidents and a situation that intelligent automobiles will need to handle well in the future. This allows this study to choose the traffic circumstances of turning right at junctions and traveling straight through them. It then suggests an automatic approach for creating test scenarios for intelligent vehicles based on Monte Carlo simulation. Through the examination of scene feature parameters and a natural driving dataset, a Markov chain-based right-turn trajectory model was created. Then, test vehicle trajectories and right-turn trajectories were produced using Monte Carlo simulations. By figuring out the average DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) value between the created and actual right-turn trajectories in the four speed intervals with the highest occurrence probabilities, the authenticity of the generated right-turn trajectories was confirmed. The produced trajectories were simultaneously loaded into the software for cooperative simulation. The AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system's shortcomings were shown by extracting the relative positions of the two cars before to the incident. The two popular varieties of AEB algorithm models were then compared using safety and comfort parameters. Furthermore, the test scenario's risk level can be managed by changing the scenario feature settings. There are some potential uses for the suggested test scenario generation method in the testing and assessment of algorithms for intelligent vehicles. IEEE

Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)are emerging as new technologies to harvest electrical power from mechanical *** the distinctive working mechanism of triboelectric nanogenerators,they attract particular interest in healthcare monitoring,wearable electronics,and deformable energy harvesting,which raises the requirement for highly conformable devices with substantial energy ***,a simple,low-cost strategy for fabricating stretchable triboelectric nanogenerators with ultra-high electrical output is *** TENG is prepared using PTFE micron particles(PPTENG),contributing a different electrostatic induction process compared to TENG based on dielectric films,which was associated with the dynamics of particle motions in *** generator achieved an impressive voltage output of 1000 V with a current of 25 lA over a contact area of 40320 mm^(2).Additionally,the TENG exhibits excellent durability with a stretching strain of 500%,and the electrical output performance does not show any significant degradation even after 3000 cycles at a strain of 400%.The unique design of the device provides high conformability and can be used as a self-powered sensor for human motion detection.

The response and anti-stress mechanisms of nitrifying sludge under long-term exposure to Cd Se quantum dots

The wide application of CdSe quantum dots(QDs)increases its stress risk to sewage treatment *** study evaluated the response of nitrification performance,floc characteristics and microbial community of nitrifying sludge under long-term exposure to CdSe *** showed CdSe QDs(≥1 mg/L)would decrease the activity of ammonia monooxygenase(AMO).Under the stress of 30 mg/L CdSe QDs,the activity of AMO was reduced by 66%,while the activities of hydroxylamine oxidase and nitrite oxidoreductase were enhanced by 19.1%and 26%,***,the final nitrification effects were not adversely affected,and the production rates of NO_(2)^(-)-N and NO_(3)^(-)-N were ***,CdSe QDs improved biomass concentration in sludge and maintained the stability of sludge *** throughput sequencing analysis showed that CdSe QDs evidently reduced the abundance and diversity of microbial community in nitrifying *** abundances of amino acid metabolism and lipid metabolism were ***,CdSe QDs decreased the fluorescence intensity of tryptophan-like protein from 2,326 to 1,179 *** loosely bound extracellular polymeric substances(EPSs)and from 3,792 to 3,117 *** tightly bound *** relieve CdSe QD stress,the polysaccharide content increased from0.31 to 0.61 mg/g MLSS and intracellular antioxidant defense was *** CdSe QD level increasing to 30 mg/L,the total antioxygenic capacity and the activities of catalase were enhanced up to 411%and 143.2%,***,CdSe QDs had little adverse effects on cell membrane integrity,microbial metabolism and the abundance of Nitrospirae.

Conventional thermosetting polymers,mostly derived from nonrenewable petroleum resources,are not reprocessable and recyclable due to their highly cross-linked three-dimensional networks and face the disadvantage of high *** solve these issues,in this study,we synthesized a novel Schiff base covalent adaptable thermoset from a furan-derived tri-aldehyde monomer(TMFP)and a furan-derived di-amine monomer(DFDA).The as-prepared TMFP-DFDA-Vitrimer exhibited superior anti-flammability with a high limiting oxygen index(LOI)of 35.0%and a UL-94 V-0 rating,which was attributed to the excellent charring ***,TMFPDFDA-Vitrimer could also be conveniently recycled by chemical decomposition under a mixed hydrochloric acid/tetrahydrofuran(HCl/THF)*** recycling for 5 times,the thermal,mechanical,and flame retardant properties of the recycled TMFP-DFDA-Vitrimer retained almost unchanged compared to the original *** work provides a prime instance to develop advanced thermosetting polymers from abundant furan-based compounds.

Hardware-in-the-loop simulation technology plays an important role in the flight performance and safety test of UAV flight control system. The hardware-in-the-loop simulation method can excavate the potential faults of the flight control system, optimize and adjust the flight control algorithm in time, and lay a foundation for ensuring the safety of outfield flight. In this paper, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation based fault injection method for UAV flight control sensor was proposed. Mathematical models and fault mechanism models of flight control sensors such as gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer were constructed. The UAV body model and sensor fault simulation model were established in Simulink environment to form a hardware-in-the-loop simulation system. The sensor fault injection test based on flight control hardware in the loop simulation was carried out. The test results showed that the built flight control hardware in the loop simulation system could effectively simulate the flight control sensor fault and test the flight performance of the flight control sensor under the condition of failure. © 2024 IEEE.

This study comprehensively investigates the effects of annealing on the structural,electrochemical properties and passivation film characteristics of Ti_(20)Zr_(20)Hf_(20)Be_(20)Ni_(20)(at%)high-entropy metallic glass(HE-MG).Subjected to various annealing temperatures,the samples were analyzed in a 3.5 wt%NaCl solution to evaluate changes in their microstructure and assess their corrosion *** reveal that the HE-MG undergoes multistage crystallization,displaying an amorphous matrix integrated with face centered cubic(FCC)and Ni_(7)Zr_(2)phases between 420 and 500℃,indicating robust thermal *** assessments identify a critical temperature threshold:Below the glass transition temperature(Tg),the HE-MG maintains excellent corrosion resistance,promoting stable passivation *** Tg,enhanced long-range atomic rearrangement during relaxation increases passivation layer defects and significantly diminishes corrosion resistance.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analyses show that the primary components of the passivation layer are TiO_(2),ZrO_(2),HfO_(2)and *** annealing temperatures lead to enhanced Be and Ni content and decreased Ti,Zr and ***,high mixing entropy and significant atomic size mismatch suppress long-range atomic rearrangement and *** crystallization begins above Tg by_(20)℃,with crystalline phases evenly distributed within the matrix without drastically affecting corrosion *** investigation highlights the impact of thermal treatment on the properties of HE-MG,contributing valuable insights into optimizing their performance and applications.

Efficient piezocatalytic activation of peroxydisulfate over Bi_(2)Fe_(4)O_(9):thickness-dependent synergy effect between peroxydisulfate activation and piezocatalysis

Piezocatalytic activation of persulfate(PS) has great application potential in environmental remediation;however,the relationship between piezocatalyst thickness and catalytic activity is not clear,limiting the further improvement of catalytic activity and application of the ***,the Bi_(2)Fe_(4)O_(9)(BFO) piezocatalysts with tunable thickness were prepared through a facile hydrothermal method by tuning the molar ratio of Bi(NO_(3)),5H_(2)O and FeCl_(3)·6H_(2)O for piezocatalytic activation of peroxydisulfate(PDS).The BFO with the smallest thickness exhibits excellent catalytic activity,and the SO_(4)^(·-)and ·OH are the major reactive oxygen species for degrading organic *** XPS investigations and finite element analyses demonstrate that the decreased thickness of BFO not only exposes more Fe^(2+)sites for PDS activation,but also improve the piezoelectric effect to accelerate the regeneration of Fe^(2+),thus enabling an enhanced synergy effect between PDS activation and piezocatalysis for outstanding catalytic *** work provides an understanding of the relationship between thickness of piezocatalysts and its catalytic activity over PDS activation,facilitating the development of more efficient piezocatalysts and PS-based advanced oxidation processes.
