In recent years, the digital cryptocurrency market has witnessed rapid development, but its asset allocation function has yet to be verified. In this paper, DCC-GARCH model is used to estimate the dynamic correlation between digital cryptocurrency and current mainstream assets, and the corresponding hedging effect of digital cryptocurrency is studied. Then, three mainstream asset allocation strategies are selected to analyze the risk and return of asset allocation portfolio after adding digital cryptocurrency, which verifies the asset allocation utility of digital cryptocurrency. This study can provide investment basis for investors and has certain theoretical and practical significance. © 2022 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Considering multi-dimensional concepts of liquidity, we introduces two classical liquidity measures to quantify the liquidity of China carbon emission allowance(CCEA) trading markets, and analyze their trading activities. Then monthly unbalanced panel was constructed based on daily trading data to further study on the influencing factors of CCEA market. We find that: 1) No matter what method we take, the Hubei pilot is the most liquid in the context of overall running periods, and the national carbon market and Guangdong pilot are also well performed compared to the other markets. 2)The foundation of national generalized market could bring about noticeable changes on the liquidity of carbon market, and Guangdong market which is one of the 8 carbon market pilots become more developed and liquid, while no significant variation in the rest of 7 pilots. 3) The emission control enterprises of each pilot have no inborn incentive to trade proactively, therefore transactions are concentrated on the performance cycle. 4)Regression results show that the price at the end of each month, trading volumes aggregated in each month, trading frequency of each month are all positively correlated with the liquidity, and return volatility of each month, carbon market fragmentation are negatively related to the liquidity. Finally we put forward some suggestion and policy recommendation rested on the above qualitative and quantitative analysis. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. As an emerging form of marketing, live streaming has a positive effect on the ability of e-Commerce platforms to attract traffic and increase sales. It has become another important competitive area in the industry. Based on an alternative learning theory model, the influencing factors of live streaming on e-Commerce platforms are studied, and the data findings can be applied to brand marketing and platform performance improvement. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted using tens of thousands of live-streaming data, and the findings show that live interaction and live streamer follower accumulation have a significant positive effect on the number of sold users. Through the empirical study of real data, this paper inspires participants to fully embrace the effect of live streaming and enhance the consumer shopping experience. © 2022 The Authors. This paper has sorted out the general logic of the impact of COVID-19 on energy consumption. In the short term, the epidemic has forced governments to adopt different levels of lockdown measures. The total electricity consumption decreased and the share of renewable energy has increased. Based on the International Energy Agency's (IEA) data on electricity production and consumption, this paper analyzes the long-term effects: The COVID-19 pandemic does affect overall electricity demand and market structure in the short term, but in the long term, the impact of the pandemic is detrimental to the proportion of electricity generated from renewable sources. Increased, especially in hard-hit countries. The impact on countries with different levels of development is different, and countries with higher levels of economic development are better able to resist such exogenous shocks. The pandemic is still ongoing, how to steadily promote sustainable development? In this paper we suggest that to cope with climate change, to accomplish energy transformation and upgrading or even sustainable development, we should not only rely on reducing human activities, but give more support to countries with low development levels in realizing sustainable development. © 2022 The Authors. House price expectations(HPE)is a key factor affecting housing market *** Beijing as an example,this study innovatively proposes an internet data-based measurement of HPE and text analysis-based quantification of media reports from media attention and media *** model is performed to empirically test the impact of media reports on the level and accuracy of *** empirical results show no significant relationship between media attention and the level of HPE,but a significant relationship to the accuracy of *** higher the media attention(i.e.,the more intensive the media reports),the smaller the deviation between HPE and actual housing *** attitude of media reports is significantly related to the level and accuracy of *** is easier to guide the formation of HPE through media reports with clear opinions,indicating that media could promote the sustainable development of the real estate market.

Challenges to Engineering management in the big data Era

This paper presents a review of the challenges to engineering management in the big data Era as well as the big data applications. First, it outlines the definitions of big data, data science and intelligent knowledge and the history of big data. Second, the paper reviews the academic activities about big data in China. Then, it elaborates a number of challenging big data problems, including transforming semi-structured and non-structured data into"structured format" and explores the relationship of data heterogeneity, knowledge heterogeneity and decision heterogeneity. Furthermore, the paper reports various real-life applications of big data, such as financial and petroleum engineering and internet business.

As one of the important research topics in machine learning, loss function plays an important role in the construction of machine learning algorithms and the improvement of their performance, which has been concerned and explored by many researchers. But it still has a big gap to summarize, analyze and compare the classical loss functions. Therefore, this paper summarizes and analyzes 31 classical loss functions in machine learning. Specifically, we describe the loss functions from the aspects of traditional machine learning and deep learning respectively. The former is divided into classification problem, regression problem and unsupervised learning according to the task type. The latter is subdivided according to the application scenario, and here we mainly select object detection and face recognition to introduces their loss functions. In each task or application, in addition to analyzing each loss function from formula, meaning, image and algorithm, the loss functions under the same task or application are also summarized and compared to deepen the understanding and provide help for the selection and improvement of loss function. © 2020, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

On September 5, 2015, the State Council of Chinese Government, China’s cabinet formally announced its Action Framework for Promoting big data (***, 2015). This is the milestone for China to catch up the global wave of big data. Since 2012 big data became a hot issue for scientific communities as well as the governments of many countries (Lazer et al. in Science 343:1203–1205, 2014;Einav et al. in Science 345:715, 2014;Cate in Science 346:818, 2014;Khoury and Ioannidis in Science 346:1054–1055, 2014). At the 2013 G8 Summit, the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, U.S.A. and United Kingdom agreed on an "open government plan" (***/government/publications/open-data-charter/g8-open-data-charter-and-technical-annex, 2013). China’s framework, however, mainly emphasizes the integration of all trans-departmental data and establishes a number of government-driven national big data platforms so as to provide big data services to research, public and enterprises. The framework not only demonstrates a strong commitment of the Chinese government on big data, but also covers a wide range of governmental branches, enterprises and institutions far more than that of other countries. In addition, the framework shows an interpretation of big data that differs from other countries. The Area Under the ROC Curve (AUC) is a well-known metric for evaluating instance-level long-tail learning problems. In the past two decades, many AUC optimization methods have been proposed to improve model performance under long-tail distributions. In this paper, we explore AUC optimization methods in the context of pixel-level long-tail semantic segmentation, a much more complicated scenario. This task introduces two major challenges for AUC optimization techniques. On one hand, AUC optimization in a pixel-level task involves complex coupling across loss terms, with structured inner-image and pairwise inter-image dependencies, complicating theoretical analysis. On the other hand, we find that mini-batch estimation of AUC loss in this case requires a larger batch size, resulting in an unaffordable space complexity. To address these issues, we develop a pixel-level AUC loss function and conduct a dependency-graph-based theoretical analysis of the algorithm's generalization ability. Additionally, we design a Tail-Classes Memory Bank (T-Memory Bank) to manage the significant memory demand. Finally, comprehensive experiments across various benchmarks confirm the effectiveness of our proposed AUCSeg method. Relationship between Capital Operation and Market Value management of Listed Companies Based on Random Forest Algorithm

This paper analyzes the influence of capital operations on the performance of listed companies under different market conditions by combining various capital operations with market value management. Random Forest algorithm is adopted and other machine learning methods are used to compare. We find that capital operation is significantly related to market value management and different capital operations have different effects on companies in various conditions. The result shows Random Forest algorithm has the highest classification accuracy and is more stable under different thresholds. Our findings will help to establish a market or industry benchmark which provides a scientific basis and decision support to the target companies when they operate their capitals.
