The Multi-Hypothesis Tracking(MHT) method is one of the most promising approaches to realize automatic tracking of small and dim targets in complex space ***,the number of hypotheses generated by this algorithm has an exponentially increasing relationship with the number of trajectories,measurement data,and the number of image *** the paper,the automatic detection and tracking method of judging the confidence coefficient of the trajectory obtained by the MHT which is based on the characteristics of dim targets,has been realized in the IRST *** performance of this method is greatly improved.

A measurement of the ratio of the branching fractions, Rτ/e = B(W → τν)/B(W → eν), is performed using a sample of W bosons originating from top-quark decays to final states containing τ-leptons or electrons. This measurement uses pp collisions at $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV, collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider during Run 2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb−1. The W → τντ (with τ → eνeντ) and W → eνe decays are distinguished using the differences in the impact parameter distributions and transverse momentum spectra of the electrons. The measured ratio of branching fractions Rτ/e = 0.975 ± 0.012 (stat.) ± 0.020 (syst.), is consistent with the Standard Model assumption of lepton flavour universality in W-boson decays.

Compound extreme events and health risks in China: A review

Against the backdrop of global warming, China has been facing increasingly frequent and severe extreme weather and climate events, with a prominent risk of compound extreme events induced by interactions among multiple climate drivers and/or hazards. The present study first reviews the definition and classification of compound extreme events in China. Then, it summarizes research progress on the evolutionary characteristics, formation mechanisms, and future projections of different types of compound extreme events. The potential risks and possible impact pathways of three specific event types—namely, continuous day–night hot extremes, temperature–humidity compound events, and high-temperature–ozone compound events—on the health of the Chinese population are then explored. Finally, a framework for assessing the hazard risk of compound extreme events is constructed, accompanied by response strategies based on carbon neutrality targets. Building on existing research achievements, five future research directions are proposed: (1) identifying the risk chains of compound events; (2) addressing the constraints of observational records and coupled model performances; (3) attributing and understanding the drivers of compound extreme events; (4) finding optimal pathways for carbon reduction and air quality improvement; and (5) promoting inter-disciplinary, multi-regional, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Strengthening research in these directions will deepen our understanding of compound extreme events and provide technological support for climate change adaptation and health risk responses in China. 在全球变暖的背景下, 中国面临着日益频繁和严峻的极端天气气候事件, 其中以多种气候驱动因子和/或灾害相互作用而形成的复合型极端事件风险尤为突出.本文首先回顾了中国区域复合型极端事件的定义与分型;然后综述了不同类型复合型极端事件的演变特征,形成机制以及未来预估等方面的研究进展;随后, 探讨了日夜持续型极端高温事件,温湿复合事件以及高温–臭氧复合事件等三类事件对我国人群健康的潜在风险及可能的影响途径;最后, 阐述了复合型极端事件灾害风险评估框架, 并在此基础上提出了基于碳中和目标的应对策略.在总结既有研究成果的基础上, 提出了五个未来亟需关注的研究方向:(1)复合事件灾害风险链的识别问题;(2)观测资料和耦合模式性能的制约问题;(3)复合型极端事件的归因与成因问题;(4)碳减排与空气质量改善的最优路径问题;(5)多学科,多区域,多部门的合作问题.加强上述方

The tooth consists of enamel, dentin, and pulp. The outer surface of the enamel, the interface between dentin and pulp, as well as the interface between enamel and dentin is complicated. To better capture the details of the tooth, Nano Computed Tomography (CT) is used to obtain the detailed images of the tooth, and the CT images are further imported to construct the 3D structure of the tooth. This 3D model provides a precise representation of the tooth's geometry and material properties, and a numerical model is proposed based on the local radial basis function collocation method (LRBFCM), which is suitable for analyzing the complex geometry. The combination of Nano-CT and the LRBFCM offers a powerful tool for analyzing the mechanical behavior of the tooth. The stress distribution and defects of the tooth are fully studied based on the proposed numerical model.

The large-sized space environmental simulation test facility is mainly used for providing thermal radiation environment in high-vacuum,cold and dark space for satellites,spacecraft,lunar spacecraft to carry out whole satellite thermal vacuum test and for large equipment like antenna to carry out tests in TV *** the spacecraft's surface optical image or temperature is a main task in space environment simulation *** previous tests,optical image test mainly took place in a fixed position,so the measuring location and angle are *** paper focuses on large spherical space environmental simulation test facility,and designs a large arc-shape high-precision walking device in a space environment simulation test *** introduces key technology in detail like structure design,thermal design,processes and manufacturing,*** test results show that this device can work steadily and reliably under simulation space environments,and the precision exceeds 0.5.

Background and Objective: Iliac limb occlusion (ILO) is a serious complication of endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), and most require timely reintervention. The study aims to explore pathogenesis, risk factors and prediction models of ILO combining anatomical and near-wall hemodynamic characteristics. Methods: 75 AAA patients with EVAR (occlusion 25;patency 50) were included. Pre-EVAR and early post-EVAR anatomical (proximal neck angulation, radius, curvature, torsion and tortuosity) and near-wall hemodynamic parameters (time-averaged wall shear stress [TAWSS], oscillatory shear index [OSI] and relative residence time [RRT]) were quantified based on numerical simulation validated through in vitro experiment. The causation of ILO was investigated statistically in three perspectives: differences between patent and occluded patients, effect of EVAR and asymmetries between occluded and patent iliac arteries (IAs). A new parameter, the difference ratio of EVAR (DRE) or IAs (DRI), was proposed to evaluate the degree of changes caused by EVAR and asymmetries between bilateral IAs. Results: The occluded patients had higher TAWSS (p = 0.004) and larger torsion of common IA (p = 0.033) at pre-EVAR than patent patients. At early post-EVAR, OSI and RRT of future occluded IA were significantly higher than patent IA. The difference ratio of pre-EVAR and early post-EVAR RRT (DRE of RRT) on occluded IA was also higher than that on patent IA (p = 0.025). A prediction model for ILO (area under curve = 0.924) was developed combining anatomical and near-wall hemodynamic variables, where DRI of pre-EVAR OSI had the highest odds ratio [OR] of 5.45 (1.77‒16.74, p = 0.003), and pre-EVAR radius of external IA had the lowest OR of 0.06 (0.01‒0.45, p = 0.007). In this paper, a method of shielding the object behind a discrete metal wire array is proposed and verified by anechoic chamber experiments. Results show that if the metal wire array is dense enough (cell size is smaller than half of the wavelength), the object behind it can be effectually shielded by the discrete metal wire array. The principle can be applied to electromagnetic camouflage and protection. © 2018 IEEE.

Sub-seasonal to Seasonal Hindcasts of Stratospheric Sudden Warming by BCC_CSM1.1(m):A Comparison with ECMWF

This study focuses on model predictive skill with respect to stratospheric sudden warming(SSW) events by comparing the hindcast results of BCC_CSM1.1(m) with those of the ECMWF's model under the sub-seasonal to seasonal prediction project of the World Weather Research Program and World Climate Research Program. When the hindcasts are initiated less than two weeks before SSW onset, BCC_CSM and ECMWF show comparable predictive skill in terms of the temporal evolution of the stratospheric circumpolar westerlies and polar temperature up to 30 days after SSW onset. However, with earlier hindcast initialization, the predictive skill of BCC_CSM gradually decreases, and the reproduced maximum circulation anomalies in the hindcasts initiated four weeks before SSW onset replicate only 10% of the circulation anomaly intensities in observations. The earliest successful prediction of the breakdown of the stratospheric polar vortex accompanying SSW onset for BCC_CSM(ECMWF) is the hindcast initiated two(three) weeks earlier. The predictive skills of both models during SSW winters are always higher than that during non-SSW winters, in relation to the successfully captured tropospheric precursors and the associated upward propagation of planetary waves by the model initializations. To narrow the gap in SSW predictive skill between BCC_CSM and ECMWF, ensemble forecasts and error corrections are performed with BCC_CSM. The SSW predictive skill in the ensemble hindcasts and the error corrections are improved compared with the previous control forecasts.

Large working bandwidth is now an attractive topic for FSS design, while it's hard to acquire a FSS structure with very wide bandwidth. So the way to actively tune the response frequency of the FSS, thus giving dynamic wide bandwidth maybe an available solution to this problem. In this paper, a two-layer structure loaded with variable capacitor was proposed to adjust resonance frequency. The upper layer employs strip lines and the lower layer joins capacitors between the cross rings to tune the frequency response curves of the whole structure quantitatively. This active frequency selective surface (AFSS) is sensitive to the change of loaded capacitance in some range while stay invariably above that, in which element can be regarded as being connected. Simulation results indicates that the rationality of analysis, which provides a general method to adjust resonance frequency and guides the active design of corresponding passive FSS in return.

In terms that most researches about Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) concentrate on single layer structure design or FSS with one fundamental mode, a multilayer heterogeneous dual-band frequency selective surface composed of slot FSS, dielectric medium, patch FSS is proposed. This FSS possess miniaturized unit cell with dimension of 6× 6mm2, it acts as a dual-band filter in given bands while behaving as an entire reflector in others. Results show that this dual-band frequency selective surface has narrow transmission bandwidths near 8.5GHz and 19.5GHz and flat rejection bands except for that. The structure exhibits excellent stability for oblique incident angles and provides polarization-independent response with compact design which moves the operating bands away from grating lobes. A method to adjust the element's size is proposed as well based on basic elements when given pass band frequency changed. © 2018 IEEE.
