Renewablepower to ammonia (RePtA) is a prominent zero-carbon pathway for decarbonization. Due to the imbalance between renewables and production energy demand, the RePtA system relies on electricity exchange with the power grid. Participating in the electricity market as a virtual power plant (VPP) may help to reduce energy costs. However, the power profile of local photovoltaics and wind turbines is similar to those in the market, resulting in rising energy costs under the conventional strategy. Hence, we develop a multi-timescale trading strategy for the RePtA VPP in the electricity, hydrogen, and ammonia markets. By utilizing the hydrogen and ammonia buffer systems, the RePtA VPP can optimally coordinate production planning. Moreover, we find it possible to describe the trading of electricity, ammonia, and hydrogen in a unified timeframe. The two-stage robust optimization model of the electricity market is extended to multiple markets and solved by the column and constraint generation (CC&G) algorithm. The case is derived from an actual project in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Sensitivity analysis demonstrates the economic advantages of the RePtA VPP joining multiple markets over the conventional strategy and reveals the necessity of the hydrogen and ammonia buffer and reactor flexibility. © 2023 IEEE.

When partial discharge occurs in the transformer, it will produce higher frequency pulse current, high frequency phenomenon will enhance the circuit capacitance effect, making the circuit bandwidth, in order to detect the local discharge signal so as to realize the transformer for equipment monitoring, the establishment of the transformer broadband equivalent circuit model, the propagation law of partial discharge pulse current signal in the transformer is investigated, and the effects of four denoising methods are compared under different evaluation indexes;finally, a typical transformer partial discharge condition is studied, and the validity of the transformer partial discharge research based on the wide-band equivalent circuit is verified. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes an economic dispatch strategy for virtual power plants(VPP) based on distributed multi-agent algorithms to optimize resource allocation and maximize the VPP economy, in response to the volatility and uncertainty associated with a significant amount of renewable energy. An economic dispatch model for VPP is established in which the coefficients of the cost function are time-varying to account for the effect of the renewable energy output variation. Then a distributed multi-agent algorithm based on graph theory and the Lagrange multiplier method is developed to facilitate communication among individual units and minimize the total operational cost of the system. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated through numerical examples, which demonstrate its capability to optimize resource allocation, achieve economic dispatch for the VPP, and exhibit a rapid rate of convergence.

Half-wave commutated modular multilevel converter (HWC-MMC) is suitable for high-voltage large-capacity AC-AC conversion, and an appropriate capacitor voltage balancing strategy is essential. This paper analyzes the condition of capacitor voltage balancing and proposes a capacitor voltage balancing strategy based on optimal zero-sequence voltage injection using the model predictive control. Finally, the simulation is carried out to verify the proposed strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

Toilet quality assurance is a crucial process in ensuring lavatories meet rigorous performance, durability, and hygiene standards. The current standard of Maximum Performance (MaP) testing faces challenges, leading researchers to explore innovative approaches such as sound source classification for quality assurance. This approach involves collecting a diverse dataset of lavatory sounds and extracting relevant acoustic features. Deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs), are trained on these features to accurately classify sound sources. The trained models were evaluated and compared by considering metrics such as classification accuracy, computational complexity, and model parameters. This paper performs these tests and chooses the most effective model to enhance the quality assurance process for toilets. Incorporating sound source classification techniques has several benefits, including the optimization of testing processes, non-intrusive performance assessment, and efficient resource utilization through targeted testing and troubleshooting. By improving the standards of lavatory quality, this approach ensures enhanced performance, durability, and hygiene of lavatories.

Nowadays, mobile robots play an important role in a variety of service scenarios. They need to plan and track trajectories to accomplish tasks such as delivery or guided tours. In such tasks, there are two remaining challenges: on one hand, the time and memory consumption of present path planners are still significant; on the other hand, service robots, which have a higher center of gravity, demand greater moving stability than that of current trajectory planners provide. To address these two challenges. Firstly, we propose a safety boundary first A* which fully utilizes environmental obstacle information to create a safety boundary and searches in it to quickly find an initial path. Secondly, we formulate the trajectory optimization problem as a nonlinear optimization problem, where the smoothness, safety, feasibility, and moving stability of the robot are taken into account. Furthermore, to constrain the robot's lateral acceleration, we design a time allocation algorithm based on non-uniform B-spline, enhancing the quality of the resulting trajectory. Simulations and real-world experiments demonstrate that our algorithms significantly improve path search efficiency, enhance moving stability, reduce the difficulty of tracking, and improve the quality of task completion.

To enhance the efficiency and stability of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems, and to address the issue of misjudgment in the traditional perturbation and observation method (P&O), an adaptive MPPT control approach based on light intensity prediction is proposed. Firstly, the correlation between the input and output of the system is analyzed to determine the necessary input terms. Secondly, the multi-time series LSTM algorithm is utilized to select pertinent historical PV sequence information according to the correlation analysis results, enabling short-term prediction of PV output. Finally, the Boost circuit is employed as the control object, with the light intensity prediction result serving as the input to adaptively adjust the step size of the P&O. Through the MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform, the results demonstrate that the adaptive variable step size photovoltaic MPPT algorithm based on light intensity prediction can effectively mitigate power oscillation in steady state while exhibiting good tracking speed and accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

In this research, a high-altitude, compact and rapidly deployable, air-launched, inflatablewinged aircraft is designed, developed, and flight-tested to investigate the flight characteristics of inflatable-winged aircraft as well as the in-flight inflation and dynamic deployment properties when launched from various carriers. To start with, two types of inflatable wings employing different materials have been designed, fabricated, and tested, the tests including structural characteristics tests, inflation properties tests, and low-Reynolds-number wind-tunnel tests. A full-scale 30-kilogram prototype unmanned aerial vehicle with inflatable wings was then designed, assembled and tested with some basic low-altitude flights to verify the feasibility of the aerodynamic layout and the trim and stability and control characteristics. Finally, low- and high-altitude in-flight launches will be conducted to study the dynamic deployment properties and high-altitude flight characteristics of this design. © 2025, American institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. With the further development of space communication satellite payload technology, the demand for active phased array antenna (APAA) is increasing, and heat dissipation is a key technical problem affecting the performance of APAA. In order to ensure an ideal temperature range and reduce temperature difference in orbit, a thermal design method of a high power APAA of GEO communication satellite is proposed. The heat pipes are embedded in the active satellite installing plate to solve the heat collection, uniformly distributing temperature and heat transfer, and the active satellite installing plate is not only the structural support of the antenna but also the cooling plate of the antenna. The heat of APAA is taken away by integrated thermal coupling with the satellite platform, which is exchanged between both sides of the active satellite installing plate and the cold plate based liquid cooling, and afterwards is transmitted to the thermal radiators of satellite through single-phased fluid loop. The simulation analysis results show that the temperature and the temperature difference of the APAA meet the requirements of thermal reliability and design performance. The thermal control method used provides a feasible design reference for the thermal design of similar GEO orbit communication satellite APAA. © 2022, Science Press.

The dynamic modelling of industrial robots is of great value for analyzing the mechanism of robot vibration and improving the performance of robots. To meet the high-performance requirements of industrial robots, the impact of vibration of the robotic arm on the robot’s positioning accuracy cannot be ignored. However, traditional modelling methods rarely consider the manipulator vibration in ways that reflect the mechanism of the vibration coupling between the manipulator and joints of industrial robots. This paper examines the multi-centroid finite particle method and its application in the dynamic modelling of industrial robots, the method which uses a simple and unified framework for dynamic analysis of the model. Compared to the finite particle method, the reverse motion of its multiple centroids not only has a simpler derivation process, but also effectively reduces the influence of the element rigid body displacement on the solution of the pure deformation of the node, improving the convergence of the rigid body rotation-flexible deformation coupling model calculations. A cantilever beam model was used to verify the accuracy and convergence of the method. Furthermore, the multi-centroid finite particle method was combined with positive kinematics to model the dynamics of industrial robots, the results of which were compared with experimental data. It was shown that the modelling and the experimental results had a high degree of agreement, the mechanism of the vibration coupling of the robot arm and joint being further analyzed. © 2023, The Authors.
