As Web applications evolve, their structures become more and more complex. Web browsers may influence on the correctness of the Web applications, and Web browser's interactions can cause further complications of Web application. Existing navigation models are static ones on the whole. Users' navigation paths are all determined on stage of model design. Web browser interactions have not been taken into account make them different from practical navigation in Web applications. Moreover, as Web applications evolve and new technologies emerge, adaptive navigation was wildly incorporated in current Web applications. It aggravates the complexity of Web navigations. In this paper, a practical approach to modeling of Web applications and generating tests was proposed. And special care is taken on Web browser's interactions and adaptive navigation during the user's traversal within hypermedia space. At last, test generation is given out which satisfy the corresponding coverage. © 2010 IEEE.

Unified modeling language (UML) sequence diagrams combined with the UML profile for modeling and analysis of real-time and embedded (MARTE) systems are used to represent the systems' requirements. To enhance formal analysis, sequence diagrams annotated with MARTE stereotypes are mapped into timed colored Petri nets with inhibitor arcs (TCPNIA). The mapping rules for the fragments of sequence diagrams and MARTE stereotypes are proposed respectively. The mapping rules for general ordering between messages are proposed to cope with complicated interactions. The data related issues are handled through colored properties in TCPNIA models, guard functions and operational functions. A mapping rule for state invariant is proposed based on data related information. Through state invariant, complicated control relations can be expressed. Formal definitions for morphing and substitution in TCPNIA models are given. They provide modular and hierarchical modeling methods for TCPINA models. A case study shows the applicability and feasibility of our method. ©2010 IEEE.

Virtual machine consolidation (VMC) is an important issue in cloud computing, which can be used to reduce power consumption and achieve reasonable resource allocation. In this paper, an IMBBO algorithm is proposed to solve the multi-objective optimization problem of VMC through improving the classical Biogeography-Based Optimization (BBO). An improved Cosine migration model and an improved mutation model are presented to increase the efficiency of achieving the optimal solution. Meanwhile, three optimization objectives for server power consumption, load balancing and migration resource overhead are mainly addressed. Finally, several experiments are done to evaluate the performance of IMBBO by comparing with Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) based on the synthetic and real VM running data. The rapid development of machine learning (ML) systems has raised many concerns over their quality. Due to the inherent complexity and uncertainty, most of the traditional quality assurance techniques have been challenged, including requirements specification. Current strategies mainly focus on model extraction from existing neural networks to improve interpretability and facilitate system analysis, but failing to include user expectations on the system. To handle the problem, this paper proposes a specification framework for ML requirements where each ML system is regarded as a set of snapshot systems along the evolvement process. There are 3 layers in the framework and the hierarchy indicates that higher-level models need to be built based on lower-level ones. The bottom layer consists of meta snapshot model and meta data model serving as the meta models for snapshot systems and data requirements respectively. The middle layer is for snapshot models each describing a snapshot system through relations between its outputs produced with different inputs. The top layer is a learning model capturing the evolvement process by transitions among snapshot models. These transitions are activated by data models instantiated from meta data model. We adopt the specification of a self-driving system to illustrate the framework. © 2022 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. All rights reserved.

Reinforcement learning has been successfully applied to assess the reliability of applications, but the existing testing methods based on reinforcement learning have the problems of invalid interactive widgets and difficult training, resulting in low testing efficiency. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a lightweight application automation testing method of deep reinforcement learning based on multi-attribute fusion (MARtesting). First, the invalid widgets are removed by the difference operation of the attribute sets of the current and previous state, then the attributes of all widget elements on the page are abstracted into state as the input of the neural network, and a state is accurately determined by fusing the position and text information of page elements, finally combine the novelty of the state and the execution frequency of the action as a reward function. The experimental results on six open source applications show that the MARtesting method proposed in this paper has achieved significant improvements in code coverage and branch coverage compared with existing methods. © 2022 IEEE.

To enhance formal analysis, activity diagrams annotated with MARTE stereotypes are mapped into timed colored Petri nets with inhibitor arcs (TCPNIA). The mapping rules for the elements of activity diagrams and MARTE stereotypes are proposed respectively. The rules to map pin nodes and object flows to Petri nets are presented. These nodes can improve activity diagrams modeling abilities for complicated systems. The reaching of any final nodes will stop all the flows in an activity. A method to map final nodes into Petri nets preserving this semantics is also presented with the help of inhibitor arcs. The data related issues are processed through colored properties in the TCPNIA model, guard functions and operational functions. © 2010 IEEE.

As the weight of the general system characteristics (GSC) in IFPUG method is the same in the different types of software systems. To solve the problem, this article uses the Fuzzy AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) approach to assign weight to the fourteen general system characteristics, and gives the improved formula of VAF. It makes IFPUG method more suitable to these other types of software systems besides the information management system. An example of functional size measurement is given to illustrate the feasibility of this method. And it also illustrates that the fuzzy AHP approach can get a better accuracy of the function point counting, and reduces the deviation. © 2012 IEEE.

As the application of smart contracts in blockchain technology becomes increasingly widespread, their security issues have emerged as a focal point of both research and practice. Although symbolic execution technology has been extensively applied for the detection of security vulnerabilities in smart contracts, its limitations in terms of execution efficiency and code coverage remain significant. In response to these challenges, this study introduces an innovative method named HoneyToken-DetectorRev, which optimizes traditional symbolic execution through program slicing technology, aiming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of smart contract security detection. By selecting ten smart contracts from the Ethereum platform, which vary in business logic and complexity, we conducted an empirical analysis of HoneyToken-DetectorRev. The experimental results demonstrate that this method significantly improves the efficiency of smart contract detection without sacrificing precision. This research not only provides an effective technical approach for the security detection of smart contracts but also offers theoretical and practical guidance for further enhancing the security of blockchain applications. © 2024 IEEE.

The development and wide application of the internet technology produces a large amount of data, in order to storage and manage these massive data, NoSQL database technology comes into beings and develops rapidly, many manufacturers have introduced many different NoSQL storage solutions. In this context, the paper carries out the work about the testing method of the performance of NoSQL database. Firstly, the paper analyses the new features of the NoSQL database systems. Then, the paper proposes a general testing model for performance testing of the complicated system, which means that the architecture and its business should be considered when the testing work is carried out. Lastly, apply the model to perform the HBase's performance testing in the architecture level, mainly including some elements of the performance, such as the column-oriented data model, the spilt mechanism of the data table, the factor of the data replication. As to the every performance element, design the corresponding testing scenario and execute the testing procedure. © 2013 IEEE.

The paper models and verifies RF Protocol by Petri nets which can ensure reliable execution of RF protocol in the digital home environment and analyze its dynamic properties.
