The Fully Automated Operation (FAO) system poses a challenge for urban rail transit system in China as it is difficult to determine fault property and process of revenue service, and it is lacking of operational experiences of new system and constraints of traditional system. For this reason, the article attempts to explore the nature of changing mechanism happened in FAO system including human and organization as well as devices, which can be considered as a whole system called socio-technical system. In order to control the risk of FAO system to vary in a range which can be controlled, we propose a set of dynamic archetypes of human and organizational factors to trace the evolution of system's risk, and to seek the negative factors resulting in high risk in FAO system. The failure models based on system dynamics will reveal the key dynamic characteristics of FAO system which can be managed in an effective way. These archetypes also can help to predict the human and organizational risks of FAO system, to monitor the drifting safety boundary, and to analyze the boot cause in accident.

ABSTRACTABSTRACTAiming at tackling the difficulty in establishing a sea surface temperature (SST) dynamical model, this study develops a non-linear dynamical–statistical model of SST fields and their correlative factors based on Genetic Algorithms (GA) and the dynamical system reconstruction idea, which greatly improves the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) forecast model. Using Hadley SST data, sea surface wind (SSW) and sea level pressure (SLP) data from the National centers for Environmental Prediction-National center for Environmental research (NCEP-NCAR), with empirical orthogonal function (EOF) time-space for reconstruction, we carry out numerical integral forecasting experiments for SST, SSW, and SLP fields. By statistical analysis of the forecasting experiments, we find that forecasts for less than 25 months perform better than longer term forecasts. Based on the model, we forecast SST, SSW, and SLP fields in September, October, and November 2014 and predict a weak La Niña event. The adsorption performance of commercial activated carbon（AC） for formaldehyde at room temperature was investigated. The BET surface area of AC is 805 m2/g, and the average pore diameter of AC was found to be 2.9 nm by the nitrogen adsorption method. The result of the adsorption capacity of AC showed that the removal ratio of formaldehyde was obviously increased with adsorption time in the first 5 hours and then was almost unchanged. The highest removal ratio of formaldehyde by AC is 2%. The cycle test of the formaldehyde removal by AC indicated that the highest removal ratio of formaldehyde declined slightly with cycles and kept unchanged after 4 cycles. The lowest removal ratio of formaldehyde by commercial AC at room temperature still reached 80%.

MnOx/ luffa sponge composites were prepared by loading MnOx on/in porous luffa sponge under ambient conditions and an in-situ reduction method. We employed the oxidative decomposition of HCHO as probe reaction to investigate the effect of KMnO4 concentration on the catalytic activity of MnOx/ luffa sponge composites. It is shown that all the MnOx/ luffa sponge composites bear the activity for the catalytic decomposition of HCHO;the conversion of HCHO was found to be high at room temperature;the conversion level of HCHO was first increased and then decreased with the increase in the KMnO4 concentration. The HCHO conversion over the catalyst prepared from 10 g/L of KMnO4 solution was the largest among five catalysts.

Onboard equipment of CTCS-3 train control system has to be executed the interoperability test by the independent third-party test bench before it running on the lines. During the test, it has a large amount and higher frequency in the data transmission, test phenomenon occurs on several visible interfaces and frequently, test data should be captured and displayed graphically in real time during the test, it should also be replayed graphically after the test, the fault in the test could be analyzed repeatedly, therefore it makes the data recording and analysis easier to read and estimate, help to generate final test result. In this paper, test data capture and analysis system is built based on multi-resolution modeling, related information is organized reasonably, provide the information detail that the tester concerns maximum, improve the simulation fidelity and testing efficiency. The system is implemented using Labview tools, and verify the simulation result.

The Onboard system is a typical safety-critical system, in which any fault can lead to huge human injury or wealth losing. Function testing method which is mainly focus on the conformance relation between the specification and the SUT has been widely used in testing the Onboard system in the past few years. However, most of the test cases are manually generated which can't be reused and leads to repeat works when the specification is changed. To improve the testing efficiency and quality, Model-based testing method is introduced. We use a tool chain to generate test case automatically based on Timed Automata theory and apply in function testing of the Onboard system. EBD-TR timed automata network model is established using tool Uppaal. And based on the EBD-TR model, two kinds of coverage criteria (all-location coverage, and all-edge coverage) are used in tool of CoVer to generate test case automatically. Different test suits of the Onboard system are acquired and a complete model transition function test suit is derived which is proven very useful for testing the Onboard system.

In CBTC (Communications Based Train control) system, interlocking is considered to be one of the most fundamental system which features in logic complexity and high safety demand. Traditionally, the development and verification of interlocking system is entirely a manual process which relies too much on designers' experience and some corner-case bugs may not be revealed. In order to solve these problems, our emphasis is paid on formal modeling and model-based verification. This paper introduces an innovative modeling approach to construct system model, express main safety properties, and execute formally verification using SCADE. This method is proven to be helpful for improving the quality and efficiency of interlocking software in practice.
