Reducing the capacitor voltage ripple amplitude of the modular multilevel converter (MMC) submodule is expected to reduce the capacitance of the module capacitors, which is very important for the increase of the power density. In the method of reducing capacitor voltage fluctuations of MMC submodule, flying-capacitor modular multilevel converter (FC-MMC) has gained extensive attentions because of its good performance. It is characterized by the connection of upper and lower arm middle taps through a flying capacitor in per phase arm. However, the reduction of the capacitance of flying capacitor requires an increase in switching frequency, which means high switching loss for the converter. Therefore, SiC MOSFET has a good application prospect in FC-MMC due to its low switching loss. This paper mainly compares the capacitor voltage fluctuation between FC-MMC and MMC, and the advantages of SiC MOSFET in FC-MMC applications. © 2020 IEEE.

The common-mode voltage in three-phase inverter may harm the motor drive system. If only non-zero space vector is used, it can be suppressed by appropriate Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) method. In this paper, a Nonzero Vector Pulse Width Modulation (NZPWM) technique is proposed to suppress common-mode voltage for three-phase inverter. In sectors I, III and V, instead of the real zero voltage vectors, two opposite voltage vectors near to the active voltage vectors are utilized. In sectors II, IV and VI, the first active voltage vector and the voltage vector opposite to the first active voltage vector are utilized. Therefore, the amplitude of common-mode voltage can be reduced to one sixth of DC bus voltage. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed NZPWM is effective for common-mode voltage suppression. © 2020 IEEE.

There are frequent reports of cable rupture accidents on the transmission line crossing high-speed railways. A simulation method for dynamic response and fatigue life of transmission lines considering natural wind and train induced wind is presented and verified by field tests. Based on a case study, the displacement time history and fatigue damage of conductors under wind loads are analyzed, and the effects of different parameters are discussed. The results show that the fatigue damage caused by train induced wind can reach 127% of natural wind, and its influence on the fatigue life of transmission lines cannot be ignored. Raising height or avoiding the most unfavorable span length can effectively reduce the influence of train induced wind. The proposed method can be used for the structural design and safety assessment of transmission lines crossing the high-speed railway, and it can provide references to the design of damping devices. © 2020 IEEE.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials have exhibited significant potential in the field of metal anticorrosion coatings. However, nanosheets with high electrical conductivity may promote "corrosion-enhancing activity," thereby compromising the protective efficacy of the coating. In contrast, metal oxide nanosheets derived from layered compounds present a promising alternative due to their favorable properties. In this study, a composite ink for AZ31 magnesium alloy anticorrosion with blade coating method is fabricated by polydopamine (PDA)-coated ZrO2 nanosheets/polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). The surface composition and microstructure of the resulting coating are systematically characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The anticorrosion properties of the composite coating are evaluated through potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The electrochemical results demonstrate that the ZrO2@PDA/PVDF coating achieves a corrosion protection efficiency of 99.93 %, with a corrosion current density of 9.48 × 10−8 A·cm−2, which is three orders of magnitude lower than that of bare AZ31. This study provides a new insight into the scalable application of metal oxide nanosheets in metal anticorrosion coatings. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

The high penetration of variable renewable energy sources (RES) in the power system poses substantial risks to the operation of the electricity power market. How to ensure the stability and economy of power market operation while consuming RES is a great challenge for transmission expansion planning (TEP). In this paper, we propose a price signal-based planning model that takes into account the interests of the customer side, which can promote the consumption of RES, effectively cope with the price fluctuations caused by the volatility of RES, suppress the price spikes and reduce the price risks of the customer side.

In recent years, the multi-module motor becomes more and more popular because of its advantage in control freedom. In the multi-module motor system driven by paralleled inverters, the carrier phase-shift modulation algorithm can change the phase of the radical electromagnetic force between the motor modules in high-frequency, which can change the motor vibration characteristics. This paper firstly analyzes the relationship between carrier shifted-angle and the radial electromagnetic force of the motor, theoretically. Then, the motor vibration experiments are implemented which obtains the vibration distribution of the multi-module motor under different carrier shifted-angles. According to theoretical analysis and experimental results, we can get the vibration characteristics and mechanism of multi-module motors with different carrier shifted-angles, which provide a new viewpoint for the further research on vibration reduction methods of multi-module motors. © 2020 IEEE.

MFGS2Net: A Morphological Features Guided Scale Separation Network for Remote Sensing Panoptic Segmentation

Remote sensing panoptic segmentation (RSPS) plays a crucial role in the intelligent interpretation of remote sensing data. Specifically, panoptic segmentation of airport scenes presents significant challenges due to the diverse shapes of terminal buildings, along with variations in their appearance, size, scale, materials, and color, all of which make the segmentation task highly complex. The intricate geometric shapes and varying scale parameters lead to the entangled object scales in the feature space, posing challenges for accurate segmentation. These factors collectively contribute to the complexity of panoptic segmentation for irregularly shaped buildings. Current mainstream mask-based panoptic segmentation methods do not fully consider the importance of enhancing and integrating low-level and high-level semantic features. They lack the ability to decouple features, leading to misclassification and false negatives. To solve the above-mentioned problem of panoptic segmentation of irregularly shaped buildings, this study designs a morphology-guided feature aggregation (MGFA) module to establish the correlation between low and high level semantic features at different stages. At the same time, a multiorder semantic decoupling (MOSD) module is designed to capture structural information at different scales and improve the network’s understanding of complex structural information. In addition, due to the lack of datasets for transportation hub scenarios in the RSPS task, we have collected the airport remote sensing panoptic segmentation (AP-RSPS) dataset to promote the practical application of RSPS tasks. Extensive experiments on the AP-RSPS dataset and BSB aerial dataset show that the proposed morphological features guided scale separation network (MFGS2Net) outperforms several SOTA methods. © 1980-2012 IEEE.

Developing cost-effective and reliable solid-state sodium batteries with superior performance is crucial for stationary energy storage.A key component in facilitating their application is a solid-state electrolyte with high conductivity and ***,we employed aliovalent cation substitution to enhance ionic conductivity while preserving the crystal *** substitution of Y^(3+)with Zr^(4+)in Na_(5)YSi_(4)O_(12) introduced Naþion vacancies,resulting in high bulk and total conductivities of up to 6.5 and 3.3 mS cm^(-1),respectively,at room temperature with the composition Na_(4.92)Y_(0.92)Zr_(0.08)Si_(4)O_(12)(NYZS).NYZS shows exceptional electrochemical stability(up to 10 V ***þ/Na),favorable interfacial compatibility with Na,and an excellent critical current density of 2.4 mA cm^(-2).The enhanced conductivity of Naþions in NYZS was elucidated using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance techniques and theoretical simulations,revealing two migration routes facilitated by the synergistic effect of increased Naþion vacancies and improved chemical environment due to Zr^(4+)*** extends the list of suitable solid-state electrolytes and enables the facile synthesis of stable,low-cost Naþion silicate electrolytes.
