Ultra-low power MoS2 optoelectronic synapse with wavelength sensitivity for color target recognition

Optoelectronic synapses that integrate visual perception and pre-processing hold significant potential for neuromorphic vision systems（NVSs）. However, due to a lack of wavelength sensitivity, existing NVS mainly focuses on gray-scale image processing, making it challenging to recognize color images. Additionally, the high power consumption of optoelectronic synapses, compared to the 10 fJ energy consumption of biological synapses, limits their broader application. To address these challenges, an energy-efficient NVS capable of color target recognition in a noisy environment was developed,utilizing a MoS2optoelectronic synapse with wavelength sensitivity. Benefiting from the distinct photon capture capabilities of 450, 535, and 650 nm light, the optoelectronic synapse exhibits wavelength-dependent synaptic plasticity, including excitatory postsynaptic current（EPSC）, paired-pulse facilitation（PPF）, and long-term plasticity（LTP）. These properties can effectively mimic the visual memory and color discrimination functions of the human vision system. Results demonstrate that the NVS, based on MoS2optoelectronic synapses, can eliminate the color noise at the sensor level, increasing color image recognition accuracy from 50% to 90%. Importantly, the optoelectronic synapse operates at a low voltage spike of0.0005 V, consuming only 0.075 fJ per spike, surpassing the energy efficiency of both existing optoelectronic and biological synapses. This ultra-low power, color-sensitive device eliminates the need for color filters and offers great promise for future deployment in filter-free NVS.

In recent decades, origami has transitioned from a traditional art form into a systematic field of scientific inquiry, characterized by attributes such as high foldability, lightweight frameworks, diverse deformation modes, and limited degrees-of-freedom. Despite the abundant literature on smart materials, actuation methods, design principles, and manufacturing techniques, comprehensive reviews focusing on the mechanical properties of origami-inspired structures are relatively rare and unsystematic. This review aims to fill this void by analyzing and summarizing the significant studies conducted on the mechanical properties of origami-inspired structures from 2013 to 2023. We begin with an overview that includes essential definitions of origami, classical origami patterns, and their associated tessellated or stacked structures. Following this, we delve into the principal dynamic modeling method for origami and conduct an in-depth analysis of the key mechanical properties of origami-inspired structures. These properties include tunable stiffness, bistability and multistability, metamechanical properties demonstrated by origami-based metamaterials, and bio-inspired mechanical properties. Finally, we conclude with a comprehensive summary that discusses the current challenges and future directions in the field of origami-inspired structures. Our review provides a thorough synthesis of both the mechanical properties and practical applications of origami-inspired structures, aiming to serve as a reference and stimulate further research. © 2025 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Medical anatomy segmentation is essential for computer-aided diagnosis and lesion localization in medical images. For example, segmenting individual ribs benefits localizing the lung lesions and providing vital medical measurements (such as rib spacing) for generating medical reports. Existing methods segment shape-different anatomies (such as striped ribs, bulky lungs, and angular scapula) with the same network architecture, the morphology heterogeneity is heavily overlooked. Although some shape-aware operators like deformable convolution and dynamic snake convolution have been introduced to cater to specific object morphology, they still struggle with orientation-varying strip structures, such as 24 ribs and 2 clavicles. In this paper, we propose a novel convolution plugin (DSC-AMP) for medical anatomy segmentation, which is comprised of a dynamic strip convolution (DSC) operator and an adaptive morphology perception (AMP) strategy. Specifically, the dynamic strip convolution customizes gradually varying directions and offsets for each local region, achieving dynamic striped receptive fields. Additionally, the adaptive morphology perception strategy incorporates insights from various shape-aware convolutional kernels, enabling the model to discern and integrate crucial representations corresponding to heterogeneous anatomies. Extensive experiments on two large-scale datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach for tackling heterogeneous medical anatomy segmentation. © 2025 IEEE. Due to its decentralized,tamper-proof,and trust-free characteristics,blockchain is used in the Internet of Things(IoT)to guarantee the reliability of ***,some technical flaws in blockchain itself prevent the development of these applications,such as the issue with linearly growing storage capacity of blockchain *** the other hand,there is a lack of storage resources for sensor devices in IoT,and numerous sensor devices will generate massive data at ultra-high speed,which makes the storage problem of the IoT enabled by blockchain more *** are various solutions to reduce the storage burden by modifying the blockchain’s storage policy,but most of them do not consider the willingness of *** attempt to make the blockchain more compatible with the IoT,this paper proposes a storage optimization scheme that revisits the system data storage problem from amore practically oriented *** will only store transactional data that they are directly involved *** addition,a transaction verification model is developed to enable peers to undertake transaction verification with the aid of cloud computing,and an incentive mechanism is premised on the storage optimization scheme to assure data *** results of the simulation experiments demonstrate the proposed scheme’s advantage in terms of storage and throughput.

Polarization is an important attribute of light and can be artificially modulated as a versatile information *** polarization-sensitive photodetection relies on a combination of polarizing optical elements and standard photodetectors,which requires a substantial amount of space and manufacturing *** onchip polarized photodetectors have been realized in recent years based on two-dimensional(2D)materials with lowsymmetry crystal structures,they are limited by the intrinsic anisotropic property and thus the optional range of materials,the operation wavelength,and more importantly,the low anisotropic ratio,hindering their practical *** this work,we construct a versatile platform that transcends the constraints of material anisotropy,by integrating WSe2-based photodetector with MoS2-based field-effect transistor,delivering high-performance broadband polarization detection capability with orders of magnitude improvement in anisotropic ratio and on/off *** polarization arises from hot electron injection caused by the plasmonic metal electrode and is amplified by the transistor to raise the anisotropic ratio from 2 to an impressive value over 60 in the infrared(iR)band,reaching the level of existing ***,the system achieves a significant improvement in photosensitivity,with an on/off ratio of over 1o3 in the IR *** on the above performance optimization,we demonstrated its polarization-modulated IR optical communication ability and polarized artificial vision applications with a high image recognition accuracy of~99%.The proposed platform provides a promising route for the development of the longsought minimized,high-performance,multifunctional optoelectronic systems.

Now object detection based on deep learning tries different *** uses fewer data training networks to achieve the effect of large dataset ***,the existing methods usually do not achieve the balance between network parameters and training *** makes the information provided by a small amount of picture data insufficient to optimize model parameters,resulting in unsatisfactory detection *** improve the accuracy of few shot object detection,this paper proposes a network based on the transformer and high-resolution feature extraction(THR).High-resolution feature extractionmaintains the resolution representation of the *** and spatial attention are used to make the network focus on features that are more useful to the *** addition,the recently popular transformer is used to fuse the features of the existing *** compensates for the previous network failure by making full use of existing object *** on the Pascal VOC and MS-COCO datasets prove that the THR network has achieved better results than previous mainstream few shot object detection.
